My son called me yesterday (Sunday) to tell me that my daughter-in-law, Marisol, had appendicitis and had had an appendectomy on Saturday (11/04/23). We had heard from Jim the week before (10/28) when communicating by e-mail and he had mentioned that she had had food poisoning that week from a taco . . . but when he called us yesterday, apparently it was not food poisoning but appendicitis! So it was really bad to go on so long but thank goodness she got to the hospital (Watsonville Community Hospital) and we understand they are taking excellent care of her as she recuperates after that emergency surgery, although she spoke to me for a moment on the phone and did say she felt like she had been run over by a truck. With all that happening to the poor girl, I hoped I could get some flowers to her hospital room to cheer her up a little bit. Looking up florists in the area, my daughter Susan and I found "Flowers by Toshi" in Watsonville and I called their number and spoke with Ryoko. As it turned out, I decided to send an orchid plant. Ryoko said it would be at the hospital before 1:00 this afternoon. I spoke with my son a while ago and he said the plant arrived this morning while he was visiting Marisol and "they were beautiful" so that made me really happy - that they were beautiful and apparently there well before 1:00! I strongly recommend Ryoko and "Flowers by Toshi" if you are someone who is also out-of-town wanting to send flowers to someone in Watsonville! I wanted to cheer up my dear daughter-in-law who is the sweetest girl! read more

We asked Flowers by Toshi to create a casket spray for my father's funeral. We chose one from the photos in the shop and asked to add more color. The suggestion by the shop to add birds of paradise and orange daylillies made the spray even more beautiful. Definitely recommend and will be repeat customers for any further floral needs. read more

After buying from d'lilys and Betty's in Watsonville and having a horrible experience with the types of bouquets they send out (both in presentation and quality of flowers) I decided to give this shop a try based on reviews. Let me tell you they did not disappoint! The presentation was beautiful, just like the online picture and a week later they still look amazing, which tells me the flowers were fresh! Would definitely purchase from this flower shop again !! Very satisfied customer and my mother loved her flowers read more

Like always they did a beautiful job and so kind and helpful. The very best. The only florist we would go to.

Ten stars!!!! With 3-1/2 hours notice, Flowers by Toshi arranged and delivered a lovely arrangement to Mehl's Colonial Chapel in Watsonville. When we arrived at Mehl's later that evening for the viewing, the flowers were displayed. I was so impressed they were able to get the flowers to Mehl's in such short notice and within our budget. This truly is great service! read more

Ryoko did a PHENOMENAL job on the flowers for our wedding in October! She took my ideas and vision and turned them into beautiful, memorable, and stunning works of art. She really worked with me to select flowers and types of arrangements within my budget. She even came with me to visit our venue before our wedding to get an idea of what she could create to compliment the setting. Everything came together so perfectly on our wedding day. Ryoko arrived extra early to set up and ensure that everything looked perfect. The flowers complimented our color scheme and setting so nicely. All of the bouquets and boutonnieres were beautiful. I LOVED my bouquet so much... I was actually sad to part with it during the bouquet toss. The floral arrangements for our ceremony site looked amazing in the vineyard setting. We were absolutely blown away by the floral decorations when we first stepped into the ballroom. It was literally one of those jaw-dropping moments. The centerpieces really brought everything together. They were tall and vibrant to compliment the high ceilings and openness of the large ballroom. Ryoko was so creative with the design and usage of the arrangements. She made these adorable little arrangements that hung from shepherd's poles along the aisle during our ceremony, she moved them to the patio tables during cocktail hour, and then used them to decorate the ballroom during our reception. Other arrangements from the ceremony were also used to decorate the ballroom for our reception. Ryoko pays very close attention to detail. Our cake and cake table were decorated so perfectly. She not only did a fantastic job decorating our cake with hydrangeas, but she added simple floral arrangements and flower petals on the table. She also made sure the stair and ramp rails outside had some greenery on them. She even moved some flower arrangements into the restrooms. Overall, we really couldn't have been happier with the way everything turned out. We received TONS of compliments from our guests. Ryoko is extremely talented and professional, and I would highly recommended her for any floral needs! read more

I am very pleased with the flowers ordered for my father's funeral recently. The flowers for the casket and the services were beautiful. The arrangements had beautiful yellow lilies and roses. The flowers were already at the funeral home when we arrived. Coming from out of town and not knowing which flower shop to contact, I made my decision using Yelp. read more

They helped me surprise my wife with a beautiful bouquet of roses and even delivered them to my beach rental. I would highly recommend them. I ordered them online sight unseen and they looked just like the picture. read more

I've used this service 3 times. first I placed an order and was overcharged, I was told that the price on the website was incorrect. I asked them to honor the price on their website and they would not blaming it on the people who administer their site. I had to settle for a cheap substitution. I just recently sent anniversary flowers to my girlfriend and they sent her a "Happy Birthday" balloon instead of an Anniversary Balloon. Thirdly I ordered chocolates and they sent the wrong type as well since they didn't have the right types in stock. I would recommend people find a different florist. I've had 3 consecutive bad experiences. read more

As in the past, I knew I could trust Ryoko to create a beautiful floral tribute for my mom's funeral services. With no direction other than what my mom's favorite color was the casket piece, spray and heart were gorgeous. Ryoko knew just what she would like! read more

So, today's Valentines Day.... and every year, my now Fiance sends me flowers from this place, and every year he SPECIFIES that he doesnt want red roses at all in my bouquet, and EVERY YEAR so far they have sent me a RED bouquet of roses. Dont get me wrong, they are still pretty, and I LOVE my fiance for sending me flowers, but the fact that he is paying a pretty penny for these flowers, and they F*#$ the order up every year pisses me off. Talk about un-organized! read more
