They were flexible with their time and repaired some cabinets and draws that were broken. They painted our wood cabinets and our islands, as well as helped us pick a backsplash which matches beautifully with our floors and our countertops. They also installed lighting under and above our cabinets that looks wonderful, as well as some updated kitchen lighting. I would highly recommend LP Painting Carpentry for their services and would not hesitate to use them again for other projects. It was a pleasure working with them. Thank you!!

After speaking with several contractors, we were fortunate enough to find Leo, who gave the roof deck a complete facelift! We initially hired Leo to update the siding of our top deck and replace the door leading to the bottom deck. During our first consultation meeting with him, he had brainstormed many design concepts and ideas we had not even thought of that we ultimately went with - we highly appreciated the creativity and effort to make our image a reality. He was incredibly communicative, and we really felt like we were working as a team. We ended up having him replace the railing of our upper deck and added a privacy wall with a beautiful design. He handcrafted the railing and involved us in every step of the design process. He also replaced rotting wood that was exposed beneath the siding, fixed a broken outlet, and completely replaced a rotting window frame. He also put in place LED light strips beneath the railing to create a sense of ambience we didn't even realize we were looking for! Leo was always very transparent with the timing of each phase of this project as well as any associated costs. Leo went above and beyond and returned twice after our final payment to add some minor touch ups to ensure the deck was as picture-perfect as can be! We have many upcoming projects in our new home and hope to work with Leo on all of them. We have already begun brainstorming together what we can do with our bottom deck. We would recommend Leo a thousand times over and are looking forward to collaborating with him again!

I had a contractor doing work on my home and from moment 1 I had nothing but problems with them…read more Not showing up when they said they would, overcharging me on stock and materials by a few hundred dollars which they obviously pocketed. When I finally had enough and fired this contractor I was left in a scary predicament. Luckily I started calling different contractors and P.J.D. was the 3rd contractor I tried. Pat the owner of P.J.D. assured me he would stop by that very night after he finished for the day on his current job. He showed up around 6:15 looked over my job, pointed out a few things the original contractor did wrong. Pat went through and went over everything I needed done and gave me a price that was cheaper than the my original contractor and that included work he would need to redo due to my original workers mistakes. The price he quoted me was beyond more than fair. We reached an agreement and he told me he could start in 3 days once he finished his current work project. Well 2 days later (1 day earlier than he said he could begin) Pat and his crew were at my house at 7:00 am to begin. They would stay as late as I would allow so I wouldn't anger my neighbors having to listen to all those loud power tools operating at 8:00 at night. He and his entire work crew were all very polite and professional. Cleaning up at the end of each work day. Packing up and putting away all their tools in his work drop box that I allowed to be stored on my property. Pat and his crew ended up finishing all the work 2.5 days quicker than originally quoted. So not only did he show up earlier than originally anticipated but also finished close to 3 days sooner than expected and they not only the work needed to be done but also redid and fixed the original contractors mistakes and he did all of this at a cheaper price than I was given by my 1st contractor. He and his crew did such an amazing job that I ended up hiring him and his crew to do 2 more jobs at my home. I hired them to tear down my old wooden deck in the back of my house and build a new one using all of that trex decking and vinyl railings chic came out beautifully when finished. As a matter of fact Pat took all of the remaining trex decking and all the cutoff scrap pieces and made my wife 2 beautiful new flower boxes about 4 feet long 3 feet high that were placed alongside my new deck. My wife absolutely loved them, and he did this at no cost using all the leftover material and didn't even charge me for the labor. The 2nd job I hired them for was to tear down and build me a new shed. My old was 8×12 but I wanted to enlarge it so they built me a new shed at 8×20 feet with all new shelves and storage shelf below the shed ceiling. There is a double door with ramp at 1 side of the shed for my ride on lawn mowerto get in and out, as well as my push mower and my snowblower for the winter time. There is another double door at the front of the shed with a 2 step staircase. Inside Pat actually put all of my tools away and organized my shed. Separating everything by what they are. Lawn equipment and so on and so forth everything was properly put away using the new shelves, hooks along the back wall for shovels, rakes etc. I just hired him for the third time, this time to replace all of the windows on the front and 2 sides of my house. Both 1st and 2nd floor. Anytime I need any work done in the future P.J.D. Construction will be my 1st phone call. I advise and encourage anyone to consider Pat and his team for any and all work they may need done

Our house was a 1955 ranch-style house with 3 bedrooms, one bath, kitchen, and living/dining room…read morethat we moved into in 1995. We had been looking to add a second bathroom and had originally worked with an architect from NH to do a modest front and rear bump out to give us more room to fit in a second bathroom. This architect had to withdraw from the job and recommended David Kinsella of TBC. David initially made some modest changes to the plan that made sense. After some further discussion, in which my wife and I raised the possibility of a larger scale project to modernize the style of the house, David developed a plan that essentially rebuilt the house except for our previously remodeled kitchen and original foundation. This new plan converted our house into modern design with a more open floor plan, completely new roof line, loft space, re-finished basement (and the second bathroom). David was able to fit this into an only slightly expanded footprint in order to comply with town regulations. Throughout the process, David kept our budget in mind and would typically present different price options for us to choose from to allow us to come up with a reasonable comprise between price with style. In addition TBC worked with the town to make sure our design stayed within our zoning and conservation restrictions. After deciding to go ahead with the project, we interviewed several contractors and decided that TBC brought us the best value for our money and would also allow David to oversee the project as needed. We started the project in June 2011 and completed the project in May 2012. The project did take several months longer than expected, but did stay on budget. The major problem that occurred that delayed the project was that in the summer of 2011, the original subcontracted framers were being sent to other jobs by their boss even though TBC was told they would be coming to our job. Hence, instead of working full time on our job, they were working less than half time. Eventually TBC had to fire them and find a new contractor to step in. At the time we felt that TBC should have replaced them sooner, but perhaps this was difficult due to contractual obligations. (We also found this first group of framers were slobs who did not have much regard for the fact that we were still living in the house.) By the end of summer 2011, the house was not completely framed and roofed and number of rain storms (including hurricane Irene) slowed down progress further. In mid-October we were still living in the part of the house and we agreed at this point that we would move out to allow for a more efficient work flow. From this point construction generally proceeded ahead, except for a few delays do to weather and scheduling conflicts that arose for other subcontractors, no doubt due to the significant delay caused by the no-show framers. In the end the house is beautiful and works for us better than we could have imagined. While the house has not expanded much in terms of square feet, the open floor plan and high ceiling/roof line combined with increased natural lighting gives a much more expansive feeling inside. From the curb, the house has modern angular green metal roof with cedar siding and one has to look hard to find any resemblance to the original house. At the completion of of the project, TBC was very responsive to completing punch-list items and other minor issues that have arisen over the past year. While my wife and I certainly had stressful times during the renovation (and certainly did a lot of second guessing our decision to renovate rather than move), we always felt that David had a personal interest in getting the job done correctly and making sure that we were happy in the end. In that regard, David was very accessible by email or phone before, during, and after the work. In summary, David Kinsella provided the creativity to design a renovation plan that was truly transforming for our house and TBC was then able to see the plan through to successful completion.
