We have a tree in our backyard of our townhome that was out of control--dead branches, overgrown, and hanging onto the neighbor's deck anytime it rained or snowed. I used the Yelp service to send out requests to tree services, and Jason responded promptly. He came out to take a look and provide a quote while I was at work, working with my crazy schedule. His quote was less than half of the next lowest bid. We scheduled the trimming for 2 days later, and he arrived slightly late (but he's also in Culpeper, and had to be in Herndon by 9am. NoVA traffic, amirite?), but got right to work. He and his other crew member were done in about 2 hours, and even took care to clean up what branches fell in the neighbor's yard. Jason, the owner of the company made a great impression during his first visit. His estimate for a tree removal was reasonable and he sounded genuine and organized. A few weeks later, Jason rescheduled a few times because his help didn't show up. I told him that I felt bad for him and that he could just show up once his help was ready. After a few more emails, Jason suddenly stopped communicating from one day to another. This is the definition of ghosting someone. We have a house on the mountain in Front Royal that had several very large dead trees that were in danger of falling onto the house. Jason and his team did an excellent job taking the trees down - - even one with our electric wire running between the double trunks! They cut up the wood and hauled it away - - even saving some beautiful red oak that we are using for woodworking now. I contacted them. They said they were interested in job. I provided them the details and they came out and walked the property. They said that they would send me an estimate. Never got it. Recontacted but received no response. When I put an open bid in on Yelp for a half dozen landscaper services they responded right away forgetting they had already talked to me. Jason and his crew did an excellent job with the trees I needed serviced. I asked them to remove three short (height of my 2-story house) pine trees removed with stumps ground, and two taller trees trimmed of the dead branches. The crew did their work in a timely manner, were on time, cleaned up all debris, and were very respectful - not to mention very affordable. They were able to grind a stump in a tight fitting area using their smaller grinder, a stump that other tree companies said was impossible to be ground. He was prompt, professional and gave me a written estimate which I thought was very fair. Three days later, I attempted to contact him to make arrangements for the work to be done. No answer on his phone, it said he hadn't set up his voicemail yet. Then I sent a message via email, giving more detail and my phone number. That was five days ago, I assume his silence means he doesn't want my business. I find this very bizarre. If you don't want to deal with me, be honest and say so.
