Dr. Richard Oh is a great doctor -- he's been my doctor for almost six years and delivered both of my babies. The only issue is his secretary, the Korean lady. She's very rude and doesn't seem to know what she's doing. I'm four months postpartum and breastfeeding my baby, and when I was dealing with mastitis, she told me it wasn't part of Dr. Oh's specialty -- but my PCP told me otherwise. She also lacks customer service skills and is very rude over the phone. I hope Dr. Richard Oh can read this and take action regarding his secretary. I've been going to Doctor Oh for almost five years and his location in the Queens West Hospital is heaven sent for me living on the West side of Oahu. He's located on the third floor of the first building out of the parking lot. There's a sufficient amount of parking in the lot of this hospital and a security checkpoint in the front of the drive in to enter the hospital. He's a small Asian guy who's straight to the point. He doesn't really say anything besides what needs to be said and addresses all questions and concerns. The renovation of the hospital was much needed and his place looks much more cuter now. The nurses are always friendly and informative on the phone and always make sure to give me a reminder ring for my appointments. A ton of my friends come here too, which is random seeing people you know at your vagina doctor lmao but whatever. Five stars cuz all in all service is up to par. read more

What a fantastic & caring OB/GYN!! Even though Dr. Oh's office is by Queen's in Ewa Beach, he has rights at Kapiolani Women & Children hospital, which is a fantastic facility with special care available should your family needs it. TIP: If the mom is a civilian spouse of a military member, you could get out of "Crippler" by "downgrading" your Tri-Care status from Prime to Standard, then you could use a Dr. of your choice as long as s/he accepts Tri-care. The copays are insignificant. Our delivery at Kapiolani was normal 3-day stay, billed for $16.5K to mom & $3.5K to baby... and our total copay was $50. This is totally an upgrade! Also, Tri-Care will pay for a set of double electric breast pump & accessories; make sure your OB/GYN will write a prescription that will require/recommend those items by functionality & not by brand. Hmmmmm what do I say about Dr. Richard Oh besides the fact that his employees are like totally AWESOME! Check this out! I go in, sign in and within minutes, Belinda. She calls my name. My name, no one else but ME. She does my stats and she's very patient, listens to all my babbling only because I'm nervous and then shows me THE ROOM! I have to say THE ROOM because it has stirrups yes, if you haven't figured out by now, yes he's my OBGYN. She tells me what I have to do (ahem - undress and wear cloth) I did and now I'm sitting there just waiting for the doc. He comes in and asks how I'm doing. Goes over my chart and sees what needs to be done, how often it should be done and why it has to be done yes Belinda, you're getting old he examines me, gives me a quick briefing of what we did and why and what I need to do yes Belinda, to do!! We laugh awhile and then he says "see you next year" That's actually awesome because then I know, that everything is fine ok but it is. As I am about to leave, I get to the receptionist and I'm about to pay for my Dr visit and guess what! I don't have my wallet! Ohhhhh M Geeeeee, how embarrassing should I ‍‍‍now? Ok I didn't but she just smiled and said not to worry Belinda it's fine, we can just send you the bill whew! Now I must say errand #1 for the day is done next! read more

Dr. Oh has delivered 3 of my 4 children. He's awesome! Even if you're not expecting but need to have that very uncomfortable lady appointment, he does it so quick it's like you never knew what happened. The ladies have changed in the office over the years. But they're nice. The only person who has never actually spoke to me is Dr. Oh's wife but she always seems so busy in the office. The only thing is the wait can be really long even if you have an appointment. I would make sure you have at least 2 or 3 hours to spare. You'll usually wait about 20-30 minutes at first, get called in to check your weight and BP and then sent back out into the waiting room to wait some more. I will continue to see Dr Oh for my lady part needs. read more

Love Dr. Oh! He's delivered 2 of my children. One was a complicated delivery, but he seemed to address the issue with ease. He always takes time to answer any questions. He is very thorough and professional during each visit. He doesn't beat around the bush and gets straight to the point, which I like. Parking is no problem. The office staff are always friendly and respectful. Took off a star because a couple times a waited for an hour to be seen and I prefer a reclinable chair for checkups rather than a table. I've been going to Dr. Oh for 25 years on and off. Yup he's been around that long. He is the best obgyn I've had. He hasn't delivered my two children but they do go to him as well. Love the staff they are awesome too. I do have one gripe but that doesn't lower his 5 's There is this one lady who is rude af and seems money hungry. Dr Oh is my current obgyn. he was actually the doctor that delivered me from my mom and he's the same doctor that delivered my son from me. i was recommended to him by my mom. i had all of my physical exams, annual exams and prenatal check ups here since 2009. he is the best! i highly recommend him! he's understanding, always listens to what you have to say and is mindful of your decisions and requests. awesome doctor. the front desk girls are friendly, nice and makes me feel comfortable. i will always talk highly about this place because i've received nothing but good service here. love this place! dr oh is great! read more

