When I first met with Stacey she sat down with me and asked about the different styles I liked and disliked. She pulled out samples of her work for me to look at during our first appointment. We hired Stacey and Steracle Press to do the invites and all the day-of print items for our wedding in March. My husband was pretty concerned when he saw all the flowers, lace and ribbons on my invite inspiration board and gave us the challenge of coming up with something that I was happy with but wasn't off-the-charts feminine. Stacey handled that challenge with ease. She had so many invitation styles and examples to choose from and that made it really easy for us (two not very creative people) to mix and match different elements that we liked from each one and form our own, very special invitation. She was even able to implement a custom laser cut design (that played off some of the other décor that would be at our wedding) into the pocket of the invite as well as the menus at our reception to give them a little added pizazz. When our guests started receiving our invites we got countless texts and emails about how beautiful, elegant and classic they were. Stacey is, without a doubt, one of my favorite people! I utilized her for my wedding save the dates, invitations, and thank you cards. I actually wish I could get married again so that I could work with over and over again. She is extremely creative and does everything from scractch, including the design work, letter pressing, and assembly, etc. She even worked directly with our calligrapher to ensure that everything was perfect. Stacey helped me design a monogram logo and we were able to carry the design throughout our entire wedding, including lighting, menu cards, and more. She came up with several designs and has an amazingly creative and high end eye (without the high end cost). My taste was higher than my wallet allowed, so Stacey helped me to come up with great solutions to give me what I wanted within my budget. Stacey is absolutely amazing and her prices are totally reasonable (less then the crappy stuff you can get from the paper stores)! We used her for invitations, menus, place cards, programs and a custom made ketubah. She does letter press and printing and, as i said, is absolutely amazing. Our invitations were custom made and turned out beautifully. She worked with us through the design and was very easy to work with when we had some last minute changes. We also really couldn't find a ketubah that we liked and wanted to have one custom made that represented our relationship more. Aside from the difficulty in getting hebrew into a usable format, i couldn't have been more pleased with how it turned out. She hand drew (and then turned it into letterpress) the design for us. This review is LONG overdue. Stacey and team were among our favorite wedding vendors. We had met with a few others and are so happy we chose her team. Stacey created the most gorgeous wedding invitation suite for us (invite, map, RSVP card, and reception card). We are still receiving compliments over a year later. She showed us various options that combined our ideas, her artistic talents, and our tastes. As someone who appreciates the smallest detail, I will note that she focuses on every detail from gorgeous belly band options to the beautiful detail on the envelopes to the appearance of each letter of the font to debating shades of pink and green. She guides you through the process and creates something stunning! In the end, she letterpressed a hand drawing of our church, the cultural center, Chicago landmarks, the dome in the cultural center, gorgeous fonts, and some beautiful overlapping design elements. Her attention to detail also flowed through to incredible quality control on every invitation - they were perfect! She also provided us with various alternatives to help us balance cost. Overall, we found her prices reasonable for the quality of letterpress and labor involved. We loved our invitations so much that we asked her to do brunch and rehearsal dinner cards that preserved the invitation style while adding a bit of flair. She incorporated some French and some Polish for us, which added to the style. From there, she did gift bag booklets, menus, programs, table numbers, escort cards, and a series of signs for our bars, bathrooms, and front door. Everything looked incredible and created a beautiful theme. Stacey went ABOVE AND BEYOND.....messengering paper to my office, meeting me in a parking lot for a pickup, letting us come over 3 days before our wedding as she stayed late at the office to help us punch program holes, etc. I literally cannot say enough good things about Stacey and her team in terms of service, quality, artistic talent and responsiveness. She accommodated to my terrible schedule and met with me at 7:30pm which no other vendor has ever done. We looked at a ton of different designs and she helped steer me in the right direction. My experience with Stacey at Steracle Press was absolutely flawless! I had over 200 wedding invitations made and Stacey helped me customize them every step of the way. Everything was printed quickly and without issue. She is a fabulous artist and even drew my mothers house for the map, which was then made into letterpress. The map is a work of art by itself! My invitation is stunning - on thick paper with gold edges - and my RSVP cards are hexagons... totally unique and reflective of our wedding style. The whole set will definitely be framed and kept in our family forever. I especially love that everything is made in-house; it was so cool being able to see the press where they were being made. I would give Stacey 10 stars if available!!! I was unbelievably thankful and amazed to have Stacey by my side through a somewhat crazy wedding planning. My venue changed literally a few days before my invitations were supposed to be printed (not awesome) but I emailed and Stacey responded right away and said she could hold off printing so that I wouldn't have to REprint everything. Fast fwd a couple weeks and then of course I'm in a time crunch. Got a new location, made a new map, etc and she was able to beautifully letterpress invitations and addresses on envelopes in record speed. She helped me design exactly how and what I wanted in my wedding invitation suite. She was thorough and good about double checking before getting started. I cannot even express in words my gratitude or how wonderful my experience was with her. THANK YOU STACEY!!! When I use letterpress in the future, there is no doubt I will return to her.
