We had just moved in to our new home not even a week, when our upstairs AC unit stopped working. Senior Tech, Antonio, fixed the 2nd AC for downstairs unit about a month prior before we closed and came out within 30 mins of us calling. Antonio was quick to problem solve the issues and was able to get it running. He came backing the next morning to finish up after he got the needed materials. Antonio was so helpful, genuinely nice, and friendly. Eric and him were so kind to us as new home buyers and took AMAZING care of us. We cannot recommend them enough and will for sure be calling them again if anything happens. read more

Highly recommend Step by Step Air Conditioning - honest service that saved us thousands My parents were quoted nearly $3,000 by another company for an "apparent zone issue" with their A/C. They put it off until they returned from vacation. I used Angi to find the highest-rated local pros and the owner, Eric, was the first to call. He quoted $750-$850 (much more in line with what I'd researched online) and could have a senior tech, Antonio, out within the hour. Antonio arrived promptly, was extremely professional and conversant, and walked me through everything he was checking at every step. Turns out there was nothing wrong with the system. The same company that wanted to charge thousands for a non-existent problem is the one that installed an undersized compressor a couple of years ago replacing a 6-year-old unit. Wonder if that was needed. BEWARE -- especially if you live in a 55+ community. Get a second opinion. Huge thanks to Eric and Antonio at Step by Step. Honest, transparent, and highly skilled. If Antonio is available, request him. We couldn't recommend them more. read more

If you are looking for an HVAC technician who truly knows the trade and treats customers with honesty, look no further than Eric at Step by Step Air Conditioning. We originally met Eric when he was with another company, and his quality of work made such an impression that following him to his new business was a no-brainer. Eric carries on a true tradition of HVAC expertise--combining old-school craftsmanship with modern reliability and outstanding customer service. He recently came out to replace a warrantied capacitor for us. Where some companies might try to inflate labor costs on a warranty job, Eric was straightforward, efficient, and charged a very reasonable price. Step by Step Air Conditioning is a testament to what great service should look like. We will continue to use Eric for all our heating and cooling needs and highly recommend him to anyone wanting top-notch work at a fair price! read more

Awesome service from this company. Tech guy name is Antonio who is very helpful and professional. They came to my place right away and fixed my A/c. Eric is the owner. And they are super nice. Job well done. Highly recommended read more

Erik was very knowledgeable. Quick and easy diagnosis and repair. Very upfront and did the job very well. Thank you!

Our air conditioner capacitor failed on us and within an hour of calling they were here, diagnosed, and corrected. Antonio is the BEST!

Antonio was excellent! Step by Step was the THIRD opinion I asked for when trying to get the A/C fixed for an estate I'm the Administrator of. The first said it was electrical. The second said it needed cleaned for $3500 or replaced for $8500 - $10,000. Antonio found the problem in minutes! It was the capacitor. He showed me with his meter how it wasn't working. After replacing that and adding some refrigerant everything was working great. I strongly recommend Antonio and Step By Step Heating and Air Conditioning! read more

10 stars Eric is so swift on responding to a late night AC problem and got Antonio to come out first thing in the morning. Theyre on time, honest and very transparent. Senior Tech Antonio is so knowledgeable and patient to wait til my freon thaws out before doing anything and giving me a qoute. I highly recommend this company for their honesty, knowledge, reasonable pricing and overall service. read more

I had a great experience with Eric. He came out in less than hour of my call, and after I explained the issue over the phone, he already knew exactly what needed to be done. Communication was excellent from start to finish -- their texting system sent appointment reminders and even let me track when he was on the way. He was very respectful and professional, even putting booties over his boots before entering my house. On top of that, the pricing was much more reasonable compared to other companies I contacted. Fast, responsive, professional, and fairly priced -- I would definitely recommend them!! read more

I had a fantastic experience with step-by-step. A honest Company that will be straight up with you about the actual problem no matter how minuscule it might be. I only had a minor problem at my two bedroom Residential Condo. Eric was very straightforward with me and quickly fixed the problem. He also pointed out that I was getting low on Freon and gave me the proper amount to keep my unit running sufficiently at a fair price. Highly recommend! read more

Simply the best!!! Highly recommend.. Called at 4pm on a Monday and received an immediate response within 5 minutes... My AC was fixed less then an hour later.. read more

Let me start off by saying Eric and Antonio were great to work with. I initially hired another company for an AC tune-up to get ready for summer, and--as expected--they came back with a long list of "urgent" repairs. I decided to get a second opinion and had Step by Step come out. They were excellent--very straightforward, honest, and no BS. They actually performed the cleaning and tune-up the first company claimed to have done, and they walked me through everything that had been flagged, explaining what it really meant. Their assessment was very different and ended up saving me thousands of dollars by avoiding unnecessary repairs. I'm extremely glad I found them and will be using them for all my AC and heating needs moving forward. read more

