I found Steve on Yelp, my go-to place for any service, restaurant, etc. He answered the phone immediately and gave me a quote which was less than half of the well-known A/C company (think white gloves). He was scheduled to come on a Monday but called about noon Saturday and said he could do it then, that his guys were nearby. They were there in 20 minutes and checked the filter which was very clean so they showed me that there was no need to change it. What they did find was a capacitor which was within a couple days of failing according to their measurements. With our very hot days here on the coast, we have been running the A/C all day, so I considered it a divine blessing that they happened to come before it failed. The entire cost was totally reasonable, and they also cleaned the A/C condenser unit very carefully using the least amount of water possible. Great company - service, dependability, punctuality, professionalism, expertise, price - all the best in my opinion. read more

We're in the middle of a heat wave in North County SD, and I go turn on my AC, but the house is not cooling. I go outside to check the compressor only to find that it's not on. Texted Steve Moore on a Sunday afternoon, and I get a return text the next morning at 7 am, asking if I'll be around at all. Since I was working remotely that Monday, I confirmed that I would be home, and he was at my place within 2 hours. He took less than 5 minutes to diagnose the issue and informed me that the Covid-era motors that were built for these Rheem compressors were breaking prematurely. Since my system was still under the 10-year warranty, Steve called the supplier, went to pick up the part, and came back later in the day to get the motor swapped out. AC works again perfectly. When he first installed the system four years ago, he provided a three-year warranty on service. Since this was the 4th year, I expected to pay a service charge for the work. Not with Steve; he waived it. You can't beat this type of personal and quick service, and truthfully, Steve is just a really nice fellow to deal with. You call other HVAC companies, and in the middle of a heat wave, they'll find ways to gouge you. Not Steve. He's decent, honest, and has my wholehearted recommendation. In fact, I have recommended him to multiple friends and neighbors! read more

Our A/C went out during this last heat wave. Steve was the first call since he has serviced our system for years. Unfortunately he, like everyone else, was completely booked. But he kept checking in and although his crews were busy with other jobs, made the time to come personally and take a look. As always he was very thorough - he checked the attic, the exterior unit, and the breaker box. At 100+ degrees he was sweating through it all, but remained as genial and polite as always. He got us up and running quickly and saved the day. He even called the next morning to check in and see if things were still running as they should. Steve and his company are the best of the best. Highly recommend! read more

They did a great job and were on time . The price quoted was the price I paid and I appreciated the price being everything is included.

Steve was very professional, thorough and easy to work with. His installer, Sam, installed a new furnace for me and was efficient, walked me through the job and explained in detail the warranty, usage and maintenance. Highly recommend read more

We highly recommend Steve Moore Quality Air! They installed a new split ac unit for two bedrooms and it was a GREAT experience. These guys are amazing. They did an awesome job installing my new HVAC heating and air-conditioning. Initially I met with Mark and he thoroughly spent time I needed getting a full explanation and details of the AC pro system and kept me informed every step of the way and told me about all the different options, including this awesome dual gas and electric heating so I can choose whether I want to use Gas or Solar to heat my home. They also put in a new line to my master bedroom, which has been a challenge getting cold air. Mark, Richard and Sam came out to install my unit in a day. They did fabulous work and cleaned up very nicely. The owner Steve was in contact with me prior to installation and after installation. They gave me a great quote and price for my new system. I will definitely use their services again in the future and highly recommend them. read more

Our 47 year old furnace finally stopped working. I contacted several companies for estimates to replace furnace, all registers and the thermostat. I chose Steve Moore Quality Air, not only because their estimate was way lower, but because of their stellar Yelp rating. In less than a week, Sam and Louis arrived right on time. They went right to work removing the old furnace, installing the new one, replacing all of the registers and a new thermostat in about three hours. It was an easy-access garage install which helped, but they did an excellent job. They left everything spic-and-span! Mark, who came out to assess the job and who sent me the estimate, Sam and Louis, who did the install, and Steve Moore, who called me after the install to see if I was satisfied, were all very friendly, professional, courteous, thorough and honest. I highly recommend Steve Moore Quality Air. You will NOT be disappointed! read more

Great technical advice about system selection, very flexible scheduling, and excellent technician! We had our 17-year old heat pump replaced -- work was done in one day, and the cost was very competitive. I highly recommend Steve and his team! read more

