There was also Maple French Toast coffee so tough choice. I also bought home a large fresh Apple Cinnamon glazed coil shaped pastry to share. Superior to coffee at industry kingpin Starbucks for several reasons: *lower PRICES *Self service -- so you can MIX your own blend which I do often *Tasty seasonal flavors *Hot, Iced or Cold Brew *Good selection of creamers including whole and 2% milk plus Half and Half. The staff is friendly, efficient, and focused on customer satisfaction. Checkout is quick since attention is paid to lines; you are called to another register so you do not have to wait. You can pick up a newspaper, a sweet or savory treat, a gift card, ice cream, snacks, sandwiches, small salads, bread, and of course their award winning milk. You can buy gas or use the air pump or even sit at a table if you like. And it is a local company; headquarters are in Ballston Spa. Skidded to a halt slammed a few coordinates into my GPS to find a Stewart's to quench the thirst of the big powerful bike. This bike is a stuck up snob, Only likes the finest carbon-ated juices. This is why we bring them to Stewart's. They carry a non-ethanol high-octane super fuel to turn my adventure bike into a rocket ship. After filling her to the rim, I realized I could use a little nutrition myself. Scurrying inside I see wieners, lots and lots of wieners. I thought this would be a nice treat from my usually excessively healthy diet. So I grabbed a bun and slapped the spherical meat log between the tight bun. But, when I saw the meat sauce That's when I got excited. My goal was to drowned that long weiner in so much meat sauce it would choke a hippo! Deciding to skip the forklift truck to carry this mammoth well loaded wiener I grabbed it by hand and almost dislocated my shoulder as I Dragged this hefty meat contraption outside to enjoy it in the sunlight. After finishing this mammoth mouth full of meat, it was time to get back on the bike open her up to see if that high octane fuel Will make her scream. Scream she did as the tires squealed out of the parking lot and back into the paradise of riding.

Don't have to drive out to a grocery and deal with all the people. 6. There is ample parking. 7. There are spacious gas pumping stations. 8. I can walk to it from my house and 9. It's less than a minute drive so it's right on my way home! But, this was the first time we ordered food, we really used to love Fastrac breakfast pizza but the nearest Fastrac is in Amsterdam, NY (about 20 minutes away). We heard Stewart's Shops has breakfast pizza so we thought we'd give it a try. Strongly, not recommended. Unlike Fastrac, they are pre-made so you can't customize what toppings you want. The crust is similar to a generic frozen pizza, very dense texture and no flavor. The toppings (egg, sausage, bacon and cheese) were good. But the liquid layer on the crust (we couldn't agree what it was, but am inclined to believe it's an egg product) made it very runny. So we preheated our oven at 350 degrees and put it in for 5 minutes, still runny. Left it for another 5 minutes and although somewhat better, still "slippery". The statement, "When you're hungry, you'll eat almost anything" holds true. Use some hot sauce and it makes it palatable. So use Stewart's Shops for what they do best, milk, ice cream, bread, hotdog and hamburger rolls, pastries and donuts, quick bag of chips or a beverage and gas! Leave the breakfast pizza to someone else. Problem is, who's that because you can't find it anywhere since the pizza restaurants aren't open and there aren't any Fastrac or Nice 'n Easy stores in this area.

Given the size of this Stewart's (smaller than average) and the number of gas pumps (fewer), this…read moreis evidently an older Stewart's. Its strong point is its location. It's at a busy intersection. It's also in front of a large grocery store (i.e., Hannaford), and if all you want is some of the more basic groceries, plus Stewart's products, you'll generally be satisfied here, unless you're looking for items more common to their newer, larger shops. Schenectady County typically has lower gas prices; this is not reflected here. As I recall, there are few if any other gas stations in the immediate vicinity, and Stewart's has a reputation for charging whatever they can get for gasoline when there's no other stations around. Even if you drive just a couple miles further north on Balltown Road, the next Stewart's, at the intersection of Nott St., is typically at least 6 cents a gallon cheaper. As I've said for other Stewart's shops - if the gas is pricier, get your gas someplace else, and spend the money you saved on groceries or ice cream here.

Life is funny. When…read moreI first moved to the Capital Region, I did not understand the love for Stewarts. Not one little bit. In fact, I think I may have considered the cult-like following this regional chain of convenience stores a symptom of a larger problem affecting the citizens of Upstate New York. I don't drink the coffee. Even the steamed hot dogs aren't my thing. And that egg sandwich is one of the worst things I've put in my mouth. One of the reasons I love Stewart's is for the milkshakes. As a parent, I've come to learn that there is almost no problem that can befall a child, that cannot be helped by a Stewart's shake. Generally we get an extra thick chocolate shake, make with chocolate milk, and without syrup. Sometimes we'll get it with malt powder. But lately, my daughter has been experimenting with other ice creams. The extra thick peanut butter pandemonium, made with chocolate milk, is also a winner. This Stewart's will forever be remembered as the one in which my daughter had her very first extra thick cookies and cream milkshake. When I was a teenager, one of my friends would order these all the time. And I still remember how mind-bendingly good that first sip was. It's not the most common milkshake flavor, but the fellow behind the counter at this Stewarts was well aware of its excellence. He spun up a great one, and now my daughter's eyes are opened. Obviously, this was a very personal experience, and your milage may vary. But I do love walking into a Stewarts and encountering an extra enthusiastic employee behind the ice cream counter. It makes a great experience even better. Plus, this Stewarts also has gas, those great Stewarts eggs, and a few of the other Stewarts staples I've come to love over the years.
