I have dealt with dental issues for over 13 years, including chipped front teeth and repeated composite bonding repairs. While I was a patient at another office, I had the opportunity to be treated by Dr. Joanna S. just once, and it was immediately obvious that her work stood out. Not only was the quality exceptional, but her bedside manner made me feel comfortable and cared for in a way I hadn't experienced before. With my previous dentist, I often felt rushed and judged, and I rarely left feeling happy with my experience. At one point, I asked about Dr. Joanna S. and was told "there has never been a woman dentist here", only to later discover that she was still seeing patients in Vegas! As soon as I walked into her office, I noticed the difference. Everyone was welcoming, helpful, and genuinely kind. The dental hygienists were amazing and incredibly patient with me, especially knowing that I still carried anxiety from past dental experiences. One hygienist even made sure she scheduled me on a day she was there, and she checked up on me when I wasn't with her too! For the first time in years, I felt comfortable enough to trust a dentist with a major cosmetic procedure. I chose to have crowns placed on my front teeth, and it was one of the best decisions I've made. The results exceeded my expectations, and I can honestly say this is the most confident I've felt since breaking my teeth 13 years ago! DDS Joanna Schmitt is probably the best dentist I've ever had. This isn't me trying to convince anyone, this is a fact in my many years of dental treatment. I have had many dental procedures in my 40+ years of life. Nobody likes the dentist and knowing I was getting an old filling replaced had my nerves in full effect! I know the "drill" literally and the needle too. Please believe me when I tell you that I never felt a thing!!! Not the needle not the drill. I also told her that she didn't get me numb because I couldn't tell that my mouth was numb. She smiled w her eyes and said if it hurts lmk and I'll take care of you. It didn't hurt. Honestly no pain! After the numbness was gone there was no discomfort and I couldn't even tell what she did in my mouth. Amazing dentistry! Amazing bed side manner! Couldn't have asked for better care! I have been going to Dr. Schmidt for many years, even before she was at Horizon Ridge Dental and she is very thorough and cares for her patients. The Staff is wonderful, from Mindy at the Front, to the Hygienist who is so easy to talk to about what is going on with my teeth. I was terrified of the Dentist until I met Dr. Schmidt and her Staff, they make a Dental appointment less stressful. I stopped going to this dental group because their accountant kept charging me for work that was never done. The dentist himself did a great job but his staff are rude and beyond inefficient. The care quality by the dentist himself was excellent. That's the only reason I give them a 2 star. Otherwise it would be a zero. I now go to laser dental on sunset across from the galaxy theater. My second appointment there I'm refused services treatment and even respect after they lied didn't do the job at the VA pay them to do initially missed and infection in my tooth. A $6000 review. enjoy. they have inexperienced dentists working on patients, i had four fillings done in january 2020, immediately following my fillings i had worsening pain for two weeks, everyday the pain getting worse. I kept calling the office to let them know i was in pain, i came in for "adjustments" 4 times before one of the assistants told me "i don't know what else to tell you" after telling them i'm losing sleep over the pain and opioids aren't even helping the pain. finally they referred me to an endodontist where i eventually had to have two root canals (i had to pay out of pocket because the fillings and other dental work exhausted my insurance) on teeth this officer worked on. afterwards i had to go back to get crowns done at the same office because they were going to do part of the crown discounted since it was following a filling. after the second root canal i decided to find help elsewhere because this office had cost me thousands of dollars i decided to go to another office where they told me the temporary crown was done so bad he needed to fix it. (the temporary crown was left with a gap between my gum and the crown which caused my gum to grow down and my natural tooth to be exposed while i waited for the permanent) Long story short, please don't waste your time here. there's always a new dentist (probably straight out of school) read more

