The only reason we scheduled the visit was to reduce the noise, and Eric recommended replacing the wheels. We agreed and had all of the wheels replaced. However, after the work was completed, we were told that the garage doors would no longer close and that we now needed a new motor at a cost of $700. This is extremely concerning. If the doors were functioning properly before the service, I would like to understand why they are no longer working afterward. It raises serious questions about whether something may have been done incorrectly during the repair. At this point, I have very little confidence in moving forward with your company. I complained to management, but did not get an explanation and a resolution to restore the doors to proper working condition without additional unnecessary charges. After my initial experience, I had another company come out--Electric and Garage Door Repair--to properly diagnose the issue. They found that the only problem was a faulty capacitor, which cost just $10 to fix. The technician was honest and confirmed that the motor was working perfectly fine, and there was no need to replace the springs--contrary to what Besser had recommended for $700. This was a completely different assessment and saved me a significant amount of money. I strongly encourage others to get a second opinion and do their homework before agreeing to costly repairs. Be cautious when dealing with Besser.
