This is a long overdue BBQ review about Jim's Fallbrook Market. Now before we get into it, this is…read morea true 3-Star review... not 5... read on to find out why. You know it's BBQ Season, as their smokers fill the air that makes your mouth just water! There's always a line (a good sign)... and the portions are fair (not great, but not skimpy either). There's always two things when it comes to the barbecue does it smell as good as it tastes does it taste as good as it smells? And in this situation, the taste is not as good as it smells. I've been on this planet for a long time in the last 40 something years have eaten more than my Fair share a barbecue so I can only give you my opinion of a 40 year journey eating all kinds of barbecue from coast to coast. When it comes to their accouchement of sauces, yes they got plenty of hot sauces but no they don't have that many "" sauces or a juice that you can get with what you order. Lastly, all kinds of folks I've met are proud of the meat. They make love to talk about it love to get into the mechanics behind it without of course, giving up their trade secrets you don't get that here. If anything, you can just get people that wanna move the line along and I get it if there's a long line you wanna move folks along, but you can still be friendly about it. During the days that I've been there before the line started it's the same attitude just get your plate. Get your grub and go little to no communication. So if they ever make their chicken, chickens and meats taste as good as it smells, they will definitely get another star out of me, and if their attitude was more friendly and less stuffy, we would finally get that five star review that they should deserve, but due to the things I've encountered more than once it's three stars.

They prepare food fresh on the spot for you in the back corner. Note it is strictly to-go, no dine in options. The gentlemen in the store were incredibly hospitable and went above and beyond to answer our questions about how they prepare their fresh meats on the grill. Many, many thanks for the grilling demo! The marinated meats available all displayed in the case and they pull straight from there, it's fresh and made to order. We decided on a plate of chicken breast and a plate of beef lule (ground beef kabob). After placing our order, we had some time to browse the groceries and imported goods in the store. You'll find a wide variety of Middle Eastern and European goods. We picked out some imported Italian and Russian snacks as well as some lavash bread to eat with hummus at home. At home, we feasted! The meats are marinated and seasoned to perfection, tender and flavorful. The guys even cooked up a few pieces of pork ribs for us to try. And let me say, we may have to get a plate of just those next time!! The plate comes with salad (tomato, cucumber, dill, onion), hummus, lavash and rice. Don't sleep on their garlic sauce, that stuff is potent and HEAVENLY. Portion sizes are large and shareable in my opinion and prices are reasonable for the amount, and more importantly, the quality, of food you're getting. I wish I had some pictures but we inhaled our food before thinking about. Next time!

They have an assortment of raw meats that you get to choose from and they cook it as you order it. That means you'll wait 15-20 minutes but the food here is worth the wait. I ordered the chicken breast plate with a side of garlic sauce. The chicken breast was juicy and tender. The garlic sauce on the side is a MUST. I also asked for some slices of lime/lemon on the side and they were generous enough to put some in my bag. The people working there were warm and welcoming. Would recommend to anyone in the area :) Im removing one star because my portion of chicken breast was a bit small compared to what I'm seeing in the photos from other yelpers.

At the time, I felt that my concern was not fully understood, especially when I was told that other customers were waiting while I was also seeking help as a customer. They just suck. This is the location I pass daily on my commute... I had such a terrible experience there just over a year ago that I stopped coming here... my coworkers suggested Chatsworth (on Mason) & Canoga Park (Roscoe & Topanga) and I really never looked back. Then in a rush & for the sake of convenience I popped in with one of my coworkers recently.... I knew better. I am still so upset by how I was spoken to & spoken about... I'm crying as I type this. How any business owner could put these terrible human beings at the checkout &/or in charge of the checkout just blows my mind. Hot tip to the idiots who work there... just because I look white does NOT mean that I do not understand and speak Spanish Hot tip #2 people have disabled placards for many different reasons, not all of them are visible. This time it was not me in my car with my placard... it was my coworker... an American hero, a veteran who lost his leg (BTK amputee)... who was harassed and insulted. To the franchise owner... From the moment I walked in, the experience was great. The staff was incredibly welcoming, and all of the guys working there made it a point to let me know they were available if I needed help. As a first-time shopper, I never felt judged for asking questions or taking my time looking around. They were also extremely helpful getting my account set up and explaining how everything worked. The selection honestly exceeded my expectations. The quality of the meat is excellent, and the prices are very reasonable overall. A few items felt a little pricey, but not enough to take away from the experience. I've already been back twice since my first visit. I stocked my freezer with bone-in pork chops, lobster, and several other items, and the pork chop quality alone was enough to make me a repeat customer. I also loved seeing seafood options like orange roughy and red snapper--items that aren't always easy to find or are often sold out elsewhere. Knowing I can run over and grab quality proteins without making multiple stops is a huge plus. Beyond the meat and seafood, I was pleasantly surprised by the pantry selection. They carry sauces, seasonings, and other staples, and there were some really good sales happening at the front of the store. Parking was easy, and while most people seemed to get in and out quickly, I happily wandered every aisle because I wanted to see everything. If you're a home cook or a fellow chef looking for quality frozen, vacuum-sealed proteins and a fantastic selection, I definitely recommend checking out Wild Fork. I'll absolutely be back.
