We hosted an end of season banquet for our swim team and their families, about 120 people Food: delicious! Safe options for allergies and plenty of food to go around. Tacos of all kinds, drinks, sides, and all the fixings. Service: day of Brian and helper were professional, kind, clean, and fast! They served fresh to order tacos to our group and no one had to wait in line too long. No photos because we were enjoying the party! I would highlight recommend!

I was able to book my date without issue. I loved that the base menu had variety! The elote was a hit at the party and the inclusion of agua fresca was prime. We hosted at a park and they were so well prepared that set up and serving happened right on time. When they packed up it was like nothing had happened in that spot! I was nervous that we would get fined if oil or something stained the concrete but they had mats. I can't comment enough on how prepared they were! Gus was our guy and he was FANTASTIC! 10/10 recommend his services at your event. The only hiccup was that I didn't realize that the leftovers needed to be placed in containers that we provide. That was my fault though, I had never catered an even and didn't think to ask about that. But it made complete sense and was easily resolved. Once I had the containers, they did the packing of the leftovers. We got to enjoy the delicious food for a day or two more! At the end of the party I even lost my keys and Gus was kind enough to help us search the park for them. He is a stand up guy! This company is not just in it for the money. They genuinely enjoy what they do and it shows in their actions! I highly recommend!

My wife and I attended a friend's birthday party where Chef Ray handled the catering, and the food was truly outstanding. Having spent 22 years in the food service industry myself, I'm not easily impressed--but the presentation, flavors, and overall execution were exceptional. Every item was fantastic. The bruschetta with goat cream cheese was fresh and perfectly balanced. The seared ahi tuna bites were beautifully prepared, and the shrimp spring rolls with ginger peanut sauce were bursting with flavor. Even the flatbread pizza with Caesar salad was spot-on. One great dish after another--we were honestly stuffed by the end of the night. What stood out most was the attention to detail and restaurant-quality presentation, something you rarely see at private catered events. Chef Ray clearly takes pride in his craft, and it shows in every bite. We're already looking forward to the next event he caters at our friend's house--and we'll definitely be using Chef 805 Catering for one of our own parties in the future. -- Anil

When I got there they had their food truck in the parking lot and there was a line there a to enter the restaurant. Of course it was Cinco De Mayo, and everyone wanted their fix! Of course it would be longer than the posted time of our online order, but it took just under an hour for the food to be ready. Normally I would not be happy, but the two ladies working the register and expediting the orders were amazing. They were so accommodating and never seemed stressed and went out of their way to be kind and helpful to every customer. The food was great but the service under the circumstances was what had my experience memorable. I know why this place is so popular and I see great things ahead for them!

Unfortunately, the prices are very high, and recent experiences have made it impossible to justify continuing to order from here. The final straw was the $6 extra meat add-on, which is advertised as 8 oz. We weighed it at home and it came in at 6.5 oz with the container and only 5.6 oz without it. That is a significant difference and, frankly, feels like false advertising, especially at these prices. My husband carefully measures all of the food he eats, so this isn't a guess or a casual estimate, it's a verified shortfall. In addition, we ordered the food and it was ready 15 mins before they said it would be. This would be great if I didn't live 10 minutes away. This sadly led to soggy food. When you're already paying a premium, accuracy and honesty matter. Being shorted on portion sizes while being charged top dollar is unfair and leaves a bad taste, no matter how good the food itself is. Because of the high prices and misleading portion claims, we won't be returning, which is a shame because the food really is good. If the pricing matched the portions, or the portions matched what's advertised, this would be a different review. Sadly, as it stands, we can't recommend it or continue ordering.

Can BBQ in Simi Valley be THAT good? Well, yes BECAUSE we are talking 'bout a good dude (and family) with an open mind and kind heart that brings that to his food. In what ways? Let's give an example - by taking chances with flavor - in the case of the past weekend for ISLAND OF ZEF. Like c'mon Logan be making loco moco AND bahn mi with island vibes and that 'cue smoke! And he's doing it out of a small as* kitchen with just a few staff, churning these orders out for the people. This is home-cooked value. This is local love and support for a business that gives back to its community. So what tips do I got? 1) Burnt ends hit all the time 2) Nanner pudding even better after you freeze it 3) Order early and chill in line - yep it can take a minute but good things come to those who wait 4) This dude SEASONS the food so don't be surprised 5) Themed weekends are a great way to explore outside of your everyday bbq comfort zone 6) Don't be sad if you don't see "Zef" live and in the flesh. I promise you 99 percent of the time he is back there prepping your shi! 7) Follow him on social media and be entertained (Do I have critiques? I mean nothing is ever perfect but you can directly share with him and he responds. And things continue to get better! Once I got to the front of the line he asked me to wait to order (guessing because they seemed like they had a lot of pending orders before me) which was fine. I noticed he was very obviously just killing time walking around aimlessly instead of helping the food preparers catch up which was the 1st little thing I noticed but tried not to think much of. Then when he finally got to taking my order, I only ordered the banana pudding and he asked me "oh just that why didn't you say so" like how am I supposed to know why you're making me wait to order?? I brushed it off and then decided to add on the bacon wrapped chicken "lollipop" thing to snack on for my order. He then asked me if I wanted the pudding now or when the rest of my order was ready. I said I can take it either way and joked about hoping I wouldn't forget the pudding when I came back to pick up my chicken order when he then said it was up to me because it's "not his responsibility" to remember. So it's not your responsibility to keep track of the customer's order before serving? Especially because they note the orders on physical paper tickets for the cooks. I've never heard of such a thing. It's kind of like when u order a drink at a restaurant and they ask if u want it now or with your food like are u not gonna give me what I ordered if I don't remind you? Mind you he's also very perky and talks with a smile so that he doesn't come off aggressive but he's actually passive aggressive and a little rude. Lastly, the banana pudding was just ok. It came in a deli container but tasted more like cheesecake in a tub which tasted good but not like banana pudding. The only banana flavor i got came from the actual pieces of banana which it had very little of and you can tell they were not fresh bananas. The chunks of banana were grey and bitter like they used bananas that were going bad or the premade "pudding" had been stored for a while which for $13 was not worth the price. $9 at best.

