This is what I got

So I ordered 2 leis back in April for a graduation today (May 18). I get there to pick them up and am told they don't have orchids. Oh but, "They'll be here tomorrow" which does absolutely nothing for the graduation today! They put together a lei (the only one it appeared they had and stuck some blue ribbon in it. They did reimburse me for the cost of the second lei as well as the tip I had left. I'm super frustrated because they had my number and at no time did they call me and say there was a problem. That would've given me more time to find another florist that could MAYBE get something together. Trying to find a florist that can pull off a lei ON THE DAY is near impossible and in a short time frame. This is the first time I've done business with The Flower Cottage, and the last. The ball was really dropped on this one.

It was the wife birthday and I didn't want to mess it up. Went to the website pick out the biggest bouquet with a vase, plugged in the delivery address, submit payment and cross my fingers for the best. The Flower Cottage came through!! She loved the different types of flowers in the bouquet, and she got the other girls hating lol It was worth every penny, order online, sit back and chill Flower Cottage will handle it 5/5

My daughter sent me a spectacular bouquet of flowers on Mother's Day this year. Sooo beautiful!! Flowers I had never seen before too. They smelled so great for days. I thinned out the dead ones as the weeks went on, yes weeks! I had a small bunch that were still beautiful on the 3rd week since delivery. My daughter definitely got her monies worth. She has used The Flower Cottage-Morgan Hill, CA., many times. I definitely recommend The Flower Cottage for quality, value service & selection. ( I don't know why value is not selected above )

Beautiful flowers!

Ordered flowers for my daughter this morning and they were delivered in the afternoon. Beautiful flowers and quick service. Would recommend.

Not a good combination

The flowers were gorgeous. However my husband specifically ordered flowers in colors and a vase that were not red and white for valentines. The flowers were orange, peach, yellow, purple and green shown in a glass vase. His goal was a beautiful every day vase. I received red hearts on white crockery vase. It really distracted from the flowers. I would understand if the flowers were red. It looked odd with the flower colors. I guess they just wanted to get rid of this valentine vase! I hate it!

Birthday bouquet with unusual sunflowers and exotic designs. Amazing.

Beautiful design for a birthday bouquet, unusual flowers. Very artistic Fantastic customer care--they even left the bouquet in a sheltered area to ensure that it was safe when I got home. 100 Stars !!

I have used The Flower Cottage in MH for many years to send my mom flowers. Whatever the occasion, birthdays, celebrations, getting through her cancer treatment the Flower Cottage has the perfect bouquet. You guys are true artists! Thanks! BTW my mom loved the b-day flowers she received yesterday. A bit of sunshine after so many days of rain.

What I received
Patricia R.

Ordered a small arrangement for my mom's retirement. I even left a tip. What I ordered vs what I received was misleading. Additionally, the online ordering through their direct site didn't have enough information as to when the arrangement would be ready. I had to call and ask them if it was ready (super annoying). I also design flower arrangements and feel this could have had more flowers and less fillers. (Online it had the words as pictured) even the vase is red and cheap looking. The comment below makes me even more irritated. This seems insensitive and insincere. Offering to do it again was about saving face for your Yelp reputation NOT a genuine apology. You sent me a centerpiece and my sister in law already handed these to my mother. You should have called me and let me know your limitations rather than stealing my money. You're running a shady business.

All white flower wreath.

We used the flower cottage for my dad's celebration of life and couldn't be more happy with the arrangements we ordered. The temple said it was the best urn arrangement they've ever seen. Customer service was great as well.

Ordered last minute on mother's day for pick up and it was ready in less than an hour. Currently live miles away from home and I was able to order them online even with a personal note attached to it. Make sure to call in & check in what time you'll be able to pick it up. Thank you for the beautiful basket of flowers! You've earned a new customer.

Ordered a Birthday arrangement from Jerry for my girlfriend Donna.. It was absolutely beautiful.. She loved it!! Wanted to thank Jerry & Julie for making it.. They both were wonderful to me in ordering it also.. Thank you, Thank you..

Designer's Choice! Gorgeous.

Called the Flower Cottage for a last minute order. Not only were they able to do same day delivery, but they also created a BEAUTIFUL arrangement for my mom! I was deciding between the Garden of Dreams and For My Darling Mom, and he said he can do the Designer's Choice and make it a mix of the two. The service was friendly, efficient, and a great price for what you get. I'm beyond impressed. Thank you The Flower Cottage for making my mom's bday a memorable one!

