August 2026: I'm not sure what life choices/consequences Sean is experiencing that would cause a…read moresmall business owner to choose a downward spiral, hopefully Sean can find his way back to a fulfilling life. But, if you want to be lied to and then ghosted after paying $200 for deposit, then Sean is your man. I wanted my snow blower serviced before the fall rush. Sean replied quickly to my text and we scheduled a service time with $200 quote and $100 deposit. After a few days, Sean texted again saying he needed $100 to pick up his vehicle to pay AAA/tow. YEP, like a sucker, I bought. That was a week ago. After many texts with no replies, I am the winner of another lesson from yet another person who should not be trusted. Does anyone know of a reasonably affordable snowblower repair service? And perhaps a hero looking to champion another victim of society?

I've brought my DR Mower to Yankes Sales & Service three times to be repaired and every time my…read moreexpectations have been vastly exceeded. The first time I had broken a chain that powers the unit when it is in Reverse mode. Although the part I needed was no longer available, the mechanics fabricated the part in their shop and got me running again at a very reasonable price. I made the second visit when I accidentally ran the machine for several minutes after the oil plug fell out without me knowing it - I fully expected I'd be needing a new $2,000 engine - but they fixed it for $118 and installed a more secure oil plug system. Then the start switch stopped working, which meant I could start the unit but it would not shut down. Thought I'd be looking at a new starting switch for a couple hundred dollars. The took a look at the situation, quickly identified a wire by the motor that had pulled out, and plugged it back in. Problem solved at no cost to me (other than a little embarassment at my lack of mechanical skills). This shop is a 50 mile round trip from my house but is worth every mile of the drive.
