I ultimately was seeing a "western medicine" doctor and Tao to Wellness at the same time. But the timing of my pain shutting off is strongly suggestive that acupuncture played a big part in shortening the duration (which my "western medicine" pain specialist had suggested would be possible). We won't be returning. It was expensive and it was ineffective.
