In early October we took bids from 7 different tree service company's. We were having 10 trees trimmed and 4 large ones taken down. When Santos showed up to give me an estimate, we walked the property. He was one of only two of the estimators who actually took notes as to what I wanted done. He even went so far as to mark a few of the trees that I was particular about. We told all of the companies that we weren't making a decision until the weekend. Santos was the only one that called us to see if we had made a decision. On his estimate he showed me his insurance companies name and phone number an told me to call to verify that the insurance was valid, no matter who I chose. He also told me that the earliest he could do the work was Nov. 3rd. which was fine with me. He said they would be to my house by 8:00am. The whole crew was there by 7:30, ready to go. I thought the whole job would take the entire day. Santos and his crew did it all in 5 hours! These guys worked like Marines preparing for battle. They were incredibly efficient and I didn't see anyone pause for a break. My yard is kind of soft and I was worried that the heavy equipment, such as cherry picker trucks would leave rutts in my yard. But Santos said not to worry, the would park the truck on the street and carry out all the wood and rush, either by hand or with a wide tired cart. I am more than impressed with this hard working bunch of guys. If I could give them six stars I would. One last note, his quote was the lowest of all the companies. read more

Santos is the man you want, when there is a tree problem. He came promptly - early actually - with his crew, who quickly assessed what needed to be done (could not get to the dead pine tree in our back yard with a truck) and like an army, his crew went to work...I don't think they were here for more than 45 minutes! They took down the tree, piece by piece - working it around some utility lines and fell the limbs safely away from our old (1933) garage and hauled it all off by hand. Raked up all the scraps and left a clean yard. Fortunately, I had raked up the leaves out front the day before (a wet & yucky mess)...they picked up all that for us, as well as removing an unsightly stump in our front yard, left by the former homeowner. For the record, AAA Tree Service out of Spotsylvania quoted us half what other contractors wanted and did a superb job...you could not do better than these guys. Chelius H. Santos and his crew are truly amazing.... I fully expected this project to last a full day. It included felling two very large oaks, a maple, and a host of cedars which had to be elevated for our driving vision purposes. A great deal of brush clearing was involved. We live in a certified wildlife refuge -- it requires constant tending. Santos & crew did all that, then delivered the usable oak and maple firewood to my friend's wood pile and stacked it neatly in place. They accomplished all this in 5 hours! Santos' pricing is reasonable and honest (about 60% of competitors). His crew works as a well-trained team for maximum efficiency. They are unfailingly polite. Santos and his crew were amazing! They arrived on time and went right to work. Because the yard was wet, Santos said he didn't want to drive his bucket truck on my lawn, so his crew climbed a large oak tree in my front yard and had it down and cleaned up in no time. They also helped load my neighbor's trailer with the cut wood so that he could take it home and use it next season as firewood. He came out next day, gave us the best quote, gave us a date he could do the job next week and he and his team did a job in 6 hours that anyone else would have taken 2-3 days to complete. This crew is totally awesome. Santos set a date and called about a cancellation and did it sooner. It was a very cold, wet, snowy day but that didn't stop them. They did an excellent job cutting down a tree with 2 trunks, grinded the stump, carried the branches off, stacked the word for us and cleaned up. This company is great. I am so pleased with the work that AAA Tree Service did taking down a giant red oak in our front yard, then coming back the next day to trim a river birch that was hanging over the house. Showed up to do the estimate on time and quickly, was able to get work scheduled in a couple days, the crew showed up on time, worked very fast, very friendly. Could have been a little more careful dropping branches, but there wasn't any injuries or damage. I only got the one estimate so I can't compare pricing. 100% recommend this tree service. They removed an. old dead branch from a hickory tree in my yard. The branch had been hang over my fence and near my porch stairs. With each wind storm I would cringe watching the branch in fear it would drop. Today the branch was removed and the clean up was excellent. EXCELLENT SERVICE!!! read more
