Ok I love all the Hillstone Group restaurants!! This was my first time eating at The Honor Bar and…read moreit was 5/5!! I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich without the bread, devil eggs, and kale salad!! And OMG it was very good!! Even without the bread it was still on point!! The slaw was very tasty and yummy!! Kale salad with the peanuts was perfect! For my drink it ordered the Turnball Cabernet red wine that was suggested by Dylan and it was very good for my palette. The service was great! Dylan was our sever and he was very nice! And personable and easy going. Our order was not incorrect and it came out fresh and hot. But of course that's nothing new with Hillstone restaurants, they are all phenomenal!!! It's also located next to their sister restaurant South of Beverly. The Honor Wine is right next to it as well. It's dark and gives semi-upscale vibes! It's not that spacious since it's a bar so it's usually a long wait. I recommend coming early or trying to do reservations. This place is good for date night or a drink after work. I will return when I can!! I was not disappointed with my experience or food!! They have street parking and valet for $20! -Marshay D.

Now, the place is super small with weird seating. I like the dark vibe it has going though. The most frustrating part of it all? Servers came off super pretentious and would intentionally walk by your table without looking to avoid you asking them anything. Moreover, the place doesn't let you make many changes to your order. For example, if you ask for easy rice on the sushi, they will say no. If you ask for them to put the avocado on the side due to an allergy of one member of the group, they will say no. Our items came out SUPER slow, and this was after waiting a while for a table. The sushi is subpar - heavy on the rice and not enough fish. However, the coconut shrimp roll was good. That all being said, I'd go back and deal with it all again for the chicken sandwich and the burger. Both were a bit heavy on the bread in comparison to the protein, but delicious nonetheless.

I would give this place 10 Stars if possible!…read more A real hidden gem in Beverly hills and I would highly recommend going here! A very exclusive Brunch menu but everything was a major hit! HUMMUS MASBACHA 10/10 was so smooth! Really flavorful and everyone wanted more of this! This was a vegetarian option which came with some chickpeas and a boiled egg on top. Just a heads up in case you don't eat egg that you should ask to take it off. PITA BREAD - This game with the hummus and it was perfectly warm and toasted and soft on the inside and crispy and the outside and just a mind-blowing pita bread! CHARRED EGGPLANT 9/10 was really soft and had a mild sweet flavor. It was cold which I was a little surprised by, but it went well with the warm Pita that came with the hummus! Only reason I took off a point is because it felt a little oily and it was the only item that didn't get fully wiped off the plate. CAULIFLOWER FLORETS 10/10 So flavorful and I think this might have been the family's favorite on the menu because it just disappeared. BREAKFAST BURRITO with FALAFEL 11/10 My in-laws don't eat meat or egg and wanted a proper vegetarian item for breakfast and we asked to customerize the burrito by replacing the eggs and bacon with falafel. Father in the thought he would not eat any of the burrito but ended up actually finishing his half of it! The restaurant needs to add this as an item on the menu! SHAKSHUKA with MERGUEZ SAUSAGE 10/10 What are really delicious and hearty breakfast item here. Husband and I shared this one and it was really flavorful and a good portion size as well. Good amount of sausage in there that went with the egg and the tomato sauce. JERUSALEM BAGEL - 12/10 This game along with the shakshuka and I think everyone on the table wanted more of it! It was actually warm and so huge and had that perfect crisp outside and a really lovely flavor. Cannot say enough good stuff for this one. SHUK SALAD with CHICKEN BREAST 10/10 Just a simple and healthy salad here but I would highly let the money if you want to balance out some of the heavy items on the menu but still get some vegetables and protein in. We did not use any of the dressing.

We decided to give NUA a second chance after our previous horrible visit. Sadly it was again really…read moredisappointing - but 2 stars this time because we actually were served food but we totally fail to understand to high rated reviews that we see. First off, no one greeted us as we entered. But we learned from last time that we the customer has to take the lead and so we did when a staff member said "hi". We managed to get seated but there was no warmth either literally (on the 74 degree day the overhead fans were blowing way too hard) or figuratively - the staff just don't seem happy. Mrs G ordered falafel (not my thing) and while she said the inner green paste was tasty the outer crust was essentially burnt. She cut the green out and left the burned outer layer on her plate (leaving very little edible material for $15). I took a pic but not posted. Then she had a green salad for $17 plus chicken for an extra $9. The salad was OK and the strawberries were a nice touch. Unfortunately about 1/2 the chicken was overcooked/bordering on burned and not eaten. I had the Schnitzel sandwich ($22). The white bread was overcooked toasted so I chose to eat less than half and chicken was tasty but over cooked IMO but I ate it because there was little chicken, I was hungry and I had to eat something. Add a soda ($5) each, tax and tip (I left only 10% to show that I wasn't pleased and told the waiter) plus $10 for parking ($2 per 15 minutes) and were $100 out of pocket for lunch. We drove home and made some mac and cheese, a big salad and a glass of wine. Will we be back? No thank you. Hopefully you will be more fortunate.

