I've been going to Stephanie Dental for a couple years but they must have gotten new management and started scamming their loyal clientele. I went here in December for a cleaning and never got the cleaning due to them saying I needed a deep cleaning. I left the office after they said I couldn't get a price with insurance until after February. Unknowingly to me, the office billed by insurance for a cleaning that never happened. I've been going back and forth with them since December. The office manager said she would take the cleaning off for me since I never received it and my insurance is saying that isn't true. Also getting someone to call you back here is like pulling teeth. The only way to get a business to do right by their customers is to write reviews. It's so sad. I will never be back here. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! i have been a customer for over 5 years and every time i go there is some kind of problem. price quotes are incorrect as many people have stated in reviews. they quote you once price, show you the bill and when you come back in to finish work getting done they add charges and even double charge you unless you question the charges and ask to see your previous bill. then they say oh you're right so that wont be charged today. if you don't say anything they just double charge you and hope you don't notice. NOW HERE'S MY HORROR STORY: the only reason i was with them so long is because of their credit card payment plan. recently i went in to have an implant done. while pulling the tooth, they broke the tooth next to it in half and didn't tell me. after i got home i checked in the mirror to see the work done and noticed the other broken tooth. i went back and they said they didn't notice it broke. IT WAS LITERALLY IN HALF! HOW COULD YOU NOT SEE THAT? they sanded it down so there were no sharp edges and didn't offer to fix it or anything. the next appointment i had, i complained and the dentist finally said they will fix that one for free. after having that tooth pulled too, i had to wait the 3 months for the implants. after waiting 4 months, i had to call and schedule an appointment because i was told they would contact me the week before xmas. almost a month after christmas no one had called to follow up. i had to call myself. HORRIBLE CUTOMER SERVICE! i scheduled an appointment to start the implants. when i went in for the appointment, they are now charging me for both implants. over $2000. i'm already making payment on $700 for a tooth pulled and one implant, and now they are trying to say what i got charged for was just 1 tooth being pulled and now the other implant is not being covered as free. they are trying to force extra charges on me knowing that, they still have to finish the job. don't fall for their scams!!! i'm going to a different dentist to finish getting the implants put in. as i'm leaving i encountered another customer coming in that tells me they are angry at this place because they broke a tooth and over charged them. it seems like this is what they do. break your teeth and then charge extra and extort money from patients. I HAVE 2 FRIENDS WHO WORKED HERE FOR A COUPLE YEARS THAT TOLD ME THEY DO ALOT OF ILLEGAL THINGS HERE AND THEY KNOW HOW TO COVER THEMSELVES AND GET AWAY WITH IT. The payments were discussed and explained to me. Ruth the hygienist was very thorough and explained what I will be going through. She made me feel comfortable. The reason for my visit was for a tooth extraction , so to say I was nervous and so anxious would be such an understatement. Both my Dentist, and her assistant were absolutely amazing with me. I was treated by Eunice Lee (I wish I could remember the dental assistant that helped her) but she was equally amazing and kind. Damaris Herrera is one of the best hygienist I have ever met, she is very kind and always gives great tips on how to up my brushing game. First time patient visiting this dentist office for a cleaning and check up. The x-rays did not go very well as they had students or were training new people. The new girl was very nice who was trying to get my fittings but wasn't able to get them correctly. They had to be done over again by another staff member who came to help. All I could think of was more radiation I was being exposed to. The second staff member had no patience with her and was being rough as she was trying to get the second fittings of x-rays. They seemed to forget that I was the patient as she was scolding her telling her what she was doing wrong. Very unprofessional. Visiting a dentist office can be frightening for some people especially children. It should be a calm setting environment, not a stressful one with loud blaring music which was being played. Music is fine, but not the type that they were playing. My main concern here was the amount of money I was quoted to pay out of pocket. This dentist office was trying to have me pay for dental work I did not need. They would not give me my teeth cleaning that I was scheduled for because they stated the hygienist was overbooked even though I was set up for a teeth cleaning. They wanted me to return another day and take time off of work and split my deep cleaning (which I did not need) into another two days which involved local anesthesia which can be pricey and had to pay out of pocket. They also quoted me needing a crown stating it was necessary to do as soon as possible. As the Dentist was speaking to me, she said I was a "potential candidate" for this dental work she was quoting, which means I really didn't need any of it at the current time. This office visit did not sit well with me. I called my dental insurance and let them know. They advised me I was entitled to 2 teeth cleanings a year. My benefits also advised me I could get a second opinion, and the dentist office is not to deny you a basic teeth cleaning. My new dentist saved me over $1200 and I got my teeth cleaned. I did not need a new crown and I did not need a deep cleaning after he looked at my x-rays. He said my teeth were fine as long as I had a cleaning every six months. Please be aware and make sure you are quoted correctly. It's very disappointing this dentist office did not respect my time I took out of work, which it was only supposed to be one day and not 3 days for just for a cleaning. Yelp and Google ask if I would recommend this Dental office? Five years ago I'd say yes. Now...a