Our HVAC condenser unexpectedly caught fire and required immediate repair or replacement. I contacted four different HVAC companies for assistance, and Step by Step Heating & A/C stood out from the very beginning. Eric, the owner, was exceptionally responsive--I reached out on a Sunday afternoon and received a reply within ten minutes. He even offered to come out that same evening to assess the issue, although I opted for an appointment the following morning since only one of our two condensers was affected. Antonio, the technician, arrived promptly the next morning at 10:00am and conducted a thorough assessment of the system. He took the time to explain the issue in detail, outlined several repair options, and provided clear recommendations. Since this was our first experience dealing with a major HVAC problem, we greatly appreciated his patience and willingness to educate us throughout the process. After receiving a very reasonable estimate from Eric, we decided to move forward with Step by Step Heating & A/C. Both Eric and Antonio were honest, professional, and focused on providing the right solution rather than upselling unnecessary services. They also offered an excellent price on both the repair and a maintenance agreement for ongoing system service. By 2:00pm that SAME DAY, the repair work was underway, and the entire job was completed within approximately three hours! Now that's service! From start to finish, our experience was outstanding. When something as critical as your HVAC system fails, you want a company you can trust to provide quality work at a fair price. Step by Step Heating & A/C exceeded our expectations, and I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of HVAC services. read more

EXCEPTIONAL COMPANY -- STEP BY STEP HEATING, AIR & CONDITIONING! Let me tell you something -- THIS is the company you want! After dealing with what I consider one of the worst experiences I've ever had with an HVAC company, Step By Step Heating, Air & Conditioning was an absolute breath of fresh air. From beginning to end, they were professional, honest, responsive, and exceptional. Exceptional pricing Exceptional timing Exceptional communication Professional from start to finish No excuses -- they showed up and got the job done! This is what a professional company is supposed to look like. They explained what needed to be done, gave me fair pricing, showed up when they said they would, and completed the work without the runaround, pressure, or unnecessary drama. I honestly cannot say enough about their professionalism and customer service. Thank you, Eric! You restored my faith that there are still HVAC companies out there that actually care about doing the job right and treating customers fairly. If you need heating or air conditioning work, do yourself a favor and call Step By Step first. THIS is what exceptional service looks like! read more

Eric and the Step By Step crew were the best!!! From their quick response to their knowledge and genuine care, they went above and beyond to help my family. I honestly thought there were no options left, but Eric didn't give up. He and the entire Step By Step crew did everything they could to get our AC back up and running, especially because of my kids. They showed up at my house late at night and even early in the morning whenever we had trouble with the AC. Their dedication, hard work, and willingness to help really meant a lot to me and my family. Thank you, Eric, and the entire Step By Step crew, for everything you've done for us. We truly appreciate you guys! I highly recommend Step By Step to anyone who needs AC service. You guys are amazing! read more

I was initially skeptical and inclined to choose a company with more reviews, but I'm so glad I went with Eric. After another HVAC company gave us an outrageous quote, I had very low expectations, but Eric far exceeded them. He came out the same day, thoroughly diagnosed the problem, clearly explained our options, and even provided a temporary A/C unit while we waited for the work to be completed. Eric genuinely cares about his customers and provides exceptional service. We're so glad we found him, and he will be the only person we call for any future HVAC needs. Highly recommend! read more

10 Stars Step by Step is a wonderful company! They took great care of me! Everyone was so nice, so helpful and I really appreciate it! Step by Step was absolutely a dream to work with. My message here on Yelp was answered almost immediately, and they had people available within 2 hours, even though it was only a routine inspection and maintainance! Our tech, Antonio, was AWESOME. Super prompt, friendly and informative. He walked us through how the system worked, what he cleaned and tuned up. He recommended we replace the capacitor, but was also honest about it not needing to be replaced immediately, like many service companies do to pad their bills. Their transparent pricing is also excellent, and we will absolutely be going forward with them for future maintenance as well! read more

Eric was awesome, came out at designated time that day as promised, analyzed the problem and gave me a fair quote and did not upsell. I appreciate all that he did in fixing my ac unit. I will always be grateful and will refer him to anyone!!! read more

Called at 9pm on the Friday before July 4th. They came 8am the next morning on a holiday and fixed it. Couldn't ask for more.

