Everyone has their own style, so I can explore different classes and find the ones that work best for me. I am working remotely with their trainer Jeff. With a relatively small investment I have all of the equipment I need to transform my family room into a workout space each morning. I work out through face time with 3 other women, each of whom are in much better shape than I am. Jeff tailors a program for each of us, so that we are doing similar exercises at the same time fitting each of our needs. He has been particularly good at helping me find ways to continue to work out despite some knee issues. He is amazingly responsive. What I'm enjoying most is the balance in the workouts between strength training and cardio. By the end of every workout I really feel a sense of accomplishment and have worked up a good sweat. I feel that great feeling of having worked hard and accomplished something, but I don't feel so exhausted the rest of the day that my day is shot. I feel revved up rather than beaten down. If your looking for a way to workout from your home, I would give FIT a call. I find the cost reasonable. You don't need your own home gym just some weights, an adjustable weight kettle ball and a mat will get you started. I highly recommend.

When it comes to fitness, the ideal way is to begin training slow and then gradually increase in intensity. In Xcel tribe the intensity is all time high irrespective of your level of fitness. You will be out of breath and left with sore muscles. But you may still underplay the body signals as there is just so much energy around in class. End result? You may be harming yourself in long run. So if you plan to join, be sure to listen to your body and not overdo things. There sure are pros (like good coaches and overall energetic vibe), but I realized this isn't something I am looking for. This is some of the most DISGUSTING behavior I've ever seen from a Head Coach at a fitness studio…read more I could overlook inconsistency in coaching or gaps in knowledge (I was repeatedly told things by coaches that were objectively incorrect, and several coaches didn't seem to fully understand the flow of their own classes). But what I cannot overlook is behavior rooted in humiliation and disrespect and discovering that the Head Coach apparently thinks being "FEMALE" is some kind of insult. That kind of behavior is completely unacceptable in an environment that claims to promote self-improvement and confidence. This is exactly the kind of culture that discourages people from showing up, trying something new, and bettering themselves. I will no longer support businesses that market themselves around empowerment while allowing people to be publicly torn down to protect someone else's ego. I requested a refund and also reached out to the franchise owners, Emily and Ryan, for an explanation regarding this behavior. Unfortunately, it appears that questions and concerns from members are being ignored. Some members have also been removed/blocked on Instagram. They are very nice people personally, which makes this even more disappointing, because at this point, allowing and protecting the behavior sends a message of its own. That tells me everything I need to know about the values this franchise is willing to stand behind, and that's deeply unfortunate.

During my consultation we went over my goals and over the first couple of sessions after assessing my fitness levels he came up with tailored training and nutrition plans to help me meet said goals. On several occasions he's taught me the correct technique to do a particular movement so I can target the muscle group more effectively and avoid any potential injury. He makes sure that I challenge myself during every session and pushes me to my body's limit. Most importantly Paul makes the sessions a lot of fun. He holds me accountable, motivates me to push myself, and is very open to hearing any feedback. I enjoy our conversations between sets and that makes each session go by fast! Overall, I've noticed an increase in my strength and energy levels since I've started training with Paul and I'm very happy with the progress.
