Where to start the horrible service and billing add-ons? Had my Ram 1500 towed from Carmax on a Carmax warranty to the dealership for diagnosis on why it would not start. It was the radio frequency hub, which is covered by the warranty. The initial reason it went bad by the dealership was because of water leak. No signs of water leak, no smell of mold, no pictures to prove it was the water. Asked the dealership to contanct the warranty company and request for an investigator to come out. Dealship did not request the warrenty but wanted me to pay over $4k to get the hub replaced and fix the leak. In the end, I had to pay for the RF Hub, and then they tried to charge me for towing my truck into the bay, plus and extra charge for them to remove the seat to access the RF Hub. They did the long arm suspension work on my LJ in 2020 and significantly improved its handling. In 2021 I had a different shop install new axle assemblies because the waiting list was out 6 weeks and I did not want to wait. The job was not done well, the thing wandered all over the road and was barely controllable above 40. I took it to Chaos for an opinion, AK, the owner identified several errors in the work done by the other shop. It took a few weeks to get the work corrected but once it was done my LJ was driving like a dream again. My attempt to save a couple of weeks wait time ended up costing 9 weeks. I would have been better off going with Chaos in the first place. I highly recommend them.

So I went over to their shop and they brought out the technician, who said : Oh yeah I think I can fix that. In addition to that , the quote was $410. I took it in, they had it a day and I picked it up looking perfect?Not only did they fix the problem, they washed the car, cleaned the inside and blackened my tires , plus everyone gets a jar of delicious apple butter.Think I'm done?Oh wait... I paid cash and no one had change for a $20. So the boss said just the $400 and skip the $10. What a great place and great people who work there. Well Done!!

I told the woman that answered the phone that I was told to call about scheduling an appointment for that estimate but I live in Hagerstown and didn't really want to drive two hours round trip just for an estimate; I inquired if I could possibly send pictures and such, and she said quickly and firmly that they didn't work with any type of pictures. There was no double checking or anything like it was HER place of business and she was the owner. Ok. That's cool if that's your prerogative. So I responded to the person I was communicating with via yelp and let him know that drive wasn't on the bingo card. He told me to send pictures and such. However, front desk Karen had already left a nasty taste in my mouth and the whip lash I received from the two different communications should get me an insurance check. I gave them the second star because the internet person made an attempt at customer service.

Would not recommend. I brought my car to JRs twice. The first time they completed the body work and…read moremisaligned the sensor which I had to have repaired at the dealer. The second time, while trying to align the sensor they damaged the electronics causing the radio and heads up display to completely short, as well as damage to the lift gate. The shop knew that there was damage to the electronics, asked me to sign the approval for payment from my insurance and then shuffled my car off to the dealer for them to analyze and try and fix the problem. To recap, they broke the electronics and then sent it off somewhere else, collected payment from my insurance and have barely bothered to follow up. I called and waited TWO weeks for a response from them, only to have them say they would be back in touch, which they have not done. My car has been sitting at Malloy for the last month because the dealer can't even figure out how they damaged the car and is unable to repair it. I am being forced into buying a new car because of the damages they caused and have since entirely shirked any responsibility for. Absolutely would not recommend bringing your car here. Their complete ineptitude has caused me to lose business and have to pay out of pocket for a rental. They have absolutely no integrity and are unable to communicate or own up to their own mistakes, never mind making it right with the customer. Unforgivable.

Took my truck for an inspection- it took forever - they were just finishing the car in front of me-…read more90 minutes for an inspection. So expect that - they go over the car with a fine tooth comb. They also scratched my truck pulling into the bay scraping against the column - no mention of that until I saw it. They failed the inspection for a strut they said was leaking - never did a bounce test as there was nothing wrong with the strut- it had some oil due to hard compression in climbing an ice bank in the ice storm a few weeks prior- they could have just wiped it off instead they failed it and then tried to sell me new struts - for 1700.00 the invoice had the struts listed twice so double the cost for the parts plus a generous markup - they said it was a 2 1-2 hour job - when the book says it's typically 45 minutes each strut or 11/2 hours so boosted the labor cost . After getting home I noticed a lug nut was broken - had to return to have them fix that. The staff is nice enough - but I cannot recommend the shop. In my opinion I would go somewhere else for inspections and any repair service - especially if you want a fair price. Ps - the car in front of me was failed for the same reason- I guess it was fail tie rods or struts day. I took my vehicle to a different shop for the reinspection and to check the struts.
