I appreciated not feeling rushed, he took his time and listened while we discussing options. He also puts you at ease with his friendly laid back personality, we shared laughs in a somewhat sad situation. It was a nice break from my concern for mikas health. She has had problems walk for a few months and it's gotten really bad, she only gets up to potty. I was honest with him and the receptionist about my budget before and during the appointment. I almost didn't take her in because it's not the best time financially, but he wasn't concerned by this at all, he said just bring her in and we will figure it out. He made sure she got the best course of treatment while also being considerate of my financial situation. I hate going to vets normally, every single place I called before this place - In the surrounding areas - ended up being a horrible interaction on the phone. Leaving the appointment I felt content, like I was leaving a family get together and I had a great time while I was there lol. He reminded me several times to call him with an update on her, I'm confident that he will have Mika back to her energetic, beautiful self soon! To the person who had an appointment after me - you can't always control the way you feel, but you can control how you react - treat people better! They told you, just like they told me and everyone they speak to that they are a mask optional facility. You made your choice to schedule an appointment knowing that and sat in the waiting area for a while were no one else wore one... then you flipping out, lectured the doctor and storming out.. it was uncalled for. You've now wasted an appointment time someone needed.

She became highly indignant, saying she did nothing wrong (though they had refunded my money the previous visit_ when I kept asking her to see the logic that my Lab was 100% well when I brought him in, and after I picked him up he needed hundreds of dollars of treatment--not to mention his PAIN. This all began a couple months ago: a couple days after PP bathed my Lab he developed a crusty spot on his NECK and my vet said to let him know if it got bigger and to use a little vitamin E oil. After PP bathed him again 5 weeks later, I got home to see something waxy was on his back hair. Tiffany suggested it could be that maybe it was soap/he wasn't rinsed properly, that it had the feel and appearance of a lotion though they don't use lotions, then they voluntarily refunded my money. I trusted them though I couldn't get the product off of his back, and five weeks later brought him in for another bath. When I picked him up that time, the bather said she cleaned what looked to be a lot of flee poop off of his BACK. My lab is 12, is on prescription flea preventatives (plus it's winter), he rarely goes outside and his arthritis prevents him from rolling on his back, and STILL most of this waxy stuff remained even after another bath--they said they couldn't clean all of it off and that it might be normal aging--I had to ask how it could be that he suddenly aged between 9AM and 2PM when I picked him up. Three days after that bath, the small crusty spot blew up in the fold of his neck and I rushed him back to the vet. There was no hair loss and the vet confirmed It wasn't a hot spot after he shaved the area. After scrapes and staph testing and blood tests and even sending a blood sample out for a full thyroid test, there was nothing left to do other than hope steroids and a topical antibiotic would heal the area half the size of my palm. The vet confirmed that the problem could only have developed from an irritant there in the fold of his skin. They had refunded my money the previous visit because they said that they just hadn't rinsed him well, now bather denied it had anything to do with them and blamed it on something/anything else that I was responsible for. She kept interrupting me and became irate when I kept asking her to let me speak and ask her to see the logic. SHE felt persecuted! Now I was indignant and rose my voice to match hers--that's when she hung up on me. It was incredulous that she now acted like she was the victim.

I'm happy to report that they are!!!! I have a very busy travel schedule and it is really hard for me to find the time to drop my dog off for an entire day at the groomers. Steven was in & out in an hour & my Westie looks great! I would recommend them to anyone! Both the service & price are excellent (paid about what I would have paid at my regular groomers).

I called around and no one could do it this week until I called Bark Avenue. Jay was really nice and said he would work around my schedule. He was to arrive at 10a to start the salon services. He was running late but sent me a text to let me know and arrived at 10:30a. He and his mother (his partner was ill) took care of the 3 dogs and they were not nervous or skeptical. That says a lot because these 3 have been through so much and their confidence level is way below the radar. He cleaned everything up, vacuumed and left the place clean. I was able to use the Yelp deal so it only cost me $120 for the 3 dogs, and that included de-shedding for 2 of them (where others wanted to charge up to an additional $25). I would definitely have Jay back to take care of my dog and any other fosters I may have. Thanks, Jay and Mom!
