I've passed by Ace's for years and somehow it has always been closed, so I was gleeful it was open when I was in the parking lot for another shop. Ace's is small but it packs quite a punch because there are so many things packed into that small shop! It wasn't just flowers, like I expected. I bought the first thing that caught my eye.... It was a bird house made of what looks like bamboo twigs, wire and real moss ($35). So cute. Service was small-town-friendly too. :) read more

This floral shop is the best kept secret in Aptos - absolutely charming arrangements, and gifts, at super reasonable prices, and with really cute cards and home decor... Always my go to for flowets for friends, especially since Ace's offers some sweet little unique arrangements for about $12. My experience elsewhere is that $12 gets you maybe a card. And I appreciate all the custom touches and friendliness. read more

I was looking for a place to order a lei for my Mom's birthday. I was so happy to find Ace's Flowers. I had to place my order over the phone, but it was quite easy. The lei was preserved in a nice plastic box with a ribbon so it could hang until I presented it to my Mom. This was helpful because the condensation on the inside of the plastic box collected quite quickly and could have damaged the orchids. The orchids were an amazingly deep purple and the strand was so full! Throughout my Mom's party, the lei looked beautiful and held its shape. I was so happy with the quality and ease of the process. read more

We live in Vermont, and our precious daughter recently moved to Santa Cruz. It was her birthday, and we needed something special to be sent to her. We called Ace's and they absolutely did deliver happiness! Both for us and our daughter. So pleasant on the phone even though it was almost closing time. They helped us choose the "live oak mid county" arrangement, which was delivered in a timely fashion with care. The arrangement was so beautiful a perfect tribute to our daughters 35th birthday. Thank you Ace's for your attention to detail and pleasant customer service. You really made her birthday wonderful! read more

Yesterday I received a surprise delivery from Ace's Flowers, sent to me by my husband. WOW! This bouquet is one of the most lovely I have received, and is a stunner from every angle! We have had great experiences in store, too. In particular I love their wee "bouquets in a box" which are always a hit with recipients. Wonderful people, excellent service, fast delivery, comparable pricing-- I'm a big fan and this bouquet is a prime example of why I'm giving my highest rating to Ace's Flowers-- thanks for sharing so much happiness read more

Awesome Ace's !!!!!!! best creation and work by Amy!!! Love the business and Amy's work.

I received an absolutely gorgeous bouquet from my husband after I had to have surgery. Ace's did a breathtaking arrangement that lifted my spirits completely. As a former florist I have my opinions on color, texture, and variation, and your work was outstanding. We had not been to Ace's before so it was a wonderful surprise for me and a great experience for both us of. We will be back!! Thank you so much for an elegant and graceful arrangement! read more

I arrived as soon as they opened (right after a holiday too!) and wondered if they would be able to fulfill a bouquet order within 20 mins. It was a YES as the bouquet was beautiful! Ordered a window box (of succulents) via their website for a friend who works in Aptos. The item arrived on time and she absolutely loved it. The box was very well put together with a few great touches (a red bow and a great handwritten note). The online order form was simple and straight forward to use (can enter note and delivery date request). Amy was great in communicating with me via email to ensure what I wanted was executed perfectly. This was by far one of the best florist experiences I have had. Much better than dealing with those name brand shops like 1800flowers which deliver flowers in a box and charge a lot extra around the holidays. Goes to show it pays to support local business. Will definitely use again for deliveries in the Santa Cruz/Aptos area. read more

The freshest, most beautiful flowers in Santa Cruz County. My boyfriend purchases me flowers from Ace's once a week. Today is Wednesday and these were purchased on Saturday. We worked with Amy to customize flowers for our small, outdoor wedding. Amy is very good at what she does and made the process extremely easy. She has a very calm, mellow attitude and her knowledge of flowers and their durability in various weather conditions was impressive. She helped us pick beautiful flowers to feature at our wedding that would hold up well throughout the day. They turned out beautifully! Amy provided the following for our wedding: Bridal Bouquet Flower Girl Bouquet 2 Floral Pins for Mother of the Bride & Mother of the Groom Officiant Boutonniere Boutonniere's for Groom, Father of the Bride, 2 Best Men and Officiant 10 mini welcome arrangements for the guest rooms 6 small-medium arrangements for the dinner table/bar 6-8 small hanging arrangements for the sides of the guest chairs along the aisle We were beyond pleased with the quality of arrangements Amy provided for such a fair price. She offers delivery but we decided to pick up our flowers to save a bit of money. Amy packaged them so well that we had no problem transporting them - and everything was ready on time. I highly recommend Ace's Flowers for your floral needs. read more

Ace always makes me look good - their arrangements impress even the biggest flower snobs. Whether a special birthday, funeral, wedding or housewarming Ace delivers imaginative, unique, stellar designs. It's the only flower store I know where I can call and describe a person and they will translate that into an actual flower arrangement. And they do it amazingly well better than any other flower shop I've ever been to and I'm from New York City! They are a great small business and Santa Cruz is lucky to have such artistry local. Their plants, arrangements & assorted gifts never fail To bring a smile to someone's face. Go to aces and get a little piece of magic! read more

The store is real cute. The selection is different and I really liked it. Butttt I went in on Monday the 27th of January the day after Kobe Bryant passed and I was wearing my shirt and tie with a Kobe jersey over it. the employee/owner of the shop made really uncalled for comments "was Kobe still married ? Didn't he cheat on his wife and give her a huge diamond to make up with her ?" I'm not easily offended but it's just uncalled for the day after any one passes to step on there throat. He had already passed with his 13 year old daughter ! What was the point of the comment? I finished my purchase. the flowers they have there are unique but the more I think about it the more I feel it was very insensitive and if my employees made that comment they would be reprimanded. What they have to remember is they are in retail and the handeling of customers matter. I am giving them two stars because I liked the flowers there but the comments are very insensitive. If I could have gave them 2.5 I would have. Anyway I won't be going back but which sucks because I live in seacliff but there is another shop down the street so I'll check them out. read more
