She proceeded to argue with me and hung up the phone on me! I called her back and asked her did she hang up on me as that was very unprofessional and rude, she started arguing with me telling me it was nothing she could do and she didn't know what to tell me! She never took accountability for her inconsistency and in turn did not handle the situation like a business woman! I put a review on face book and she used very vulgar language and got very personal as well as her boyfriend! Lacks customer service, professionalism, constructive criticism as well as tact and etiquette! So please if she does anything wrong she will play victim and attack you as if you did something wrong!

I found myself reaching out to her to finalize things more than she did me. When she handed me my daughters cake it was leaning, I am sure she seen that but she did not say anything at all. My daughter's cake ended up being lopsided to where I couldn't even take a proper picture for a cake I spent over $100 for. When I reached out to her about it she sent me the picture of the cake when it was first made and it was sitting up fine, I don't know what happened but I think she left it out for too long and it started to melt. At least notify me about it and refund me some money. She ignored my last message sent to her when I notified her about the cake leaning to the side when I picked it up.

It also has blondies, brownies, and cupcakes with unique flavors like crème brûlée and bourbon. Bri Larsen, a pastry chef with a Culinary Arts degree from Schenectady County Community College is the creative owner. She offers options for custom cakes and macaron towers. The bakery also offers in-store pickup and online ordering. Specialties: --French Macarons: A wide variety of flavors, including gluten-free options. --Blondies & Brownies: Includes unique options like "the local blondie" with Saratoga Potato Chips. --Cupcakes: A selection of flavors like caramel, cotton candy, and confetti. --Cakes: Custom-order cakes in various sizes. I am not a Macaron lover, so I bought a key lime blondie, a lemon bar, a caramel drizzle cupcake, and a gluten free raspberry drizzle cupcake. I found the blondie to be rather flavorless, but the lemon bar made up for it by being exactly what I think of when it comes to a good lemon bar. Slightly tart, a nice crust, and just a touch of sweetness on top. The gluten free cupcake was enjoyed by my friend who said it was exceptional. The other cupcake is a treat for my husband. Overall, the beautiful variety of macaroons are the breadwinner for this bakery. Not many bakeries make or sell them. Service was great--welcoming, helpful, and patient. I will definitely return. Prices are moderate considering the expertise required and the quality of the ingredients used.

I don't remember when I had a more perfect chocolate cupcake, each time I've come here, the quality and service are perfect! Consistency and good service is what I look for. The attention to detail, hospitality, and kindness from Christian, the young man who works there, is exceptional. As I wrote before, the bakery shares the parking lot with the Yemeni coffee shop Shibam next door. The Yemeni coffee is just perfect with Sweet Elevation's treats, so don't miss this spot if you visit next door. I hope they can work out on doing something together. I've gotten hooked on Sweet Elevation's chocolate cupcakes. I'm having one as I write this review (these really are the freshest and best chocolate cupcakes) with some Yemeni coffee from next door - who knew how perfectly they go together. I'm very picky when it comes to cupcakes, and these are so soft, fresh, moist, fluffy, with perfect frosting with the sprinkles! Each time! It's really cute inside the cafe. What I'm most picky about is service, and I'm impressed with Christian, he's a respectful gentleman, knowledgeable, and really helpful with recommendations. Responsible, helpful, paying attention, intelligent. People my age often complain about the younger generation, they should meet Christian, our world's future is bright with young people like this. Good luck whatever you do Christian, and may you continue to shine as you do now always! Amen!

The beautifully decorated cookies were delicious unlike others we have had that look great BUT taste awful. Hard and flavorless, after one bite, they are tossed aside. These freshly made shortbread cookies "melted" in your mouth. The butter flavor was subtle yet easy to pick out. The texture was firm yet crumbly, and they were moist! Many people wanted to know where they were purchased. I attended a Yelp Elite Event at Sweet Elevation Bakery in Latham recently, so I knew it was an outstanding bakery. I knew that they employ FT decorators/bakers for the cakes and cookies. I also learned that their Custom Cookies are a big seller. Businesses and families order them for special occasions.

There was still a good selection of items later in the day and the cinnamon rolls easily held up until the next day. They reheat wonderfully! I just wish that they had a few more as they were all occupied. It is a beautiful thing to have homemade pastry! I ordered the cinnamon bun, the eclair, the ham and Swiss roll, and the spanakopita turnover. Everything was delicious! My favorite thing was the eclair! It was by far the best declare that I've ever had in my life! And I just have to brag on it a little bit because the cream inside has real vanilla bean in it! It's not only real cream, but it's made with real vanilla bean! You can both taste it and see it in the cream once you bite into the eclair. This was just pure perfection. The least favorite thing that I had was the ham and Swiss roll. My only complaint about it really was that it was a little dry because it needed more Swiss cheese inside. It was still beautiful and flaky with a everything bagel seasoning on top and the ham was also good. Unfortunately, there was just no discernible cheese. So I missed that gooey melty center that I was looking for. I also ordered a chai latte, which they also sell as a iced latte option. It was super hot and tasted lovely! I told the girl at the register that this was my first time, she welcomed me, she answered all my questions and was super nice and accommodating. They ask you if your order is for here or to go and they offered to heat up your pastry for you either way if you were going to be eating it immediately. I thought this was a super kind and intuitive Service! See this is why I just love supporting local businesses. Many of the ones around here are top-notch and I would much rather support them than big conglomerates, monopolies and chains that don't care about their customers or quality products, they just care about profit. If you love, good pastry, then please come check out Leah's!
