I wanted a very hard color to find in roses a coral mixed with peach lined with other small white flowers. The owner I'm forgetting her name went above and beyond to find the perfect color for me within a weeks notice and she also lined the roses with bendable wire so I could attach the roses to my Up do. We came here for flowers for our June wedding. Diana was amazing! From the beginning, she made my family and I feel extremely comfortable with her professionalism and attention she gave us during our appointments. I loved that she sat with with us to consider our budget and showed us her flower supply in the back so we could get a visual of what the arrangement would look like (other places charge you extra for that). She was also amazingly accommodating when we had to make changes to bouquets and colors, etc. In the end, the finished flowers were absolutely gorgeous. He took the time to send pictures of arrangement that they had done today, so I could get an idea of the work they did. Stems Floral and Boutique was the ultimate place for my husband and I to go to plan our wedding flowers. This was a second marriage so I told the owner, Diana exactly what I wanted and expected for this event. Diana not only went up and over the top on our flowers but worked closely with our fabrics, our photographer, LucieXYZ Photography and the Event Planner at San Juan Oaks Golf Club. Diana made three individual appointments to make sure we were satisfied. In addition, due to weather changes, the event was MOVED inside from an outdoor setting THAT DAY and Diana redesigned arrangements that day to suit out wedding location. I am disgusted by a previous review that was posted by a Ruthie G and called Diana as this is NOT the florist who has impeccable work ethics and design skills that we received. In addition, ironically I was informed that this person was never a client, never made an appointment that was on the books or showed up as stated. Why am I writing this? I was in a wedding this weekend and although Diana provided very beautiful arrangements she seriously lacks in customer service. She was very flighty and we were worried that no matter how many emails and phone calls that we were placed regarding what was needed that she would still some how get it wrong. We were not confident that she would do everything in the contract and we were right. When the groom dropped off the box of supplies that the bride discussed with her she was on the phone she didn't put the person on hold or ask the groom to wait she motioned for him to set the box down then when he did she asked what was in the box, had she had paid attention or read her emails she would have known that they were the decorations that she agreed to hang with her floral arrangements. She was given strict instructions NOT to call the bride on her wedding day (not unreasonable right?) yet of course at 10:30AM on the day of the wedding she was calling. Turns out she decided that the day of the wedding was the perfect time to review the contract she had with the bride and their notes and NOW she had questions about what she was suppose to do. Apparently she had changed her mind about what she agreed to do one of those things being hanging paper lanterns she claimed she didn't have a ladder and they were too heavy the gazebo wasn't tall at all me at 5'1 could have hung the lanters without a ladder and too heavy? they were paper. She wanted to charge an additional $200 to do this. Of course the brides sister said No way she'd do it herself, she didn't volunteer to stay throughout the services again the brides sister had to put her foot down and MAKE her stay. Although the flowers on the tables and all around were beautiful it wasn't worth having the bride worry the whole day about what mistake her florist was going to make. I also heard that she stuffed flowers into the Wedding cake (which did not require flowers as it was already beautifully made and nothing more was needed). Would not recommend this florist to a bride. read more

Had the pleasure (not really) of working briefly with this business while trying to plan my wedding. This florist(Diana) was recommended to us by the wedding director at a local venue who suggested employing their services. My fiancee and I were told we had an appointment at 11am, however when we arrived the employee told us we were mistaken and asked if we were sure it wasn't at 1pm. He then explained that the florist was not in and would be on their way shortly, and asked if we don't mind waiting for 30 minutes. We did, and walked around the shopping plaza for 30 mins. When we returned, we were greeted by another employee(Jim) who apologized for the inconvenience they placed us in since he was responsible for booking the appointment, but insisted the florist would be in shortly. When we asked how much longer, they said no more than 15 minutes. So we waited again for about 30 minutes longer; since we drove down from San jose (20 mins away) and didn't want to waste the time we've already committed to meeting with the florist. Turns out the wait was for nothing, as the florist never showed. After we went to back to the shop, Jim tried to explain she's around the corner from the shop ( again saying she should be in about 15 mins) and asked if we wanted to wait. At this point we were both livid with the treatment that we declined their invitation to spend anymore time wasting our weekend. They tried to ask if we wanted to book another day.... Not likely if you couldn't get it right the first time! Horrible service from a business in an industry that already charges ludicrous amounts of money. I would suggest a florist who treats it's customers and their time as valuable as the money they are about to dish out to employ them. read more

Sorry this review is so late but that's pretty much who I am - always late. So coincidentally that's what brought me to Stems in the first place. You see, it was Valentines Day morning, I just got off work and realized that I needed flowers for my wife. So I found Stems through a map search and rushed in. Since it was Valentines Day, I could tell they were busy, but as soon as I walked in, they made me feel that I was their most important customer. I saw an arrangement for sale with some Calla Lilly's (wife's favorite flower) and asked if there was any more. They told me those were the last ones left but they would be more than happy to put those in another arrangement for me. I took them up on the offer and took a stroll around the strip mall for a bit. When I came back, I was surprised by the beautiful arrangement that Nicole had created and at a price that was phenomenal for the season. I want to that Nicole and Jim for their outstanding customer service and understanding of my situation. Thanks again you guys for keeping me out of the "Dog House"..
