Stewart's rocks. They consistently smack the ball out of the park! Ice cream bonanza? Check. Need a smoke? Got it. Need pantry items? Yup. This is the worst business I have shopped at my first problem had to do with buying cigarettes they would not sell me because the person I was with didn't have his ID on him I am 58 years old I was the person buying the cigarettes my Co worker is 25 years old my second problem is going there for a light lunch hotdogs or hamburgers never ready I an talking 2pm and later my final and last time I will shop at stewarts shops is when I complained to them they did not respond so maybe this way people should know the type of business they are dealing with and shop somewhere else we work hard for our money and should be appreciated as a customer read more

Apparently when you are 21 you cannot buy alcohol because people with you are not. That begs the question, when moms come in with their kids do you deny her service because she's with a 6 year old when she wants to buy a 12-pack? Absolutely ridiculous, my sister was with me and bought a chocolate milk, but since she wasn't 21 i couldn't purchase MY alcoholic beverage..... this was the dumbest experience i've had in so long. Like do you really need to be this uptight ..... like if I was at a restaurant with all 21+ year olds, and my sister was with us - we would all get our beverages, but she obviously would not considering she wasnt ordering or paying for one.... No logic, waste of time. Flop. Never going back. read more

This has to be the best stop for absolutely anything you want or need and you really cannot walkout without their dreamy ice cream. And the staff is just as sweet and dreamy. It's not just a gas station and convenience store--the ice cream's the star here. Be careful if you're indecisive. It's not that they have so many flavors (maybe 20?), it's just that they all seem delicious. I went with a combo of coffee, philly vanilla, and chocolate-peanut-butter. The staff arched an eyebrow when I asked for all that on a single cone, as if I had presented them with a serious and worthy challenge. They coolly assessed my chances of eating it all before it melted in the 90+ degree weather. Then, having ascertained that I was of sound mind and body and knew what I was doing, they advised me on the greater structural soundess of the sugar cone as compared to the waffle cone. Good ice cream with a variety of unique flavors. Don't be fooled by the gas station atmosphere. Debated between a 3 and 4 and ultimately went with a 3 because they were stingy with the portions. Unfortunately, there's not many ice cream places in the area or one that stands out the most but I would certainly return again. I'd like to try other flavors which could perhaps increase my rating! read more

A few things you need to know about Stewarts: -They have some of the most amazing flavors of ice cream here. (Fireworks and campfire are my favorites) -Their single scoop could be confused with another store's version of a triple scoop. It's hugeee. -It's a gas station/convenience store. -Their apple cider donuts taste just like the fresh ones sold on the side of the road. -Their super-friendly workers. The Gunks, Mohonk, Minnewaska, and this whole area is a wonderful destination for rock climbing, hiking, snowshoeing, running, biking, and anything you can think of that would get you outside working up a sweat on a beautiful day. And what goes best with exercise? That's right, undoing all that work with *delicious* ice cream and milkshakes. Stewart's is also a great place to stock up on snacks and libations to bring back to your campsite. It's hard not to go on about the joys of Stewart's in general, since we don't have them in Massachusetts, but this Stewart's also has some fantastic folks working here. They're chill, accomodating, and always ready with a smile and an ice cream sample. It doesn't hurt that they don't mind you hanging about inside when you really need ice cream but *really* don't want to go back to your frozen campsite until you've finished and warmed back up a bit. read more

Stewart's is like a hidden gem if you're not from the area. On the outside, it's simply a gas station; on the inside, you can find some of the best ice-cream and shakes for which you could ever ask. I'm a sucker for their Raspberry Fudge Torte milkshake, extra thick, of course! I believe they are $3-4 per shake, which is cheap for the amount of ice-cream you are getting. Their list of flavors, however, is extensive, so good luck if you're bad at making decisions! Definitely seek out a Stewart's if you're in the area! I love Stewarts!! Last night I was craving an ice cream sundae so I decided to go to Stewarts,obviously because they have delicious ice cream. A girl named Rachel helped me and was awesome! Super fun, helpful, and sweet. She made the best brownie sundae as enthusiastically as a person could! She was also thoughtful enough to put the extra brownie that came with the sundae (that I didn't want all of) in a to-go container, because she figured I would want it later (and I did).. It's always nice to see employees with positive energy who are willing to go above and beyond for the customer! read more