Steve Moore helped me with a weekend hot streak A/C problem 5 years ago. This was just after he had relocated to and set up his business here in north county. I was very impressed with his personal service, concern, and willingness to give me a great value. Yesterday, 5 years later, I needed Steve's help again. This time I did not get Steve personally but I got his two techs Sam and Richard. The personal call came in a follow up after the service. What changed? Nothing except the personnel. The same great service from quality people is what I got and what I am sure you will get from Steve Moore Quality Air . read more

Our fan motor died in our HVAC system right as the nights were getting nippy. Steve Moore stayed in contact with me from locating the part (which had been discontinued), updated me when the part was shipped and again, when he received the part. I never once felt like I was a forgotten client. The service techs were on time, friendly and finished the job quickly. I am a VERY satisfied customer. Their number is 760-587-7885 read more

I am so impressed by how well Steve Moore takes care of their customers. Since installing my air conditioner/heating unit last spring, there have been a couple of issues that have arisen, neither of which had anything to do with Steve Moore's work. Each time, they came out the next day and got everything taken care of. They are always very pleasant and professional to work with, and I appreciate the great care and wonderful value they have provided. I can't recommend them highly enough! read more

5 stars for a reason! Everything was excellent from initial call and scheduling through service. Steve's crew fixed up 2 of my mini split AC's (5 year old Fujitsu and a 25 year old Mitsubishi). They were quick, professional and charged a very reasonable rate. A lot of things these days are based on fake AI reviews and profit maximization - it is REALLY refreshing to deal with honest, hard working, competent folks. Highly recommended if you need HVAC service in North County San Diego. read more

Absolutely 5 stars or more performance!!! I'm picky but I'm very lucky to meet this company. Their team work is fantastic. They all are knowledgeable specialists. They worked very neatly, and cleaned up well each day. They've done in 1 and a 1/2 days to replaced heater and installed new AC system in the attic. Now, we enjoy a very confortable temperature in each room! Their boss Steve Moore, he is a great guy whom I can rely and trust. I wish all companies can provide such excellent service like this company. Thank you very much Steve! Mark, Richard, and Nath, you guys are great! read more

With the colder temperatures coming, I turned on my Elderly mother's heater to keep her warm during the winter. Unfortunately, all that came out of the vents was cold air. I went into the garage where the heater was and smelled gas. I immediately turned off the unit and the gas to it. I called many HVAC repair companies. Most were booked and couldn't respond till after Thanksgiving (eight days later). One of the companies said they would show up and didn't. I called Steve's # (on Thursday) and left a message. Steve returned my call within 10 minutes. I related the problem to him, and he said he was very busy with the start of the cold weather but could get to my mother's home on Monday. I told him that my mother was elderly and that I was hoping for an earlier response and was going to call around. Steve told me that he would keep the appointment on the books for Monday, and if I booked with another company to give him a call and let him know. I thanked him for his time and hung up. Needless to say, every company I called was too busy or couldn't make it till after Thanksgiving. Because of the cold nights. I figured my mother would stay with me until her heater was fixed. Later in the day Steve texted and said he had a cancellation on Friday (next day), and he could send his tech's over to look at the issue. He asked again for her address, name, phone# etc. I received a call from Steve the next day saying his techs were at the house and my mom wouldn't let them in. I called my mother, and it turned out I texted him the wrong address (1 number off). He laughed and said no problem, I relayed the correct address, and his guys walked across the street to my mother's home. My mother called me in under 30 minutes to tell me how excellent her service was. She stated that his techs were courteous, professional, competent, clean, and a pleasure to deal with. The faulty part was replaced at a very good price. All in all, I whole heartedly recommend Steve's Business. It's nice to know there is a GREAT company like Steve's, that is a pleasure to deal with in a time of need. Thanks again to Steve and his tech's. I wish them many fruitful years of business. They deserve it! read more

I want to thank Steve Moore Quality Air for coming to our house the same day our AC broke and servicing it with honesty at a fair price. Would highly recommend. read more

Wow! This group is professional, thorough and fair on price as well. I can't recommend them highly enough. I looked around a lot and was quite discouraged when a contractor friend recommended them. I had a split system in half of my house that just didn't work very well at all. I asked Steve and his crew to try and figure out how we might install a regular FAU system in this part of our house. Even though we were space constrained in where we could locate the new unit, he came up with a plan that was really ingenious. The work only took a couple days and now for the first time in 6 years, we now have a heating and A/C system that actually works, and it works really really well. His price was actually surprising to us and I appreciate everything he did for my wife and I. If you need HVAC service, I would call him today. Thanks Steve read more