I LOVE Dr. Oh! He's been my baby doctor 2 times now and every experience was awesome. I've never felt rush, he's always answered my questions and concerns. He cares a lot for you & your unborn baby. I've never felt forced to do anything and never felt like he threatened or used scare tactics. He's blunt about those things and that's what I like. One visit, the receptionist didn't call me to cancel my appointment because he was delivering a baby (they've only missed me once), so I rescheduled for later that day. As I was leaving Dr. Oh walks pass & says "good morning". I look up and say "oh you're here already! I had an appt ...." he told me to come in & he'll take care of me asap. He didn't even get to settle, got in his office changed his clothes washed up & took me in. I referred my friend to him & she couldn't be more happier to have switched from her OB. I've only experienced long waits 3x, but even with that it's nothing compared to the 4hr wait at my regular PCP. I wish he delivered my 2nd baby (I delivered the day he went on vacation lol). He was so calm & patient with my 1st delivery. My 2nd delivery doc looked nervous so I really missed him. All in all, my personal experience with him has been nothing but amazing! Dr. Oh is beyond amazing. Dr. Oh has been my OBGYN for about 11 years and I can tell you, I am a walking advertisement when it comes to OB recommndation. Mannerism: Dr. Oh is extremely knowledgeable and kind. He provides a service that exudes comfort. In addition, he is thorough in all he does. Personal Birth Experience: I established care with Dr. Oh when I found out I was pregnant with my son (first child). Being that I wasn't aware I was pregnant, establishment was during my 5th month. When I was 7 months pregnant, I started getting symptoms of preeclampsia. Long story short, I gave birth to a 28-weeker who is extremely healthy today (he is now 9 years old). Dr. Oh recently helped me with my twins, who are now 23 months old. Final thought: Amazing doctor with a kind heart. read more

This was my first pregnancy and the experience honestly pretty negative. The only good thing about my experience at Dr.Oh's office is his staff. They were incredibly sweet and very easy to work with. I went in for my 8 week appointment and when Dr.Oh was doing the ultrasound we ran into a problem and the way he delivered it was not the best. He straight up tells me that the baby didnt have a heartbeat and told me to see the doctor next door and basically rushed me out of his office. I went to the doctor next door where they confirmed that it was a miscarriage. I had to go back to Dr.Oh after seeing the other doctor and the first thing he says was "so, did they tell you?"........ isnt HE supposed to be the one to tell me the news?? During this difficult time, it seemed like he was in a rush to see his other patients, so he didnt really take good care of me. Will be seeing another doctor for my next pregnancy. read more

They are really nice and easygoing with nice clean office but somehow doctor never called me back for the result or telemedicine. I was waiting for whole day and I never got a call. The next day the office was closed. Then when I called to ask about next telemedicine appointment, the staff was really aggressive and rude over the phone. I got really disappointed about this experience because I enjoyed and loved Dr Ohs office. Dr Oh was very kind and sincere. However I don't think I will be back to this office again at all. I truly understand that nowadays everyone is having a hard time due to pandemic but it is not an excuse to treat others especially patients who are sick rudely and unkindly. Dr. Oh is the best! And so is his staff. The two ladies that always work there are seriously the nicest people I've ever met. She always makes sure I'm seen when I need to and always fits me in last minute if I feel like I really need to talk to Dr. Oh. The doctor takes every little thing you are worried about seriously. This is my first pregnancy and he has truly been there for me. I call all the time about little things and see him at least twice a week. They're so accommodating. PLUS my regular doctor is literally one door away. The office is so clean and feels like a friendly warm environment, like home! Please do NOT go to this OB. He had a horrible bedside manner. Where do I start? He does not listen to your concerns. To him you are a robot with a baby inside. He changed my due date because my baby was "measuring big" at 15 weeks. That is entirely too late to change a due date. Normally it wouldn't be a big deal, but I knew exactly when my conception date was. Both of my other children have come after 43 weeks. I told him at 15 weeks when he pushed my due date up he was going to force me to have this baby at home by myself because I will not be induced. He shrugged me off with a " Don't worry that's still a long way away." Low and behold 40 weeks came and went (really 39). He gave me the talk about me killing my baby by going "over" my due date. I'm sure this scare tactic works with some, but not with me. So he starts throwing out hypotheticals like "What if your fluid is low?" Then I tell him I will just drink more water as the fluid replaces itself every 24 hours, and he's a doctor he should already know that. Of course he knew he was just trying to scare me. I agreed to go get non stress tests to check baby and make sure he was okay. I agreed to that. I want to make sure my baby is okay too, so I made the twice weekly appointments (along with one at his office every week). With every visit they kept telling me how great my baby was doing, and how my fluid was fine. At week 41 (really 40) he was actually civil to me for the first time. He had run out of scare tactics and threats. Maybe he was just having a good day. At my 42 (really 41) week non-stress test they measured my baby measuring 12lbs. This gave him another reason to start the "your baby is too big you need to be induced" scare tactics to begin. I'm tall, and so is my husband. I'm not some 4'11 girl. I can handle a big baby. Still didn't scare me. His office kept scheduling me appointments without asking me. I suppose I'm supposed to have completely open availability at all time. Despite having other children I managed to get child care at a moments notice to make my three weekly appointments. The final week his office changed my appointment time to get a non-stress test at the same time as my appointment at his office. I called his office to see which appointment I should make. They told me the NST. Then Dr Oh calls my husband and starts yelling at him about how I'm "Blowing off my appointments." Excuse me? I've been jumping through hoops, and Y'ALL changed my appointment time to where I couldn't make it. I even tried to get a different time that same day, but there was nothing available. Needless to say I had my baby at home. He was a beautiful and healthy 11lb baby boy. I called today to get my blood work information sent to my primary care doctor, and they have the nerve to tell I'm released as a patient. Thanks but I already released myself. Also during my time as his patient I tried to get a health wavier so I get my teeth cleaned. It's just a technicality. I've had my teeth cleaned with both of my other pregnancies as not doing it is actually worse for your pregnancy. His office refused to send the paperwork allowing me to get my teeth cleaned. At least my dentist was cool enough to do it without it. He would always tell me if you're bleeding...blah blah blah or have symptoms of a UTI call my office immediately. I have had kidney infections before and was experiencing symptoms of one so I called his office. His office staff are seriously great! That's the one good thing I can say about him. However, I had the chance (cough) pleasure of getting his wife on the phone when I called. Apparently she comes to the office from time to time. She told me that I shouldn't call for that and should go to another doctor. After arguing on the phone repeatedly she finally told me I could come in. She's a horrible example of a human being and I don't say that lightly. Sure he's a horrible Dr, but she's a horrible mean person. I was literally in tears over the way she was talking to me. I knew it was his wife without even having to ask. There's no way anyone could keep a job (even at his office) being so hateful. By the time I got into the office Dr Oh sent me for testing and acted as if I did the right thing by coming in. So why is his wife treated me like an idiot? I honestly don't know why I kept going back. I'm a firm believer in second chances, and third... Save yourself the heartache and avoid this Dr at all costs! read more

