So happy I decided to make the move from Straub Kapolei to Straub Mililani. Why?…read more Closer to my home New facility Lots of close parking Friendly staff beginning from first time check in to Melody to Dr.Liu. I made the appointment 6 months ago while the new building was coming up. My former doctor was nice, listened well, easy on the eyes and I was pleased. Dr. Liu is on a whole different top tier: He is young but very knowledgeable. He went over my past medical history, bloodwork and urine results from last year, my current meds with recommendations. He acknowledged my present concerns with treatments, future considerations and got to know me as a person not just a patient by his questions. He actually used a stethoscope and felt my stomach plus the knots in my shoulders from my persistent neck issues. My former doctor never did this in all my years going to him. Am I overjoyed I have a new, awesome doctor who has my health in good hands? You betcha! Even the lady who scheduled my next appointment was so friendly and told me how to get my lab work done when I return in 6 months. Color me happy! Plus as I was leaving I heard a friendly voice say my name. It was Yelp Elite Scot U. volunteering. Best first visit ever!!!

Brand Spanking New for 2026 (although their website states it opened in the fall of 2025). I went…read moreand got my annual mammogram, and after my visit, I got a long-stemmed rose and pink arm sleeves w/ thumb holes, great for those power walks in the sun and gardening (I sound like an old lady...no wait, I AM! hahaha) What I like: - free parking. None of that paid stuff. - shopping is convenient, get a shot, then go to Wal-mart and get some booze. - it is SO new the bathroom still hasn't been trashed yet - lots of people at the front desk that acknowledge you immediately - you can check in online on your phone too. I checked in with a real person and had to wait, but as soon as I hit "check in" on MyChart, they came to get me immediately. - cool hip architecture with large large windows, although I am pretty sure the birds will hate colliding with them and dying of broken necks. - nice changing area with lockers, a comfy robe to wear while you wait for your breasts to be smashed between plastic, metal and glass. yay. What I didn't care for: - giant windows frying me with the sun, despite the tinted windows. The seats were all in the path of the dreaded sunlight. The receptionist was nice enough to ask a group of us if she needed to lower the blinds and I was going to say "yes" but one man quipped up and said, "no it's fine, WE LIKE THE SUNLIGHT". Speak for yourself mister. I retreated to some seats further away from the sun and heat. - parking lot was super full, but I don't mind walking, so I parked a bit aways and walked. At least it's (still) free, not like Queen's Punchbowl. Neutral: - it was so nice it made me suspicious, like how did they get so much money to make such a fancy place? Was it by overcharging patients? Medicare reimbursements? Maybe it was the benefactor, Benioff, which I see a lot more nowdays attached to the "Straub" name. In the old days, it was just "Straub". I looked it up and was blown away at what I thought a Benioff would look like, a stuffy, regal doctor in a white coat with a stethoscope. Instead I see a humble, tall and slightly scruffy man in wrinkly oversized Aloha shirt, loose fitting jeans and white tennis shoes. His wife managed to look more polished, but hey, he is the quintessential billionaire next door. You'd never know. Look him up, fascinating stuff.

She even opened and organized my items, reviewed the instructions with me, and printed detailed information for every single medication I take. That was the most helpful information I've ever received from anyone at a pharmacy. I truly love Kaiser for the excellent care I receive. I genuinely feel that the doctors and medical professionals care deeply about the people they take care of, and they are incredibly knowledgeable. I also appreciate the modern approach to healthcare here. After I left the office, Cindy personally called me to recommend that I speak with my doctor about the treatment plan so I wouldn't experience too many side effects. That call showed me how much she truly cares, and that makes all the difference. Plus my favorite little farmer's market is located at their entrance! Great produce, great people!

Or catch a ride and drop off in porte cochere. Pharmacy on left the minute you walk in. Eyeglass shop on the right. Elevators just past this eyeglass area. Bathrooms next to elevators. Check-in across from elevators and ladies are very patient and nice, giving directions what floor, what letter to look for, where elevators located, where lab is and must check in there for blood test. Shot Clinic upstairs so took elevator and it's under Letter D. Good signage. Waited one minute in wait area and called in to sit, get my vaccinations quickly and then out. Nurse was very efficient and pleasant. You must make an appointment for flu and Covid vax as this location does not do walk-ins. Pensacola used to but not sure if they still do. Lab was packed so they ask you to take a number to be called to their window to check in. I decided not to do it this time since I figured it would be at least 30 min based on amount of people in their waiting room. It was a Tuesday around 10:00 am. As I was departing, they had tables set up on lanai of front entrance selling coffee, snacks and a short line was forming. All in all it was a very good first experience at this location and I'll return for blood work.

Seeing firsthand how well they cared for their patient while I was there during the admission completely changed my perspective. The staff was attentive and professional, and it truly restored my trust and confidence in their level of care. This time I was there as a visitor instead of a patient, and I also discovered a small Starbucks corner in the waiting area past the vending machines (which unfortunately weren't working). It was such a nice surprise. They had great options, I grabbed a turkey pesto sandwich, a Smartwater, and a nutter butter and it definitely helped hold me over during the ER wait. Little comforts like that really make a difference when you're spending hours there.

TMI, but haven't had a proper BM in 10 DAYS! Crazy, I know. So I called in to make an appointment and they were able to fit me in the next day. I've only had experience with closed systems, they have an open system here. Elizabeth was so generous and patient with answering all of my questions, I feel like I asked at least a dozen before we got started. The price was amazing, too! $75 for one ~45min session is such a steal (they were generous with the time for me, so thankful). Dr.George even came in and gave me an abdominal massage that I requested and taught me a little bit about colon anatomy which was very cool. The experience was VERY EFFECTIVE! Lots of surprises came out. If you're familiar with giving yourself an enema at home, it's a similar experience, except way more thorough. It's definitely more hands on as you're the one inserting the thing up in there and you get to control the water flow and even the temperature. There's a little buzzer if you need help and they check on you every once and a while. The space where the colonic happens is clean and cool. Instead of the white walls shown on their website, they were instead covered in a beautiful hand painted mural of nature scenery. There's also some anatomy posters on the door to look at if you get bored. Overall I had a great experience, by the end of the session I was in a way better mood, physically lighter, more flexible, my back pain and body aches were gone and I feel like I can eat again since the pipes are clean. They end the session off by sending you away with a couple probiotics to take to help reculture everything which I thought was super nice, too. I was joking with my friend that if my colon could sing it would be singing right now. Creepy or cute? I dunno. LOL. I'll be coming back for sure~ SALAMAT!