If I could pick just one word to describe The Vineyards and our wedding day? Magical. I had…read moretoured many venues in the Ventura County area, but none of them struck me the way The Vineyards did. I had a really good feeling upon pulling up to the venue, as it was clear there was ample parking. Not only that, but the greenery is well maintained and it looks absolutely stunning. It's easy to see from any of the photos, but being there in person just doesn't do it all justice. Every corner of the venue is well thought out and beautiful. The lights and greenery that make up the archways just gave the place an enchanting feel. THE VENUE/PLANNING: I knew I wanted a "garden" feel for my wedding and having attended 2 weddings leading up to my own, those experiences guided some of the more practical criteria I was looking for in a venue: -indoor/outdoor options for weather consideration -More than 2 bathrooms/toilets -Getting ready area for groom (in a lot of venues, there's some kind of bridal suite, but Groom facilities are more hit and miss) -photo op areas (plentiful!) -Large parking lot The Vineyards easily met all of these parameters and more. Aside from the above, I do want to note the HUGE bridal suite area with couches, tables and its own bathroom. I did not have a bridal party, but this can easily accommodate 15+ people. There were also 2 "ceremony" location options to choose from (garden or waterwall), and distinct areas for the cocktail and reception. There are so many little photo op nooks around the grounds that your guests can walk around during cocktail hour and enjoy the vibes. In the planning months leading up to our wedding day, The Vineyards was always very flexible and accommodating. They have a portal system which keeps all the important information in one place, in terms of information that they need, deadlines, correspondence, food choices, etc. Our wedding was in February 2026, definitely with the potential for rain. The venue (and all my vendors) were right there with me tracking the weather to see how it would play out. Luckily, it did not rain (down-poured the next day though!), and we were able to keep the ceremony in the Garden area. They did have options available to move the ceremony inside in case it were to have rained, and they went over a few details in preparation just in case. As other reviews have said, they offer a "Vendor Package" which I highly recommend. There are multiple vendor options within each category, but it is a huge perk that these vendors have the familiarity already, and really know where things are at the venue. I was very happy with all the vendors I chose; I'm sure you can't go wrong with any of them. THE STAFF: We met with Shadi, who first toured us around the venue. She is super sweet and very personable. She gave us a lot of detailed information and answered all the questions we had. We had even asked to tour the venue at night and she absolutely accommodated us, and turned on all the features so we could really get an idea of what it would all look like. Everything there is even more stunning at night, when all the lights are on. Shadi ended up going on maternity leave before our wedding and we were helped by Soroor and Jim, who were also incredibly helpful in all the questions that I had. Soroor was there the day of as well and helped me with my outfit right before the ceremony started. Jim was also there in the morning to help with a few setup items. Deana was our coordinator for the day and she is an absolute ROCKSTAR! We briefly met her during the food tasting, but we really got to see her in action at our rehearsal. I could tell immediately that she is someone that is incredibly organized, detail oriented and absolutely knows what she's doing. She is always thinking of the couple and doesn't make you feel like you're just another number. She was with us every step of the way from the start of the ceremony, making sure we had food and drinks during break times, keeping us on schedule with wherever we needed to be, handling and corralling difficult family with grace, and just generally checking in with us and how we were doing throughout the evening. It can be an overwhelming day, but it really does fly by, and having her there to guide us through it all is a big reason for why our wedding went as well as it did. We couldn't imagine having a different coordinator to keep us comfortable & stable. She made us feel that if anything were to have happened, we would be able to deal with it, no problem. We interacted with some of the wait staff during the Food Tasting as well, and not so much on our actual wedding day, but I received good feedback from our guests that all were attentive, friendly and professional. I genuinely feel that the team at The Vineyards really does care about making your day the best it can possibly be. I know that my wedding would not have turned out as amazing as it did, if I had had it at
