Not that going to the dentist is ever a comfortable experience, but Day Hill Dental comes close…read more The positives: 1) The facility is very nice, with (what I think is) top notch equipment. When I'm at a doctor's office, I want to know that they buy the most up-to-date equipment, and that they know how to use it. 2) The staff is very friendly. We can all admit that being at a dentist's office doesn't exactly put us in a great mood. The staff at Day Hill Dental understands that, and is very kind without being overbearing (i.e. without the fake smiles and cheeriness). 3) The care is excellent. My hygientist and dentist (Dr. Farber) quickly did the cleaning and exam, and thoroughly explained what was good and what wasn't so good. They also explained things in a non-judgmental way. I've been to far too many dentist offices where you feel like you're the kid who forgot his homework assignment. Not so here - they want you to take care of your teeth, but don't make you feel like you're a naughty kid being lectured. If you live in the area, I would highly recommend Day Hill Dental.

Having never been much of a fan of dentistry (this sort of thing happens when you've had 11 teeth…read moreremoved over various points in youth via the wonders of Novocaine and yanking), I am generally impressed with the work of Dr. Bloom and his dental hygienists. They take Delta Dental (always good for those of us with Delta Dental), and the hygienists know what they are doing, pointing out various issues with teeth and identifying cavities and problem areas. Dr. Bloom himself also has an excellent bedside manner (or is it chair-side?). He also gives helpful recommendations in the case one can't get back into his office in time (he was able to direct me to the UNC Dentristy school to get some cavities done). Also, they have that cool white cavity filler stuff that's always good fun :)

First time coming here to get my widsom tooth taken out! ( had to take 4 out) I went in for a…read moreconsultation and an x-ray before I had my surgery. Everything was straightforward and made me feel very comfortable. The staff was amazing and friendly and I would definitely come back again if I have problems with my teeth in the future. I got my wisdom tooth taken out on October 18 yesterday and everything went out perfectly fine. I wasn't bloated and it almost look like I didn't get my teeth taken out because everything was done the right way. Dr. Maguire was my surgeon and he was terrific. I am scared when it comes to needles but he made it painless and quick! I got prescribed pain meds right away and now I can move and talk just fine! Best dental place to get your wisdom tooth taken out, I would recommend to anyone. Only problem is they are a little pricey but they do a good job

Right from day one I knew we were in good hands with all the staff. They were kind and helpful. I have never felt pressured making a decision when given a recommended treatment plan. Their work is spot on and I have never had a problem with any of the completed work. I would highly recommend Day Hill Dental to anyone looking for a dentist.

Pretty easy to find through my insurance company I was able to schedule a dental exam pretty easily…read morewith hours early on the weekends and late during the week which is great for those that are working business hours. The hygienist was polite educating me on good oral hygiene. The dentist also took concern toward something on my tongue, took photos and wanted to monitor it, which is more that what I can say about my last dentist. That extra attention to detail is appreciated. I also had a night guard molded through the same provider. Again pretty easy to get an exam early in the morning and the follow up was pretty quick as well. Again from the notes from the last dentist, they followed up with monitoring my tongue which I appreciated again. All in all was pretty satisfied with the service I received. I will say two things, didn't get my flossing with my cleaning but then again I guess I have to do that myself and did hear one of the receptionist speaking on the phone very rudely to a provider or a customer or something. But very unprofessional especially in front of the waiting room. Hey I guess it's not me so I'll keep my head down but had to mention it.

wish they had - five stars because that's what New England dental center deserves. After initial…read morevisit consultation and x-rays they talked me into getting their insurance which would take care of future cleanings and dental work which they said they would. I went in for a cleaning for my second visit and that went okay. Then I received a text from them that they could not take on any more new patients. Unbelievable after I paid for the insurance on the work that was supposed to be done. You would think they would have the courtesy to reimburse me on a partial payment for my insurance but the crickets are still chirping. I went to Day Hill dental up the street and they took me in within 2 days versus waiting over a month. Then scheduled me in 4 days later to get crown work done. Unlike New England dental who just took my money and ran. Do not go to them. If you're in Windsor go to Day Hill dental. Now they're professionals unlike the scam artists at New England dental. Do not go there. Go to Day Hill dental. They are awesome... Karma is a you know what so good luck New England dental because you will need it lowlifes

AVOID this business! I wish there was an option to give zero!…read more I was looking for a periodontist who accepts my insurance. I called multiple offices in the area, many said they don't accept my insurance and a couple, including CT Periodontal and Implants Associates said they would accept. Someone from their office called and reviewed my out of pocket cost for the surgery and said I have to pay almost $200 out of pocket. When I went there, the doctor did a comprehensive gum exam (which was not what I was referred for) and they gave me papers to sign. They explained the values written here are before insurance and my insurance covers everything except $200. Just a few days before surgery, somebody called from their office and told me your insurance does not cover this operation which was a big lie!!! I asked whether I can cancel my appointment and the lady told me I have to pay a fine, as it is too close to the surgery date. She also told me they would give me a 200 discount if I pay it by check and not credit card (which again was a trick!!) I trusted them that my insurance does not cover this operation, and I accepted and paid $1000 with check. After the surgery, I got a new bill to pay $160 for a comprehensive exam, which was not what I had asked and was there for. They also billed me $200 more (actually there was no discount for paying with check!!!) The interesting part is that I called my insurance and realized that my insurance covers 80% of this operation and they are out of network!!! They literally lied to me, not just once but also many times!! Now they are sending me letters that they are reporting to credit. I have already paid $1000 for a procedure that would cost me $200 with insurance and they are still reporting my credit. Don't go to their offices!!