From the beginning, service was inattentive and disorganized. Our waiter did not introduce himself, offer suggestions, or ask if we had dined there before. I ordered a drink upon being seated -- it never arrived. Ten minutes later, we were asked if we were ready to order, still with no beverage. Another ten minutes passed before the waiter realized the drink had never been delivered. The pacing throughout the evening was poor. It took roughly 40 minutes for our food to arrive. For nearly the first hour, we received nothing -- no bread, no appetizers, no entrees. The calamari/shrimp appetizer was good. The lobster pasta was solid. The branzino was slightly overcooked, but acceptable. The larger issue was the atmosphere and how the staff handled closing. Nearly an hour before their 10 PM close, the restaurant began shutting down in a way that felt abrupt and unrefined. House lights were turned on while guests were still dining -- which completely disrupted the ambiance. This was done only in the indoor seating area while they continued seating guests on the back patio. It created an uncomfortable environment where diners were clearly being rushed out despite still eating. The table next to us voiced frustration as well. Gratuity was automatically included (understandable for Valentine's Day), but the level of service did not reflect that standard. If anything, the culture felt snarky and disengaged -- not from management, but from staff who are not in positions of leadership. The patio spaces are attractive, especially the back patio, though wind can cause debris to blow into food. This is not a total loss of a restaurant -- the food has potential and the space is strong. However, hospitality is about culture and intention, not just cuisine. On this visit, that element was noticeably absent. I hope this was an off night rather than a shift in standards.

I got the skirt steak cooked medium rare -- flavor was good, but it was a little tough to cut. I think it would've paired even better with some garlic butter or chimichurri on the side. The mac and cheese was SO good and easily one of the highlights of the meal. Creamy, flavorful, and definitely something I'd order again. The pork chops were delicious and packed with flavor, but the spinach underneath was a bit too bitter for my taste. The mashed potatoes were creamy, soft, and comforting. We also loved the Brussels sprouts and Caesar salad -- both were super solid sides. Drinks were perfect and balanced out the dishes really well. Service and atmosphere were great too. Would definitely come back to try more items on the menu next time we are in the area.

It was bland and portion was just smaller than I expected. There is a location in Pasadena and the pasta was seasoned well and balanced and what I feel the portion was much bigger. I do have to assume it's due to the location of this establishment. The ambiance was pretty slow however the inside decorations were so cute and pleasant on the eyes. I wouldn't come here for the food, perhaps a drink and a small app.

My first time coming to Soom Soom - I'm going to give it a 4 out of 5 stars this time around…read morebecause I was extremely hungry and I ate the food almost too quick to enjoy it fully. I plan to come back again to try it a few more times and update my review accordingly. This place reminds me of a fast food/Chipotle-style eatery, but serves Mediterranean food instead. You order the type on entree you want (Shawarma, kabob, schnitzel, koobideh - pita, plate or wrap style) or a la carte with the sides. Each Pita/Wrap/Plate comes with your choice of rice or couscous, 4 sides, and 2 half pitas. 1. Beef Shawarma Plate (4.5/5) The beef is cooked on the famously known Middle Eastern vertical rotisserie for well-balanced roasting. I can taste a bit of the Middle Eastern spices used in the seasoning of the meat. The beef was sliced very thinly, was not dry, and portions were reasonable. It was delicious to eat on its own, when mixed with couscous, and when used as filling in the pita wrap. Comes with 2 sides of dressing. The white color dressing (not sure what it is) was bitter, which I was not a fan of. However, the spice tahini sauce was very good and very mild in heat. It had a light tartness to it that gave additional flavor to the dish. *Tabouli salad (5/5) This is a traditional Middle Eastern salad consisting of fresh finely chopped parsley, mint, tomatoes, and green onions, with bulgur wheat and mixed with lemon-olive oil dressing. The parsley flavor was robust and the salad overall was fresh and refreshing. *Side of Beets (5/5) - fresh and crunchy. I hate preparing beets on my own at home due to their staining effects, so when I can get it fresh at a restaurant, it's my go-to. It is packed with fiber, micronutrients and nitrates, which helps to lower blood pressure, inflammation and improve athletic endurance by improving blood flow. Beets pair well with hummus and Tabouli salad. *Hummus (5/5) - I personally found their house-made hummus to be quite good. It was creamy, very smooth in texture (no grainy-ness at all), and had a strong chickpea nutty flavor profile. It has the perfect consistency to eat on its own, to mix with your meat and couscous, or to use as a base for your pita wrap. Minus half a star only because staff were not very friendly. They spoke very softly, which required me to ask them several times to repeat, so that was a bit annoying.
