Despite this setback, Janice and her team were there on time working on setting up while the restaurant workers were cleaning up. I can only imagine how chaotic it must have been, but everything was setup on time and came out beautiful! The theme was like XLB on CNY, and Janice ran with the idea and brought it to life. We loved the addition of the fans and flowers! There were also some lanterns that they were able to attach onto the walls that added to the theme, but we forgot to take pictures of them. One completely collapsed while a guest was sitting on it, and he fell hard to the ground. He injured his back and wrist bad enough that he needed weeks of physical therapy. When I informed the owner, Sylvia, her only response was, "Can you tell the driver when he pickup to put them a side thank you". I also asked for a partial refund for the unusable chairs (about 25% of them), but she refused and only offered an $8 credit toward a future rental. That completely misses the point--this is about client safety and accountability, not a small discount. They are lucky we didn't pursue legal action. This is more than bad customer service--it's a liability waiting to happen. The fact that they're still renting out broken equipment is unacceptable and dangerous. Think twice before doing business with them. They're unsafe, unprofessional, and couldn't care less about their customers. I will never use their services again.