Steve Moore Quality Air - Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC Near Me - Carlsbad, California

Steve was responsive immediately and available the next day. He was a super nice, down to earth guy and was able to diagnose my old furnace problem right away, had the parts in stock and could fix the problem asap. I heard of him from NextDoor and he matched his high reviews. I would highly recommend him and would call him again if I need him in the future. As an aside, as a woman, most tradesmen I hire don't treat me with the same respect as they would my husband. This was not the case with Steve. Thanks for being awesome Steve!! read more

Our experience with Steve was nothing short of excellent. He is helpful, responsive, educated and kind. Inheriting an old HVAC system, we scheduled a consultation with Steve. One day before the planned visit, the heater broke. He was able to troubleshoot a temporary solution, helped find the part on Amazon and showed my husband how to install the part when it arrived. He also showed me how to use my fireplace and the next day, took an after hours call when the part arrived and we had questions. We decided to install a full new heating and air system with Steve. He provided a good quote and gave plenty of scheduling options. The day of install he had three people which meant the install took less than one full day. The experience from start to finish was easy and flawless. These are big purchases so having a trustworthy vendor is key. Steve Moore is exactly that. read more

We had Steve install a pioneer mini split in our 1959 ranch home today, no ducts and low attic space. Decided on a minisplit. So impressed !! I recommend this company, he even came out to see the electrical work that needed to be done was correct. Then installed with crew and taught me how to use and keep up the equipment. He goes the extra mile, I had other bids incl. Home Depot and he out beat them with not only price but professionalism. Thank you again!!! read more

Called Steve after reading other reviews. My mom's old furnace was working but wanted somebody to look at it just to confirm it was in good working order. Steve was so accommodating in fitting us into his schedule, before I headed back to NY. He and Joe showed up on schedule found a potential problem and told my mom he would be back to fix it as soon as he had the part...boy did he deliver. I can't say enough good things about him..a true professional, fair prices, respectful and honest. I wish I could clone him and use him for every thing that I need fixed. He is the real deal!!! Did I mention that he took the garbage cans out to the curb for my 87 yr old mom?? Thanks Steve! Best call I ever made! read more

We were experiencing some condensation from one of our ac units above our ceiling tiles and we called Steve to come out and look at it. He gave us a accurate diagnosis and told us our options for fixing the problem. He quickly worked on the unit and then ran the unit and waited to see the problem was corrected before leaving our office. He is affordable and provides detailed work with a high level of customer service. We plan on having him service our units from now on. I hired Steve Moore Quality Air to install 2 Gree heat pump systems for my home after being referred to him by a friend. Steve's pricing was fair compared to other quotes I received. His crew showed up on time and cleaned after the day. Steve was very thorough in explaining the installation and operation of the HVAC system. The installation looks clean and well done. Much better than the builder install of my old system which leaked into my ceiling. They installed pans to avoid this in the future. The outside units are a lot quieter than the old system. I am very happy with my purchase and highly recommend Steve Moore Quality Air. read more

We were in a pickle after having someone install a number of split HVAC units on our remodel. After looking up qualified pioneer service companies, we called Steve Moore Quality Air. Simply stated, these guys rocked! The previous gentleman who installed some of our split units had done a very poor job. Steve and Beau replaced our original furnace and installed a new A/C unit today. Unfortunately for me, this is the 3rd HVAC replacement I've had to endure in the last ten years due to multiple relocations. Fortunately for me, they did an excellent job. The installation was very clean and professional. Prior to installation, Steve never tried to up-sell me on a unit or feature that we didn't need. Even when I asked about a more expensive furnace, Steve explained the daily savings wouldn't out-way the additional cost of the upgrade. Steve also presented multiple options and the cost vs benefit of each. Steve and Beau are not only personable but very knowledgeable and answered every question I had. During the installation Steve went from register to register to test each was producing the correct temperatures. He also installed a new Nest thermostat and walked me through the settings and options. Most importantly, Steve and Beau put up with me hovering around like true professionals. They cleaned their work area once they were finished and Steve walked me through each unit to show me what they had done. Once again very professional. I rarely give more than 4 stars and I highly recommend Steve Moore Quality Air. read more
