Initially, I called to ask if my insurance and new patients were accepted. I inquired about a…read moredoctor and was told he is on staff but only the RN would actually see me. I said OK and made an appointment. Then the Bastrop office told me that this doctor did not work at the Bastrop location and I would need to select their doctor before I could be seen. I made the change. If you do not opt in for completing your paperwork online, then you are made to stand at a console in the office to complete the forms there. I did so. Although I liked both the RN and the nurse that can be contacted by text, there were problems from the start. I needed a referral for an MRI, which never processed at all (pain mgt had to request it for me instead). I also needed a referral to an orthopedic office and asked for one in network at either Bastrop or Austin. over 1 month later, I discovered during another visit that nothing was done. It seems the main office in Austin handles referrals at their leisure (you can't call to speak to them, no one answers, so don't even bother). A few weeks later....a call from an orthopedic doctor in College Station inquiring about my referral to them. I asked the nurse once again for a doctor in Bastrop or Austin. Meanwhile, today I received a call a few minutes prior to a scheduled wellness visit to reschedule to another day (apparently they had made my appointment without checking if this day fell on Columbus day). I asked again about the referral. This time I was told a referral had been done for a doctor in Giddings, but I had not been contacted about it. On the face of it, this seems like a nice facility, but the overall experience proves to be otherwise.

Looking to establish a new Primary Care provider for my husband, I called and was given an…read moreappointment approx 2 weeks out. They did not ask for insurance info nor did they follow up at any time in those 2 weeks. Showed up for the appointment and they had no record of said appointment. I gave them our insurance info and, even though it's United Health Care, because it is issued from NY state they were completely perplexed on how to process it. After about 10 minutes of back and forth, I was told to register and we could then wait to be seen. Meanwhile my husband, who just had a total knee replacement had gone outside to lean on the car because there were no chairs in the front area - the waiting room is behind the front desk and not visible and no one had bothered to point that out. I filled out the registration info at the lone kiosk in the front room then we went to sit down. After a few minutes I asked how long it would be and they said they had to wait to have insurance approved and there was only one person in their billing office so they had no control over it and absolutely no idea how long it would be. It might be 10 minutes, 40 minutes, a day!! They had no idea. Meanwhile I booked another appointment online at a different primary care doctor's office for literally the next day and we left. What a fiasco and a waste of time. The front office staff was not helpful nor cordial.

David the manager is an absolute hassle to deal with, he wants to be right and does not listen to the patient or their family. He does not hold his team accountable and is horrible at his job! People avoid coming here! save your information and money and go elsewher!

Bastrop Medical Clinic "BMC" gets a F for their customer service. I'll never go back there again and will strongly suggest to my family and friends to find a better place to pay our hard earned money. Dr Batlle is a good doctor but his staff is killing his practice, not worth it. I called and spoke with the front desk to setup and appt. the lady said she couldn't find my records again. I explained I've been in there a few times in the past but couldn't remember the dates. She handed me off to another girl who the first girls said was Rose, but when I asked her for her name she said Lacett. She told me they aren't accepting new patients. I said I wasn't new. I needed an appt. She said because I'm not in the system I'm new. She told me to find someone else and to not call back. I explained I have been in there and had to Drs personal cell number he gave me. She said I don't care who's number you have and if you try to call him I will call him first and tell him not to answer your call. I said what did you just say? She said it again, then hung up on me.