It's been almost 3 years now and I am still suffering very bad side effects from Dr. Goodman's work. He performed a procedure on me that should have been done by an oral surgeon before even touching my left molar teeth. All other dentist have told me that and the question is why didn't he inform me? Was it for the money on each tooth you get, Dr. Goodman? Yes people, they get good money on each tooth they extract. On my left side he supposedly pulled out my top tooth, but when going to the dentist rencently I was informed that my top tooth was still inside there after he told me he pulled it out. X-rays do not lie. On top of that my bottom left tooth was close to the nerve connected to my heart, eyes, and brain and he tried to pull that tooth as well. Only to take half out because I was screaming in the office about to pass out. He told me to come back on a drug to make me very sleepy because I was "too tense" (when I found out that is not true! I was in pain because I needed to be under with a oral surgeon) and then sent me home. When I was sent home I was pretty traumatized so I did cancel once just to let my body rest since I was on steroids and amoxicillin from the doctor just in case of potential infection and he knew that. When I made it back to my reschedule Dr. Goodman was nowhere to be found and they actually gave me another dentist. That dentist didn't even want to finish what Dr. Goodman performed and told me this has to be done by an oral surgeon. I asked him then why did Dr. Goodman touch my tooth and he told me he didn't know. What kind of an answer is that?! I ended up switching my dentist, but I would like to relay shortly after Dr. Goodman left to a new office. I reached out to him directly and he told me he apologized and that no one at Boca informed him of what was going on. He said he will fix what he touched. I didn't want him touching my tooth again , but I did want him to look at what he touched so he can let me know from his own mouth that I needed an oral surgeon. When making that appointment though he once AGAIN went M.I.A. I am sharing this to help others who may have experienced the same issue with him or prevent you from getting hurt by this man who does not care about your well being. What I went through with my health shortly afterwards, in and out of the hospital behind this, and still suffering nerve issues have not been pleasant one bit. I have more to this story with the scary side effects after he messed with my molars, but I will leave it focusing on Dr. Goodman. In fact you're not a good man at all. Please change your last name to Badman. I was only 24 years old, taking care of my parents, sister, and trying to keep a roof over my head feeling every side effect from this tooth. Twitching tounge, eye twitches, bloody mouth, temple nerve twitches you name it. I had to temporarily ignore that though because my family needed me. Now that my life is back together and it's before the 3 year mark, best believe I am making sure I focus my attention on all legal actions possible against you since I am still suffering. I have not forgotten what you have done to me or the side effects I am still facing. Please do not make me share screenshots of your messages relating you'd help me. She even offered to complete some work I needed same day, so I didn't have to come back for a separate appointment. I really appreciate this as it is very hard to squeeze in appointments with my work schedule. I have had poor experiences with dental work before, but I'll be back here. Jennifer, the receptionist was the most unprofessional person I have dealt with since getting out of the military. I retired from the military less than a year ago and needed some dental work. The VA gave me a referral for horizon dental and I went, I had to cancel an appointment and then I needed to reschedule one. Jennifer told me that I had to call the VA, she canceled the rest of my referrals (there were 3 open ones for different dental services) she then proceeded to let me know that the clinic was going to have to drop me. I asked her to repeat herself because I was genuinely confused, Jennifer proceeded to say "I don't know what to tell you, you're going to need to call the VA" ... which I did, I reported her and the clinic to them and requested that I see a different dentist. The VA was apologetic for the disrespectful treatment and assisted me no questions asked and no thanks to this clinic or Jennifer, she really needs to be let go because she is a horrible presentation of this clinic. I have never had a good experience here. One of the doctors drilled into my nerve while he was flirting with his nurse. I have really bad anxiety with the dentist and I am not reassured by anyone in that office that I am not going to have this happen again. I have gone in for appointments and the doctor isn't even there. Most recently I had an appointment canceled by them. After rescheduling for a month out I go into the office where I found out the doctor wasn't in and all appointments were canceled for the day. They didn't even have my appointment on record and never called to cancel. It is disrespectful to waste a paying customers time. Not only that the receptionist was disrespectful and insisted that i never had an appointment and had an appointment with another doctor which wasn't true (after she checked her computer she even verified that the appointment wasn't made correctly and that they had an oversight of me all together). I was sent to the doctor next store who was more helpful. I will be going to a different doctor from now on. read more

Love the hygienist, but twice in the past 2 yrs my dentist has left the practice, and after a cleaning a totally new dentist comes in I've never met or was aware was taking over the practice. without even courtesy to notify patients, or giving me an option to change dentists. I'm tired of being guinea pig for new dentists. read more

Dr Redlinger is amazing. I had a root canal and crown build-up performed today. I didn't feel a thing. She has a warm caring energy about her that made the whole experience quite easy. Her assistant Dwayne was also amazing, he is very friendly and was happy to explain everything to me. Betsy also made the experience easier by helping me understand the insurance and coverage and providing me with actual options to best meet my needs. I would definitely recommend this office to anyone and am happy to drive across town to be a patient here. read more

Very disappointed, Started out good and I really liked the staff but I had a bad tooth ache and new I needed a root canal. Called and they told me they could get me in the same day and yes Dr Sherman did his own root canals. Got there and they took 2 xrays and confirmed I needed a root canal on one tooth that already had a crown. Dr Sherman said he would rather have me go to a specialist to have it done. They called 3 different specialist and none could get me in for at least a week. I couldn't bear the pain for another week, so the office girl said she would ask Dr Sherman if he could cut my crown off and at least start the root canal to get rid of the pain. I said great, sat in the waiting room for 30 mins waiting then was told to go ahead and go,they would call me before 1pm. Never got a call back from them, never did anything to help me. Charged me for the exam and xrays, but did nothing to help with the pain. Would never recommend them. Thanks for nothing. read more

Dr. Jackie and staff are awesome! Long story short, I am a dentist in the Army Reserve, and work for the USPHS full time. During my annual dental exam with the Army, it was discovered that I had deep decay in one of my molars. The tooth was asymptomatic, but I knew I was packing food between it and the tooth next to it.(which likely contributed to the decay). One dentist wanted to perform a root canal (UNLV Graduate), which is in my opinion overly aggressive. So I had another dentist clean it out and crown it, but subsequent x-rays showed he did not get all the decay out.(Another UNLV Graduate). Finally, I went to Dr Jackie and asked her to fix it. She was Awesome! I could tell by how she worked that she was a perfectionist and removed all the decay, and she placed a nice gold crown. Now, I don't have to worry because it was done right. If you want your dentistry "done right" by a genuine caring individual, then Dr Jackie is who you should see. BHG read more