I love Dr. Oh but damn they need to do less scheduling each day. Cause everyone waits usually 45 min to an hr. It's like they schedule 3 people every half an hr. Which is crazy. Especially if you in your first trimester and feeling sick and you gotta wait an hr to have a 5 min check up. read more

Dr. Oh is a great doctor who really takes the time to talk things over with you and make sure you're informed, and his staff is very polite and helpful. My only issue is that I had about 4 appointments cancelled one after another because he had to attend a delivery. I totally understand the situation and see how a delivery takes priority over a regular appointment but it would be nice if there was another doctor or a PA there who could see patients as well. I would suggest asking for a morning appointment if you are coming here. read more

He delivered all of my 3 beautiful babies and during my stay in the hospital he always drops by to visit. He's one of the reason why I have a good & wonderful birth experience. Dr. Oh has been my OB/GYN for seven years. He delivered both of my children and has kept me in great physical health. He has taken great care of all of us throughout the years. He's the only obstetrician I recommend to any of my friends and family. Dr. Oh discovered the root of my problems when my previous obstetrician could not. I've been seeing Dr. Oh for years now and I have to say he is one awesome Ob gyn. He delivered my 2nd child and soon will deliver my third. My 2nd child was 5 days past his due date so Dr Oh sent me to the hospital to get induced. Dr Oh was always there at the hospital to check on me while I waited to give birth. If he wasn't able to he would have a nurse come to check on me. When it was finally time for me to give birth, Dr Oh was there to deliver. I had a complication and baby's heart rate was dropping. I remember the look on the nurses faces like they were all panicking but Dr Oh was so calm and was able to bring baby out with no problems. I would totally recommend him!!! read more

I've been seeing Dr Oh for my regular pregnancy visits. I am now 27 weeks and he's been an ok OBGYN. Like others mentioned, he does get straight to the point, doesn't cut any corners and says everything like how it is. I can see how his patients can get somewhat scared or paranoid after some of his remarks. He always asks .. "any bleeding?" Then I'm thinking I would've probably called you if I was.. Hello!!? And he asked today.. if baby doesn't move more than 6 hours please see us immediately .. By then baby can be dead already. Things like this could make a first time mother scared, but being that this is my 3rd child and I've been through this already I just brush him off. I think I know my body enough if something was wrong I would know. Overall, he is an ok doctor, he just needs to be careful about how he says things, he can surely frighten a new patient away! read more

Do not go here unless you have lots of time. Always have to wait for a long time in a small waiting room area or outside of the office because so many patients booked at same time or every 10 minutes or something like that. The doctor doesn't really listen to your concern since he only have so little time to spend with you. I don't recommend unless you go here for a just a simple check-up. read more