resounding NO! In fact I'll add NOT ON YOUR LIFE. I've canceled all future appointments. This office tried to swindle $1,147 from me with a deep cleaning...and they almost got away with it. The work was completed and WILLIS (Office Benefit Coordinator) said my Insurance won't cover the process. He also said it's not uncommon. Based on this I paid the full amount. Much to my disappointment, I found out MY INSURANCE INFORMATION WAS NEVER SUBMITTED. I have been deceived by Dr. QUINN'S office. FIVE MONTHS LATER I discovered their deception. I now know the staff took advantage of my age, my lack of understanding insurance billing, out-of-pocket costs, and my overly trusting nature to wage FRAUD against me. I complained to WILLIS in November and only then was the claim sent in. It's unbelievable because I was a patient for years. After letting them know I'm on a disabled income, and letting them know they were caught red-handed, was a partial refund returned to me. I had to plead to the Office Manager, INGRID, rush the refund since it WAS MY MONEY. Conversations were always through WILLIS because INGRID didn't want to speak with me. Bottom line is if I had not caught this theft they would have kept my entire payment without any insurance help. It is downright disgusting. I would like to know how many other senior citizens have fallen prey to their scam. If you've ever paid out of pocket for procedures at STEPHANIE DENTAL GROUP, you might want to check your insurance billing because I know I'm not the first one that they lied to. I tried placing a call to Dr. QUINN'S offices for her to return my call but her employees said she doesn't return calls for small things. My husband broke one tooth on his upper dentures. We went there and they said he could get a full upper for nothing, it was covered by insurance. Well months later we get a bill for $741. Called about it and they had some song and dance about they're not responsible for insurance changing their mind. Yea right. I call BS on that. They emphatically said it was covered in the beginning. Let me tell you about a very pleasant experience I had at the dentist. Yes! It was very pleasant indeed. I know right? Not what you'd expect but hear me out for a sec... I'm new to the area, and have new dental insurance so I searched around to find a good clinic with a great reputation and I found all of that and more at Stephanie Dental Group. It had been over a year since my last hygienist appointment due to the lapse in my insurance coverage thanks to Covid etc. But finally, I'm able to sit in the chair and have my teeth cleaned. The staff at Stephanie Dental Group are wonderful! They welcomed me into the facility with kindness and professionalism, and were always very forthright in the treatment process. After my full set of X-rays with the latest, high tech equipment, they sat me down for an evaluation with Dr. Yeo. Well the news wasn't the greatest, but it was presented with honest, thorough, and professional candor. I realized I needed much more work than just a cleaning and thankfully, we were able to begin that very day. So it was a deep cleaning that I needed first, and on the list of favorite things to happen at the dental office, that one's number 3 right after root canal, and extraction. Damaris was my Hygienist and she did an amazing job! She has a very gentle touch despite needing to break out the picks and shovels to get my teeth back in presentable shape. This deep cleaning was the most involved of any that I had yet to experience. Damaris explained all the details to me in depth and kept me informed and reassured throughout the process. So even though it involved numerous injections to numb the work zone (my entire mouth, one side at a time) and lots of busy work on her part, the whole process went smoothly and before you know it I had my beautiful smile back! Sad to have to do this honestly but twice they had messed up with my appointments (first time I asked to move my appointment to the next day and the girl deleted it completely; second time I told them I can't be there until 5:30 because I have to work til 5. My reminder card said 5:30. But my reminder email and phone call both said 5:00. I called and they said they can't move it. I was able to work it out and leave early to make it to the 5:00 but I then sat there for 20 minutes before they even took me to the back so why couldn't I have just come in at 5:30?) Next, I am not sure if she is new but I had a new to me girl that did both my rads and the cleaning and she was very sloppy (I think her name was Karina or close to it). She lost control of the wash spigot and ended up spraying me across the face and didn't even apologize. She rushed through a very sloppy polish job on my teeth where she also kept hitting my lip with the polish tool and having issues with using it (kept stopping to mess with it). In the past I have felt the cleaning hasn't been the most thorough anyway compared to my previous dentist (who retired) but I let it be since hey, this place is close to home and takes the insurance so it's whatever. I have seen two different Doctors here; a woman who doesn't really have any form of bedside manner but hey, she does her job so w/e ; and a gentleman who has actually always been a pleasure to deal with. Went in for a Crown replacement in general dental work period when Doctor Lee started prepping my tooth for Crown replacement. She broke my tooth to the point. It had to get pulled so therefore I needed a bridge now. 