It's so much more than just the basic medical tests. It's the "How are you feeling?" And focus on overall health and wellness without judgment that keeps me coming backs. I've never had any of the aesthetic treatments and I love that she doesn't push anything, but it's nice to have the option and when I'm ready for those treatments, I'll definitely go to Dr Twu.

So I was ridden with anxiety with my 2nd pregnancy. Dr. Benton Chun referred me to Dr. Beair after a successful frozen embryo transfer at IVF Hawaii, promising me that I would be in the Best hands. He was right. If you know anything about the seasoned Dr. Chun, you know he doesn't say this about just anyone. At the initial visit, it was clear she had studied my chart and already knew my history. I recall apologizing to her that I was a complicated case and she said, "Don't worry, TOGETHER we will make sure you and baby are healthy". From that visit on, she meticulously took care of me. Unlike other doctors I've worked with, she took the time to know me. I didn't feel like just a number in the office or feel like she was rushing in and out of the room. Her assessments were thorough and she found things early in my 2nd trimester so we were able to adjust/add medications, diet, and activity level. It was also around that time that I had a pregnancy scare and I had a small breakdown during a follow-up visit. I was able to see her compassionate side and feel empathy from her as she comforted me. Dr. Beair stayed true to what she said at the first visit. Together, we were able to better prepare for a healthy baby and delivery. With her expertise and knowledge, she guided me on this journey. She was able to prevent certain things from happening again and for the things that couldn't be prevented due to my health history, she had a clear plan on how to minimize the problems to make sure my baby and I were ultimately safe. She found a vein immediately on my right arm and drew the one tube. Ta dah! That was the fastest no wait, fast draw ever. Now we will see hubs surgeon. He's in surgery right now but should be here shortly. Hopefully he will be able to change the dressing and check that the sling is on properly. Even though I watched the instruction video it kept slipping and coming apart. This sling has 3 main parts and a few miscellaneous straps plus a red ball and a little pouch too. I added three more straps with Velcro at each end that I removed from the ice pack bags we brought home from MIS where surgery was performed.

But I write this review with the intention of protecting anyone in the future from having to go through an experience similar to mine. Without putting my medical history out for public review by everyone in Yelp, I will just say that my concerns were dismissed in the most callous and cruel manor. As I sat in shame, embarrassment, anxiety, and tears she became defensive and critical which then caused me to cry even harder, at which she suggested I "get on meds for that." To say she has a lack in bedside manor as a clinician is a gross understatement. I feel she may lack any empathy or compassion at all. I cannot imagine facing a pregnancy or any health issue with a physician who lacks basic kindness and manors. I wouldn't buy a latte from someone like that, much less go to for such critical and intimate medical care. The Aiea location also appears to be messy, disorganized, and cluttered which is unsettling in and of itself. It was my first visit to see her, and it will be my last.

Is a terrible or miserable person in general. Has an employee turnaround like no other! When I had seen my new and better GYN she took the time to listen to me, go over my GYN and OB history. No judgement and treated me like a doctor with class and good bedside manner should! In all my years of seeing a GYNs I have never been so appalled by Dr. Chens horrible and classless behavior!!
