The office is neat, clean, and well organized. It is easy to book appointments. I also appreciate the fact that Felek Acupuncture accepts Kaiser, with a referral from one's primary care physician. With the app, you are able to book, reschedule and cancel appointments, as well as pay for sessions. I appreciate the attentiveness and time taken to evaluate me prior to each session's start to ensure that my most important issues are addressed and attended to. I came to Felek Acupuncture to get a massage from therapist Leyla. The massage was amazing and left me feeling better for days. Leyla was super attentive and intuitive. She found the perfect balance of checking in with me about pressure and my needs while also giving me space to relax. Her knowledge of the human body seemed very extensive- she sensed all the places my body has been aching from carrying around my toddler for two years, and where I needed special care because of my poor posture and 6-foot frame. Sapphyre Miria is a truly gifted acupuncturist. I came in feeling exhausted and ungrounded and my jaw was in spasm. In addition to the beautiful, healing atmosphere, and Ozben's skilled acupuncture, I have been seeing an orthopedic massage therapist named Charles Strange for some time now. When I hurt my back the other week and was nearly paralyzed, he skipped the bells and whistles of the generic massage approach and went right to the root of the pain -- the strained relationship between the bones, muscles, ligaments, and tendons. He used a series of precise muscle stretches and targeted pressure points to loosen up the tense muscle region. I was back in the dojo the next day with merely an after-workout soreness. I have been seeing Dr Ozben for a little over a year now and I cannot say enough great things about her and the other staff at Felek Acupuncture! I originally started seeing her to help with some infertility issues; at my initial appointment she made me felt heard and validated my issues. She asked many questions to get a jump start on treating me, and my journey started from there! I've seen her weekly for over a year and over that time she has addressed many other issues from my infertility to my bad neck/back to other things I never knew were an issue until she addressed them and help me. I am so happy to say that Dr Felek has since helped me get and stay pregnant and to bring a healthy baby into our family! Last summer I was diagnosed with ptsd and my therapist recommended that I incorporate acupuncture into my treatment plan. I had never tried acupuncture before and I wasn't sure what to expect, or if it would even help the severity of my problems. I was having severe panic attacks, constantly. I wasn't sleeping, and when I did, I had horrible nightmares. It was to the point that I had to wear a mouthguard to bed so I wouldn't crack my teeth because I was so tense in my sleep. I was in bad shape, to say the least. Upon meeting Ozben, I instantly felt at ease. She has an incredibly warm and nurturing demeanor. She listened to what I had to say, asked appropriate questions, and showed true kindness and empathy. After just two sessions, my panic attacks were gone. After about a month, or so, my nightmares stopped. I really couldn't believe it. I have seen her almost once a week for the last nine months (or so??) and it has completely changed my life. She is very knowledgeable in her work and helped me with many other ailments, such as allergies, colds, muscle aches, etc. I am so thankful for finding her. Ozben has changed my LIFE! I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease and nothing was helping my symptoms until I was treated with Ozben. I had a severe reaction to a vaccine due to my Lyme which caused brain inflammation and nothing the doctors were doing could decrease it or get my migraine to subside. I saw Ozben once a week at first, and now once every other week and my migraine would dissipate after leaving my visit each time when no medicine could. She helps me manage my ocular migraines, night sweats, vertigo, vision issues, insomnia, heart palpations/heart racing, etc. all due to my Lyme and co-infections. I have seen Ozben six or so times as part of treatment for a persistent back problem that no one has known how to treat. Ozben has been modest in her approach to the condition, feeling her way using various, gentle techniques that I don't pretend to understand. However, every single time she has treated me there has been a moment at which I felt tensions releasing, channels opening, and pain either disappearing or noticeably diminishing, Want it less mystically? OK: every time I've left her I've felt way better. Ozben uses a few different accupressure echniques, but the one she uses on me is very gentle, involving very light touch. I saw Ozben for a Tui Na massage to ease some reoccurring pain in my knee after knee replacement surgery. The surgeon had said it would take several more months to be pain free.
