My son, who is currently in 8th grade, has been with Stem USA for several years! Everyone at the center is so patient and friendly. I always have tons of questions for the director, yet, she always patiently answers all of them :) The instructors there always greet the kids with big smiles on their faces. They offer a variety of courses and try to cater to individual interests and abilities. Since my son had such a great experience, my daughter, who is now 10, decided to join, too! She was able to use her creativity to design and complete many projects in the creative course. She really enjoyed it! I have nothing but "good reviews" to say about Stem USA. My 9 year old son has been going to STEM Center for a year now and absolutely loves it. My 5 year old just started this year and loves it as well. They both are always so excited when it's "STEM class day". We have no problems leaving the house when it's time to get to class. The instructors are all so friendly, knowledgeable, and patient with the kids. I wait in the lobby sometimes and hear so much laughter and joy coming from the classes. The manager, Jess is also so sweet, helpful, and kind. She's always greeting us with a friendly smile when we walk through the door. We started attending STEM Center USA several months ago after we found them through my child's homeschool charter school. My son is always excited to participate and has made friends. Also, the staff is so caring, knowledgeable, and professional. What I love about this center is that they provided additional support with my son's science fair project (where he received a Physical Science award). My 7-year-old son has been attending STEM classes for almost 1.5 years. He is always excited to go, and he has learned the basics of coding at such a young age while having so much fun. He truly loves the classes, and he says it is his favorite after school activity. The classes are challenging enough to keep the kids engaged and having fun. The teachers and the administration are always willing to help by being flexible with the schedule and explaining what the kids will be learning in each of the courses. My daughter goes here, and so far we love it! She is so happy when she leaves from her class. She feels like she accomplished building something like a robot. She talks about it a lot. My 13 year old, seventh grade son has been building and coding at the STEM center for about 4 months. He absolutely loves it. He works at his pace, with an instructor there to help him if needed. Our family has been so lucky to find STEM Center USA Claremont. We scheduled a tour with Miss Jess and it was easy to set up. Miss Jess was extremely welcoming of our whole family day of the tour. After the initial tour, they think of the whole family with the details of the program and scheduling for the parents while the kids engage in a hands on activity. Since we joined, our kids have had nothing but positive feedback and look forward to class with Miss Cameron each week. My son absolutely loves his STEM class with Ms. Zue and Ms. Jordan. They are great instructors and go at my son's pace. My son is always excited to go to class and see what next project he will build that day. The staff is very organized and responds quickly through email and are very helpful with any questions that I have. We are also very excited to be attending their summer camp this year. Horrible at follow-up. I tried to take a tour of the facility. They stood us up and cancelled twice. We called to reschedule a third time. No one returned our call. They were also supposed to email information about their costs and program details but they did not send the email. Truly disappointing experience from start to finish. read more

These classes are OK. The instructor that my kid had was not kind and my kid didn't really learn a lot.

My oldest is a fan of math and science so I thought I'd sign him up for the K-1 summer class. The class was held at the Claremont McKenna college and the location was nice and spacious. There was a grassy lawn in the middle where kids can have snacks, lunch, and play time. The classrooms had about 15-18 kids. They worked on Lego projects such as a paper crimper, LED lights, a windmill that can be programmed via the computer. He wanted to come back every year. They also have some play time if you drop them off early. They let parents/family check out their projects 10 min before they're dismissed. The K-1 class is only 3 hrs but the older kids from 8 years old and up are full day. I'll be sure to save up for the class every year. read more

AMAZING! I tell all my other friends they MUST bring their kiddos here. Lego building - robotics - coding classes at reasonable prices. A hidden gem. My kiddos looove coming here. The owners are very friendly and really dedicated to building a program that provides kids with skills that they will need later in life. A place that makes kids think and figure things out for themselves. A place where kids work with their hands and their brains! This place is a gem! They are awesome! What I also like is they are flexible on make-ups! If you miss a day, no problem. I feel their mission here is really to teach your kids, not just take your money and I appreciate that! Since STEM Center USA has a new business page, along with their new address, I've decided to copy my previous review and place it on here with the update that we still LOVE sending our son here. He has learned so much about robotics, engineering, and programming and he's really grown as a person due to his time at STEM Center. The owners, Melissa and Lavanya, are so hands-on and involved with the business and the kids on a day-to-day basis and they are genuinely excited and proud of what they are doing. After nearly a year, we are still so thrilled with our experience and highly recommend to everyone we know. My Previous Review: We found STEM Center USA completely by accident. Their robotics programs sounded exactly like what we were looking for in a weekly activity for our science-minded and creative kid. Our first visit (sans kid) impressed us enough that we brought him back the next week to check it out. He seemed very interested so we signed him up for a six-week session. Four weeks into it, we are very impressed. Not only is he having fun building robots and learning how to program them using IFTTT statements, he is really excited about it, is inspired, and looks forward to going back each week. Melissa, who runs STEM Center USA, does an amazing job of running this program so that each student's learning is tailored towards their abilities and pace. She also doesn't answer the kids questions when they get stuck but, instead, asks them questions that will help lead them to discovering the answer on their own. For any parent who is looking to expose their children to any form of robotics, programming, or engineering, STEM Center USA should be one of their first stops. read more

My 2 boys ages 9 and 13 are just finishing up their 2nd session so I finally feel like I can leave a knowledgable review. I can't say enough about Melissa and STEM Center USA. They have built several robots now and they look forward to attending each week. It amazes me to watch my sons problem solve and the patience the staff has with the students. At the end of each session they write in a journal what they have done and keep notes. They are also required to put all of their items away. For me this is an added bonus - to work on their writing and learning responsibility. This has been a great experience so far and we look forward to many more sessions. read more

This place rocks. My 3 kids have been learning robotics at this educational institute for the past several years. They absolutely love it and have greatly benefited from it. It is SoCal's hidden gem. The owners are engineers -- they make tech FUN and are bigly inspirational to the kids. There are sufficient instructors and mentors to make for a productive student:teacher ratio. It is a cooperative team learning environment; in addition they have a long history of organizing competition teams -- who have gone on to successfully compete at regional and state level robotics tournaments. You can also buy DIY robotics kits here to keep the kids jazzed at home. My kids' little lives are being transformed by the tremendous inspiration and education they find here.
