If that was a double cut, it certainly didn't look like it. To make matters worse, they damaged my trashcan enclosure and never mentioned it. I was willing to overlook it... until I received an email saying they were coming back to mow again--for $65--without my approval or request. I never agreed to recurring service, and I find it incredibly unprofessional to assume permission like that. I hired them based on the claim of 20+ years of experience, but the results and business practices didn't reflect that at all. I won't be using them again, and I suggest others look elsewhere.

The yard has held up beautifully with zero issues, which speaks to the quality of the work. From the beginning, Scott was a pleasure to work with. He's extremely thorough, very detail‑focused, and clearly committed to doing things the right way. His communication throughout the project was outstanding. The weather didn't cooperate, and we had to shift the schedule a few times, but Scott handled everything professionally and made sure I always knew what was going on. He genuinely does his best to serve every customer, and that effort shows. This is a veteran‑owned business, and Scott brings that level of discipline, pride, and reliability to his work. I've recommended him to neighbors in my community, and they've had great experiences as well. I will absolutely continue supporting this veteran‑owned company and plan to hire Scotts Grass Guys again for future projects.

As of this week, when I had to have my lawn aerated because most of the sod they laid had died, I can say this was the worst sod job I have seen (of 5 that I have done over 40 years). The person who aerated my lawn agreed. Whole pieces of the sod came loose; it never took. Lousy job, lousy sod, and too expensive. And when I told ERL about this they never responded. Buyer beware!

They did not pull the weeds that had grown through the old mulch before putting down the new mulch over the top of it. So a week later all of the same old weeds have grown right back through the thin layer of mulch they put down. They also neglected to edge around the landscape to give it that crisp and sharp edge. I called and asked them to come back and pull the weeds and he was very condescending and disrespectful and said yeah weeds are gonna grow back there is nothing I can do about that except come back and and spray weedkiller on them. Hmmm... Maybe they should have sprayed the weed killer before putting the new mulch in? Or just actually pulled the weeds that were there. I have used various landscaping services through the years and have never been this disappointed. I cannot recommend them to anyone.
