There was very little room for error and the Mitchell Tree & Stump Service, Inc. did a fantastic job. I've used them several times before and they never let me down. Eugenio Cruz and his team showed up at 9 a.m. and were finished by 2 p.m., with an hour lunch break in between. They not only took down the 4 trees but also pruned another tree in the backyard, grounded up branch debris, hauled off numerous tree logs, and grinded the stumps into sawdust. That makes it more challenging to split the wood. He said he would have expected the cuts to be straight. The second is the length of the pieces. You would expect the tree to be cut in to pieces that are around 20" or a multiple of that because 20" is about the length of firewood. Instead they seem to be about 30". Too short to cut in half and too long to split as is. So my husband is having to cut 10" or so off the end. I went with this company because I wanted to go with someone who had a quality reputation and they are local to my area. I am very disappointed. Would NOT recommend.

We have a tree on our propriety line that the branches where touching our house that we have been TRYING to get taken care of for months. We had 5 - yes I said 5 OTHER tree companies out to give us estimates; another 2 never showed for the estimate. Two of which had true ripping you off prices. We scheduled the work with 3 other companies once in May, July, and September - non of which showed up to do the work. The Estimate. I had stopped the workers coming home from the store and asked if they could give me an estimate. They had me call the office and I talked to Jason who said he would be by in about 45 mins. Shortly after I got off the phone with Jason the workers stopped by to follow up with me on their way to lunch. Jason showed up about 15 mins earlier than he said which is was awesome. Took a look at the work and gave me a great price - Schedule me the same day since they were already int he neighborhood and the crew came back a few hours later. The Crew. These guys were awesome! First, they have some crazy amazing skills at backing the chipper and dump truck into a very tight space. They were quick, thorough, and left the work area cleaner than they found it. Brothers & Sons just completed a landscaping project which included amending an area in the front…read moreof our home which had been covered in small river rock. We met with Jesus, the owner, twice, before work even started and he came by daily to check on the progress of our project. We also met with Elizabeth, a co-owner, as work was progressing. Both Jesus and Elizabeth had wonderful ideas for us to consider. Their company built a brick stairway leading from the side of our driveway and up into the planting area at the front of our house. It is exactly what we had in mind, and looks amazing. We also needed some bricks replace/repaired, and their workmanship was excellent. Lastly, they brought in soil and mulch, and planted a number of plants. All work was completed in a timely manner, and their workers were always on-time, and clearly had pride in their work. We truly enjoy our new front and side area, and will use Brothers & Sons for any future projects.

Elizabeth offered some brilliant suggestions for the design that was effective and would help control the water flow that included a retaining wall with integral drain. The crew was professional and hard-working. Beyond the hardscape, the sodding and seeding exceeded my expectations. I did my due diligence and got proposals from 4 companies, but in my opinion no one else offered the creativity and attention to detail that was evident in B&S's proposal. And their price was very good too. I would gladly hire them again.