I was told by another ac repair company during an annual maintenance inspection that my ac unit had a "pitted contactor" and should be replaced. They quoted $450. I felt this was high so I contacted a number of other companies. Step-by-step responded immediately, quoted much less and sent a tech out the same day to do the replacement. Antonio arrived early. (after checking to make sure that was OK). He took one look at the part and said, "This isn't bad. Let's run a test" -- after the test, he said, "I wish I could make some money off of you, but this part doesn't need replacing." Honest, thorough and responsive. Can't ask for much more. read more

I'm speaking purely from my initial interactions with Eric. I haven't had service done or a replacement of a system yet, but I can tell that this man will do a fantastic job. I was using another larger company for the last few years but had to cut ties because of terrible communication. Eric from start to finish was very communicative, and never felt spammy. I spoke with 2 other companies and they both wanted me to replace my 2 old systems but Eric was the only one who was honest. He told me "there's no need to replace anything yet. yes the systems are old, but they're working fine". "i'd just wait until they break" That honesty was super refreshing. He showed me detailed photos, his test readings, his comprehensive assessment. Didn't push a fix, didn't charge me anything. Just gave me his honest opinion. If you want to support local, and support honesty. Go with Step by step. read more

I recommend Step by Step Heating and A/C for a fast response and reasonably priced 5-Star service. Went out for a bit and came home in the afternoon to find our a/c blowing hot air. Step by Step was the first to answer the phone and scheduled an appointment for 5 p.m. that day with Antonio who arrived promptly dressed in professional attire and had foot booties to cover his shoes prior to entering our home. Antonio replaced the burned out condenser fan motor and the run capacitor at a reasonable price without trying to upsell us and offered to refund and apply that amount towards a new system if ours needs to be replaced by the end of Summer. For now, we are happily air conditioned, thanks to Step by Step heating & a/c. read more

June 30, 2026 We had the best experience with Eric and his crew of kind and honest technicians. Long story short. Our unit (22 years old), finally went out on June 30th. We knew we were going to need to replace the unit and some point this year, but hadn't planned on it in the dead of summer, nor the same week that we had a pipe burst in the bathroom ceiling. So we were dealing with all kinds of issues when the air went out permanently. It was over the weekend that the system quit running, and heat in Vegas in June is crazy. We reached out to him on Monday morning, and he returned the call within MINUTES! He was very kind and considerate and had his tech out here to discuss a new unit with us within the next few hours. He sold us a top-of-the-line system, at an excellent price. The techs came to install the system the next day, and did such a great job putting the system in. They were neat, and very precise with the installation. Everything that Eric said they would do, they did. We are beyond happy and grateful that we found out about the company through our church bulletin. WE will refer them to everyone who asks us about service. Kindness and true concern for others goes a long way, and Eric and his techs encompass these traits. The Smith's read more

I texted them and they responded back to me very quickly and efficiently. I saw they had a limited time special for a free tune up. We set up an appointment and they were available for the date and time I had requested. Our technician Antonio arrived earlier than expected (which was a plus cause I had a lot of errands to run that day). When he was complete with the service he showed me everything he had done and explained everything to me step by step. Wasn't pushy or in a rush. Everyone I came in contact with in the company was very friendly. They have gained a new client. read more

I had an excellent experience with Step-by-Step Heating and Air Conditioning, and I can't say enough good things about my technician, Antonio. I called in the morning to get pricing for an annual AC tune-up and installation of a new thermostat. They were able to get me scheduled for a 12 PM-2 PM window same day, and Antonio actually arrived about 10 minutes before noon, which I really appreciated. Antonio was extremely friendly, professional, and even great with my dog. He got right to work installing the new thermostat and then took the time to help me set up the Wi-Fi connectivity. After that, he completed the AC tune-up in a little under 45 minutes. What I really appreciated was how informative Antonio was throughout the entire visit. He explained how well my AC system was currently performing, pointed out things that could potentially become problems in the future, and answered all of my questions without making me feel rushed or pressured into unnecessary repairs. He was also incredibly respectful of my home. He put on boot covers before walking through the house and upstairs, which is a small detail but says a lot about the level of professionalism and care he provides. 10/10 experience, and I would absolutely recommend Step-by-Step Heating and Air Conditioning to anyone who needs HVAC work. They've definitely earned my business going forward, and if Antonio is the technician you get, you're in great hands! read more

OMG I do believe they are honest! I had Step by Step come out as a second opinion on a tune-up service. So glad I did! After being charged by Legacy Air 100.00 to come out and to tell me I need 2lbs of refrigerant at 500.00 a pound, bringing the cost to an additional 1000.00. Legacy Air who initially installed the unit, over charged with refrigerant. After getting the true cost with a Google search of refrigerant, now knowing I was being gouged. I called Step by step over the phone who gave me the cost of refrigerant and It was in line with my research. I accepted their free inspection. I was told nothing was wrong with my unit except that it was over charged with refrigerant was the cause of my unit working efficiently. All things repaired and I also purchased a year service for less than 1/3 of 1000.00 with the wrong diagnoses. This was a very good feeling getting great and honest service from Step by Step. read more
