I've been worried for months that when I do decide to let him go, I'd be met with questions. Concerned I might be guilted into doing more to keep him alive. When I brought him in today the staff did everything they could to make the process as painless as they could for my dog and my family. Thank you guys for taking care of my dog and my family. Thank you for trusting my judgement that it was time to peacefully help my best friend across the rainbow bridge.

Not only did they allow me to come in right before closing, but they took amazing care of my dog, Banana, who has a terrible vet fear! Risinger Veterinary Hospital was gentle with Banana and very educational on what costs would be upfront before agreeing to service, so that I would not be jump scared with the bill! Every question I had was answered, our check in and appointment was both fast and thorough, and I am now proud to say they are our new vet home! If you're looking for an affordable vet who takes pride in their work I recommend them for sure!

We informed them it was spelled wrong and they 'corrected' it as BISKIT... 2) We brought a sample in containing a worm and asked them to look at it. They called back and informed us that the sample tested negative. We were confused and asked for clarification on what exactly was tested? They said they didn't find anything. We reiterated that we brought in a sample containing a worm so how would there not be anything found when a worm was in the sample? They said they would go check again, and called back and said 'yepp there's a worm and 3 parasites'... 3) Called and they were confused because there were two dogs with the same first name and last name but spelled differently. We informed them that yes, that was your staff that incorrectly spelled her name TWICE so they ended up making two separate accounts which lead to confusion on their end anytime we called... 3) Fast forward about 6 months later, we received email reminders for her checkup. We called to make an appt and was told there was no record for a Biscuit in their system.... so how are we receiving emails? We have been there 4 times how are there no records? Receptionist got extremely rude and kept asking 'are you sure this is the right vet?' after we informed her for the 3rd time this was the correct vet, we have been there multiple times, and you are the one sending us emails. We told her either name it could be under and she continued to tell us there was no record but that someone with our dog's name did have the same last name, but a different first name... the spouses name was also the same name we had given them...the same phone numbers and the same emails....but you couldn't 'find it' and had 'no record?'.... 4) Told them we are done with this vet and their incompetence, and asked them to send over her records which we still have yet to receive.

Buckle up...this is a long one, but people deserve to know our experience…read more Last night, we had an emergency with my daughter's show steer. He was very sick, so I called for emergency vet services. I spoke with the answering service, and she assured me the on call vet would call back within a few minutes. Twenty five minutes passed with no return call. I called back, and the answering service seemed shocked that no one had contacted me. I waited another 15 minutes...still nothing. I called a third time, and she said, "He's taking my messages, but I'm not sure why he isn't calling you back." Finally, the vet called. He told me he was sick in bed and unable to help, which I completely understand. But then the conversation took a turn. He said, "Y'all don't use our clinic anymore, correct? You said you would never come back after the last time." He was referring to an incident we had previously with their front office staff. Months ago, we took in a feral cat to be neutered after being quoted $65 over the phone. We specifically told the staff he already had his rabies shot and only needed to be neutered. When my husband picked him up, the bill was $185. He asked for an itemized breakdown and was told they would only provide it AFTER payment was made. Turns out they had fully vaccinated the cat and treated a wound on his face without ever contacting us for approval. Had they called first, I would not have had a problem with the additional care or charges. The issue was that they made those decisions without authorization. My husband was understandably upset and handled it poorly in the moment, but he later apologized. I also called the clinic afterward and explained that my frustration was never about paying for treatment...it was about authorizing additional services beforehand. Eventually, the clinic refunded the full amount at the doctor's instruction, even though I specifically told them I did NOT want a refund. Back to last night... The vet told me that because we had supposedly said we would never return, they no longer treated us. He then informed me that pneumonia is rampant in cattle right now and that my steer needed to be seen immediately that night. But instead of referring us to another veterinarian within the practice or helping us locate emergency care, he simply said there was "no one else" and told us to drive three hours to Texas A&M. Then the call ended with: "Good luck." To be clear...he absolutely has the right to refuse service. It's his business, and that's his choice. But we're talking about a child's show steer that represents a huge investment of time, money, and hard work. At that moment, I wasn't calling about a past disagreement. I was trying to save an animal. I would think that, as a veterinarian, helping an animal in distress would come before personal feelings or past conflicts. Thankfully, we made the drive to Wills Point Vet, and they were absolutely fantastic. They treated us with kindness, urgency, and compassion. Our steer does have pneumonia, and we are praying he pulls through. At the end of the day, this boils down to human decency and compassion. I simply want others to know our experience so they can make informed decisions about who they trust with their animals.

They recently moved to a beautiful new facility, and their service has only gotten better, if that's even possible (It was pretty darn amazing before the move). It's incredibly easy to get appointments, and you never feel rushed. When it was time to put our older dog to rest, Dr. J.M. Stalling provided such compassionate care, truly treating our pet like a valued, very-loved family member - as she was to us. He explained every detail, gave us options, and allowed us all the time we needed to say goodbye before, during & after the process. All of the vets here treat your pets with the same importance as human patients. Their follow-through is stellar, with doctors personally calling after hours to check on test results and health issues. I will never go anywhere else as long as I have pets & live within 30 minutes of the location! P.S. I was compelled to leave a review because I am surprised by some of the negative comments posted here. I have only ever witnessed the staff being kind and respectful to clients/patients & co-workers. Also, it's unfortunate, but it seems some people dealing with the stress of a pet who is ill or the heartbreak of a pet loss may be misdirecting their emotions towards the practice.

He only weighed 30 lbs to begin with. We took him to the Emergency Vet and found out his organs were shutting down to diabetes. You told us he's fine and come back the next day and you'd start him on meds. He died the next day. Took a third dog to you with concerns about a growth on his hip. You looked at it and told us it's nothing to worry about. Didn't even bother to run any tests. Took him to another vet and turns out it's skin cancer. Needless to say, we won't take any more pets to you for care. Seems like you don't investigate concerns thoroughly enough and just tell your animal parents what they want to hear. In all three cases, treatment would've either prolonged their life or would've reduced their suffering. It's unacceptable.

I felt a little dismissed in some convos but I brushed it off because they were easy to get into, and did answer most of my questions. My husband and I moved and had a final appointment with them for shots and all the yearly things then a few months later we noticed our pup had really bad breath and her feet were itching very bad so we found a highly rated vet in our new area...turns out our sweet baby had a gum disease that had been developing over YEARS (I took her yearly if not 6 months to get check ups) and a skin disease as well. they felt bad for us so they did all the tests to confirm for free and only charged us for the visit. she has had to get 21 teeth extracted as a result and luckily her skin disease is cleared up from their treatments! i'm so disappointed in CACC, they always check her teeth and gums and have said they were fine in the past (even 2 months before we went to this new place), same with her skin, they just always gave an allergy shot. they are a good vet if your pet is sick, but as far as preventative and other treatments I would suggest going somewhere else.