Had fun diving deep into all things chicken, learning about the day-to-day of rearing and maintaining a 500-count flock. Stephanie is a fabulous host, friendly and responsive and knowledgeable, comfortable engaging with guests and sharing about her farm business. I particularly enjoyed the chance to feed the pastured chickens and gather eggs from their coops. (My first time for both.) While visiting with the birds in their run, you see them scratching for bugs, dust bathing and foraging. Stephanie also demonstrated how the farm harvests, cleans and packs eggs for sale. It was a treat to bring home a carton of the fresh eggs that we hand collected - some from right under the hen. I loved the beautiful shell colors, green and blue in addition to the familiar white and brown. (Breed determines egg color.) There are many animal residents at The Nest Box. During the visit, I also saw a duck (waddling among the chickens), cat, cow and pigs. I left the farm thinking that the animals at The Nest Box are fortunate to be so well cared for. This tour is appropriate for both children and adults, and will be of particular interest to those curious about animals and where food comes from. The activity is not physically taxing, other than being on your feet and in the sun. Pro tips: Wear sun protection and closed-toe shoes that you do not mind getting dusty.

I spoke with a friend about our experiences at Johnson's, and we both agreed, it feels like walking into an old western saloon where everyone knows "you ain't from around these parts!" I was looking to buy a magnolia, but wanted to know what the differences were, which is better for our environment, so I approached an employee who tried to avoid eye contact with me until he could do it no longer. He started stammering when I asked if he knew anything about the trees I had considered contenders. He fumbled with his walky-talky to try to find someone else to help me, but spotted (who I found out later was the manager) watering plants in the vicinity. He asked her if she could help and she replied rudely with "WHAT?" as she clearly saw me (the customer) asking a question. He stammered nervously and she followed up with "What do you want?" I jumped in and asked my questions about which is best and she said, "They're all pretty much the same." I asked if any were better for our climate/environment and she said with an attitude, "We don't sell anything that doesn't grow around here." She then curtly turned away and went on with watering the plants. I did not feel copacetic with her "customer service," so I bought my tree and decided not to go back. I would rather go to an establishment with less selection, but better service. Also, the prices are on the higher side for some things, but reasonable for others, it just depends on what it is. Either way, Home Depot works for me from now on, and if they don't have what I want, I'll research somewhere other than Johnson's. It's a shame, too, because the place is like walking through a botanical garden, only the vibe given by the staff is that "it ain't big enough for the both of us!"

HOWEVER, it's incredibly awkward, annoying and desperately needs improvement. The way the registers are set up are cubbies on each side of the monitor/scanner/pinpad. This is so you can unload on the right side, scan in the middle, then in the bag on the left. The way this store is doing it, is the employee stands there awkwardly block the left side of the register, waiting for you to put your items on the table, max like 5 items because the table is very small. She scans, then hands it back to you...one. item.at.a.time. I am not even over exaggerating, this has happened the last 4 times I've been here. So not only am I unloading 5 items at a time, but I have to wait there for 1 item to be scanned then handed back, then I put it in the bag, until the table is cleared, then I add another 5 items and so on and so forth... If 5 below is adopting this new policy of having employees scan your items, wouldn't it make sense for them to then put them in the bag too? I mean...how does this model work when it's busy? It was actually insane how awkward and slow this whole ordeal was, it makes me not want yo go back and that sucks because my son and I like to go pretty frequently. I wouldn't even mind if an employee stood right next to me while I scanned each item. That would actually be less awkward than this ridiculous new setup.

Of course, like usual with Five Below, I ended up browsing around and finding more things than what I originally came in for lol. They have a lot of cute and affordable stuff throughout the store. I saw Hello Kitty coloring books, accessories, toys, beauty items, and a really cute selection of mini backpacks. Some of the Hello Kitty and Snoopy backpacks honestly reminded me of the Loungefly style but for a much cheaper price. They also had plenty of other characters and designs to choose from. I ended up getting a shirt too, but this is where my experience wasn't so great. While looking through the clothing section, I noticed ants crawling around the shelf and near the clothes. There were enough that I actually had to shake the shirt out and check it carefully before buying it to make sure there weren't any ants on it. I even took a picture because it definitely caught me off guard. Hopefully that's something the store takes care of because you don't want bugs crawling around merchandise you're about to bring home. Besides the ant situation, this location has a ton of good finds. You can come in looking for one little thing and easily find five more things you didn't know you wanted. The prices are affordable, there's a huge variety, and that's really the whole point of Five Below. Definitely a fun store to browse in Morgan Hill, but the clothing area could use some attention because of the ants.
