Her staff is also very welcoming and thorough with checking with patients. I appreciate that Nurse Nora was very kind and even remembered us from the appt prior and made a comment to see how I was holding up. She also did the same to other patients. You don't see that a lot. We met under emergency circumstances. I had called Dr.Jans office to see if they could see me right away because I was pregnant and bleeding heavily and informed them of a possible miscarriage. They were able to get me in right away. My other half and I were in absolute tears we knew our situation wasn't ideal. Dr. Jan's knowledge and ease and helping us get through this situation made me feel so at ease. Although I had to do an emergency D n C procedure I appreciated her professionalism and grace in how she was able to handle and control the situation. I was very nervous and through out the whole process she talked me through everything before she did it and most of all remained calm. I honestly feel like that day she saved me life. Her words of wisdom that day as well as on our follow up after really helped our grieving process. It gave us hope. Although my pregnancy ended in a miscarriage. I would like to say that I'm grateful I was able to be in such great hands. If your deciding or debating. Don't. I trust this doc with my life and hope to get on her wait list.

The result of me transferring care to another physician was cancellation of all of my other appointments including my mid pregnancy ultrasound. At the time of me transferring care I didn't think this was a big deal because I have HMSA PPO. When I showed up to the Fetal Diagnostic Center today I was notified that my appointment was canceled by Annette in Dr. Chang's office. Annette made that effort to call and cancel my ultrasound but did not have the courtesy to contact me to let me know that they would do this. That horrible feeling of being helpless in this type of situation is heart wrenching and confusing as to how their office could be so spiteful just because of my transfer of care. I feel that if you are going out of your way to call other offices to inform them of my transfer of care why was it that I am not on that call list too? A decent person would at least contact the patient and let them know what you're doing. Not do everything behind their back. When I contacted Dr. Chang's office and asked why didn't you notify me? they had no care and compassion and said "because you transferred care. I am still waiting on a call back from Annette to explain why she did what she did just so that future patients don't have this problem.

You can SEE his JOY in helping families!! It's so rare to find a gem like him in the medical field... and I'm grateful every single day for him and for his heart for women desiring to become mothers. I truly thank God for this man. Dr. Kosasa is, by far, one of the most brilliant and compassionate doctors out there. We are blessed to have him here in Hawai'i, contributing to our community by helping women and families expand our village through conceiving and carrying new life. There are so many women and couples out there who lose so much time (and hope) trying [often, unsuccessfully] to conceive on their own. After six months of trying for my 2nd baby with my husband, I got so disheartened and frustrated and was encouraged (by my mom, no less) to seek Dr. Kosasa's help. He had helped her conceive in 1995 with my brother and he helped her maintain an *EXTREMELY* high risk pregnancy with me in 1985. I met with him in early 2020 for help to conceive my 2nd child. He evaluated me, diagnosed and treated my main issue affecting my egg quality, production and release (thanks a lot, PCOS!). In less than a month of his treatment, I had a healthy, beautiful egg! Dr. Kosasa administered an HCG shot to provoke ovulation and instructed us to "try" for the next three days. We successfully conceived and over the next 6 months, he checked on me every single week and gave me progesterone shots to maintain the pregnancy. I gave birth to a beautiful, healthy baby girl! In early 2022, I sought Dr. Kosasa's care to maintain my natural pregnancy with my 3rd baby. It was, yet another high risk pregnancy with sporadic vaginal bleeding, polyhydramnios and on top of that- at 14 weeks along, I had an emergency surgery to remove my appendix- a laparoscopic appendectomy. Dr. Kosasa cared for me and my baby so well that come that September, baby girl #3 was born safely. In December of 2023, we had a miscarriage and realized that we really did want to try for another child afterward. This was our third miscarriage to date. I wanted Dr. Kosasa to be a part of every step to address any issues and perhaps to repeat the same treatment we had with baby #2. We discovered in the ultrasounds in baby #3 that I had polyps in my uterus, which, per Dr. Kosasa, was most likely the culprit for the irregular bleeding and miscarriages. We scheduled to remove them via polypectomy (outpatient procedure) and within one month, we naturally (and unexpectedly) conceived our 4th baby. This was the first pregnancy with no bleeding, no complications, no issues whatsoever. I did have polyhydramnios again, but no one can prevent that. I gave birth to my 4th baby, safely and naturally in November of 2024. Dr. Kosasa has enriched my life and the lives of my family in such a tangible way that we get to see and love and care for every single day in our four babies. His care and expertise kept my life safe, helped my brother be conceived and born, helped three of my children be safe in the womb... I didn't think the new prescription was as effective. Probably the most thorough and quantity paperwork to fill out before doctor steps into the examining room. Dr. Seitz makes sure and goes over your forms, notes past surgeries and confirms your past and present medical status. That was followed by an internal exam. Then a plan for treatment, options available . I decided on the most conservative one first: a special pt for pelvic floor vs more meds, Botox or surgery. I was very happy to meet Dr. Seitz. Future visits can be TelMed but I told her I preferred in person which she said was fine.

They remember my daughter's name and ask how she is doing each time I have an appointment. With the new renovations to the POB 1 parking garage they no longer validate tickets. However, with the one hour grace period for garage parking, I no longer have to pay! woot woot! I simply take a ticket, park, and then scan my ticket when leaving. Dr. Hew's office is located on the 8th floor of the POB building. Since COVID I've only waited in the waiting room by myself. Hand sanitizer is located both outside the office door and at the check-in desk. Due to COVID-19 social distancing there can only be four people per elevator, and one of the elevators is currently down for repairs. So plan to arrive early or take the stairs! Dr. Hew explains everything so well, answers all my questions. If seeing her for a pregnancy I highly recommend scheduling appointments pretty far out so you can get the times/dates you want-I always tried to go first thing in the morning.

She doesn't take any appointments on the weekends, but it's okay because I really love how caring Dr. Hew is!