'cause I did not want a gap. And they made me pay for it now. The Crown that she put in. Messed up my tooth to the point I need another tooth pull because she files so much of it off that a Crown won't even go on it. So now I have 2 teeth missing and they charge me every time. I come in just for them to take a look at it. And they refuse to replace or do any work. Without charging me. I do not recommend this dental place because they are all practicing doctors. I went to Stephanie Dental in Jan. 2023 for one extraction and some x-rays. the bill quoted was $299. Stephanie dental billed my Aetna dental coverage for $790. Not knowing what they had done, I went back in February for a cleaning. I did not get a cleaning. I got one filling and some more x-rays. The bill quoted was $184, $80 for the filling and $104 for the x-rays. They billed my insurance for $1,389, which exhausted my coverage for the year. When I asked them about this, they said it was an error and would credit the overcharge back to my insurance. They never did. After many calls to them and to Aetna, Stephanie dental is now saying that their charges are normal, and they will not provide any refund. I believe their charges were deliberate and fraudulent. I certainly will never go there again and would definitely NOT recommend them to my worst enemy. They are bald face crooks and liars, and I will seek legal recourse. They only care about money, not about anyone's health. This was the worst experience I've ever had at a dentist. I went here because they were running a promo for a discounted cleaning for first timers. I also wanted to consult about my bruxism problem because of my concerns about TMJD. They completely brushed off my mention of the bruxism and basically gave me the most basic response you'd find on google, even saying I didn't need a mouth guard even though I was telling them my grinding is causing me serious issues. But even better, they took a look at me and told me they needed to do very expensive work- this didn't surprise me because I do have bad teeth- but they went on to REFUSE to do the cleaning I came in for. They said my teeth were so bad that doing a cleaning would have no effect. I have never in my life heard a dentist say that someone's teeth were so bad they wouldn't even bother cleaning them. Funny how they were only willing to do the incredibly expensive work. I came here because I'm poor and needed a cheap cleaning. Instead I paid for the round trip uber and the appointment just to be told my mouth is so bad it's not even worth trying to clean it. The people here should be ashamed of themselves. read more

This has been my dentist for several years now and I recommend them to anyone in the area. The staff has always been professional and friendly and the doctors I've had treat me are competent practitioners. They have always been very accommodating of my schedule and have even come in on their day off to help me out. They also recently went the extra mile to do an examination on my 4 year old. He was having a hard time with figuring out how to bite on the X-ray without gagging and he was getting frustrated. They were patient with him and worked with him until he was able to do an X-ray like a champ. It is nice to know there are still dentists willing to go the extra mile to help their patients. read more

Checkin process smooth, friendly on boarding staff. Came in to get a simple cleaning as I am awaiting an appointment with my provider and am in need of a cleaning. Either way, the actual dentist assigned to me kinda rushed through the cleaning and was poking my mouth in the process. This place is amazing. My husband referred me to this place, as he also used to come here. They were very accommodating and polite. They kept us informed of the wait throughout the entire process and went above and beyond to make sure we were both comfortable. I don't like the noise that's made with the drills, suctions, and all that other stuff when they're in my mouth cleaning. I expressed this to them and the dentist went and looked for some headphones for me. I will give Stephanie Dental two stars since they do have VERY good customer service and are very friendly. However, since going there my filling came out randomly just a couple months after having it done. This filling was quite expensive and I had to wait a while in the dentist office to have it completed. However, I thought it would be worth it only to have to go back a few months later and take another 2.5 - 3 hours of my time to get another filling. Thankfully, they did not charge me for the replacement. Too bad that my new dentist did x-rays and it turns out that there is a shadow under this filling. So either the filling was not fit snug into my mouth, cavity was missed or the filling is not fitted properly in my mouth and another cavity developed. My husband went to Stephanie Dental and had a horrible experience with them. The cost alone was very high, but that happens with dentistry. He was in so much pain after they gave him a root canal that he stayed in bed for a night (which is VERY rare). Given, the site was probably infected, but he only got one shot of antibiotic and a few ibuprofens after I called them to let them know how much pain he was in. The man has a high pain tolerance, so it had to be bad. Then, at our new dentist, he was told that the filling Stephanie Dental completed in his mouth IS CRACKED. This is not even a year after he had it done and it cracked? He doesn't chew on ice, doesn't eat candy, lollipops, nothing that should do this to a brand new filling. The filling he had from 15+ years ago is still intact, but the newest one is already cracked? So now we have to spend several hundred more dollars to get it replaced by our new dentist when the original cost about $700. I will never go here again. Like I said, amazing customer service, but this is just ridiculous! Oh, and P.S. I got a quick filling at my new dentist. The filling is beautiful and it only took 45 minutes to get Novacaine, filled and then a polishing. I will never go back to Stephanie Dental regardless of all the coupons they send me. You need to be aware of this dentist and their practice. I had a chipped tooth so I made an appointment in August of 2023. After a few x-rays I was told I had a chipped tooth, and would need a crown. The front office informed me they called my insurance and was told they did not cover chipped teeth. So I needed to pay $833 to get a crown made. I had to put it on my credit card in order to get a temporary crown put in that day. After a couple days, I was suspicious of the dental office telling me that my tooth was not covered under my Medicare plan. I called my insurance and they said it was covered at 100%. I called the dental office and told them my tooth was covered by my insurance but they blew me off by telling me someone would call me back, which never happened. I called my insurance back to complain that they were not refunding me my money. My insurance called them and we had a 3 way conversation. My insurance told them to file a claim for my tooth, which they never did. I had a 5 month battle with them to get my money back. Do not let yourself be another victim like I was. Check with your insurance first before agreeing to a procedure. read more
