They showed up with a team of 4 at 8am the following morning, ready to work. These folks wasted no time. The truck was packed expertly, our things were handled with care, and they knocked the job out faster and cheaper than the original company had quoted us. Day of move showed up early, thought great, gonna be quick, they had to make 2 trips, broke a dresser, scratched 90% of our things, ripped our brand new couches, brand new safe looks like it was drug down 95, then had the audacity to ask for more money, said they didn't make enough to pay the guys and put gas in the truck, texted and called me several times for more $$$$. I have been in the military 18 years, and moved 8 times in that time frame. When the military moves…read moreyou, a company is contracted on each end... one to pack it up and then one on delivery on to unpack it. Of the companies I have had to deal with (approx 15), Park is the worst. By far the worst. 1st off, only 80% of our stuff made it to the delivery agent (Park). They knew this when they came to start the unpack but did not inform me. So as I am trying to keep up with inventory as they unpack a ton of stuff is missing, obviously. This made for confusion between unpack team and me for obvious reasons. I called to ask why, and was informed they didn't want to tell the laborers so they didn't get lazy w/ inventory and just assume something may be in the missing crate. Shows how much they trust their workers. Employees were late on all 3 occasions they came to the house. On day one, at 730 pm - after 12 hours of unpacking I told them it was time to finish up for the day, that they would have to come back. This is within the right on the property owner and in the agreement they sign.... when I told them to find a spot to pause and pack up team leader became aggressive and rude and tried to bully his way into finishing. They then were unable to come back the following day so we were stuck with an unpacked house until 3 days later. During the move in process quite a lot of damage was done to the house. I got the complete run around trying to get it taken care of, took me 2 weeks of constantly calling to finally get the owner to acknowledge something would have to be done. It then took him 2 weeks to mail me a check for the agreed upon amount. If I had the choice, I wouldn't use Park for anything, ever.

Unfortunately we had no choice in our moving and storage company because this was a military move, and happened quite suddenly so we were in need of long term storage. We paid almost $300 a month to have our goods safely stored for 2 1/2 years. Upon unloading the crates ( I guess I should also mention they were late & messed up our yard with the truck) Several large items were NOT EVEN wrapped. My childs crib and ivory glider chair just came off not wrapped in any sort of protection and was filthy. A bed was demolished. Barstools cracked. A large corner desk trashed. A dresser was placed upstairs covered in mold and broken. One of my huge concerns with our items is there was SO MUCH mold and damage. That alone should be addressed. We have been living out of plastic storage drawers because we have no furniture or reimbursement to replace it. Due to the mold my family has been sicker than usual all winter. ( We were told to keep the items until contacted by the company for them to examine ) Not only that, but while my husband was out to grab lunch one of the movers followed me upstairs. I had my back against a wall unpacking a box in front of me. He said he would help me unpack so we could get rid of some of the paper and boxes. He then picked up a bra I had pulled out of the box and made a comment about it. I laughed it off and then he put both hands on my shoulders and put his mouth on mine. I pushed him away and then I heard a friends voice downstairs. Because the mover heard the strange mans voice too he backed off. Thank goodness that friend randomly stopped by otherwise who knows how far that guy would have tried to go. Because of this incident my husband would no longer let the movers in the house. All goods had to be stored in the garage because he no longer trusted the company inside. The company had to send out a SECOND crew to move the items to where they were supposed to go. After several calls and following the proper channels we have STILL not heard back from anyone. Maybe now the owner will acknowledge and address the situation? Upon arrival she said because of the size, that it would be an additional $50 to move our tv since there was no box (she explained it was so their insurance would cover it. But they broke the tv and after their insurance wouldn't give their money for their fault, we were stuck paying $700 for a move and then having to buy a tv for $600 to replace the one they broke. They asked for photos, said they would pay us in 30 days, and still haven't a month and a half later. We will have to take legal action against them but I wanted to warn everyone not to use them. They overcharge for random fees and are incredibly difficult if something happens.

We loved Thompson Moving until our last move in December 2025. I actually wrote a review earlier,…read morepraising Thompson Moving. I was shocked when we again requested the company to move us a very, very short distance from one place in our rental community to a larger place in the same rental community. From the very first meet my husband and I felt uncomfortable because the man in charge came in with a nasty attitude. Lance spent more time in our restrooms obviously avoiding moving our belongings. While he was in our original apartment, he announced to us that our couch was oversized and he would NOT be able to get it upstairs in our townhouse. Lance had never been in our new townhouse so how he made that determination is still baffling. He claimed that we would need to leave our couch down in the basement. My husband removed the chair rail himself and lo and behold, the couch actually fit. One of his minions, kept telling us that Lance was an expert and knew what he was talking about. Lance was lazy and for every 10 boxes his helpers carried up, Lance brought one. Of course, that was when he wasn't hiding in our bathroom. At one point I couldn't take it anymore and finally told him that I was shocked by the way he kept dropping everything on the floor, unfortunately, so did his helpers with the exception of two of them. I overheard him outside telling his coworkers that he was tired of my "smart mouth". His coworker apologized to my husband and I for Lance's behavior and comment knowing we had obviously heard it. Thankfully, there were two guys that had a work ethic. A few more words about Lance. Lance continuously complained about how cold it was outside, which it was, yet none of his coworkers were whining. One of the guys was struggling with moving our couch at which point it dropped on his foot. That had to be extremely painful, but he continued to carry on. Later, Lance got scratched by a staple in our couch and so overreacted that it was comical. Keep in mind the poor guy that had the couch drop on his foot and then this large grown man practically melting down over what was equivalent to a paper cut. The other thing we noticed was that Jacob had talked about giving us a deal as returning customers, however, Lance actually charged us extra. I recommend that you ask Jacob ahead of time if Lance will be the one sent to you. If so, make sure you have toilet paper in your bathroom because that's where he likes to hide. I actually saw another review prior to our move and realized too late that the reviewer was referring to Lance. Hopefully Jacob has let him go, but unfortunately, the damage has been done and most likely we will not ever use Thompson Moving again.

Background follows: I had some cherished family furniture that I needed to donate. After learning about Habitat for Humanity ReStore, I used their very efficient web site and scheduling system. It was easy to navigate, and it worked perfectly. I received follow-up emails and text messages for the pickup, where the donated furniture was going, and reassurance that the family furniture was going to the right place. Because the furniture was too big for me to move outside, and as Restore can't come into the house, Restore assigned the pick-up to Bulk Brothers. Bulk Brothers acknowledged the assignment, and began their own follow-up text messages, keeping me informed of the vehicle license plate that would do the pickup, driver, and time for pick up. This whole interaction, and follow-on actions by Restore and Bulk Brothers was easy and professional done!
