My wife contacted this gym to inquire about classes for our son. Five days later we received a text acknowledgment, but before we could schedule anything or agree to services, we noticed a charge on our card. We were previous customers under the prior ownership, so they may still have had old payment information on file. We immediately contacted the gym during business hours by phone and email to dispute the charge and request clarification, but did not receive a response. The charge was not authorized, so we disputed it with our bank. Hopefully this was an administrative error, but the lack of communication has been disappointing. read more

We started coming to My Gym in La Verne after a neighbor recommended it, and it's been such a great experience for my 16-month-old. We've been a handful of times now, and she always has a blast. We love My Gym La Verne! We've been taking my 5 year old for the past year for Preschool Gymnastics. He loves it and has made new friends from here too! It's not a true gymnastics class but that's not what we were looking for. I would call it more of a play gym but they do some basic gymnastics. We also go weekly for their practice and play sessions which is just open play for all ages so our 1 year old can also come and she loves it too. They have classes for all ages. My sons loved my gym! I hosted my son's 7th birthday party there this past weekend, and everything was perfect. The staff was amazing! They were incredibly helpful from the beginning, assisting with planning, setting up, and decorating. They interacted wonderfully with the kids, who all had an incredible time. My son is autistic, non-verbal, and often elopes, so I was nervous about having his party in a public place. However, everyone at the gym was extremely understanding and accommodating. This was definitely a birthday to remember! We will absolutely be back! First timers here and my little ones had a blast! The coaches, Ellen and Daniel work so well with these little ones and made us feel more than welcomed. I had signed up my son for the terrific tots class and he was excited to try out these new activities! Kids will love it if their first time and they like to spend the energy jumping, running around. They get to learn to socialize, share and observe the different activities thereby learning on how to do it the next time. I really wanted to like this gym but it was not a good fit for my child. My child (3.7) has been in gymnastics for one year elsewhere without incident and on the second visit at this gym he fell and busted his mouth and front teeth (he now has a wiggly tooth that is lower than it used to be, and Im hoping it doesn't fall out) on the balance beam with a staff person right next to him. I can't say exactly what happened, because I only witnessed the staff with him, not the fall. I saw that she was next to him but not facing him and therefore not looking at him to be able to see him lose his balance. I know accidents happen that can be out of our control, however this particular incident is not one of them. In addition she sat him on a tall wooden "box" that was raised off the ground as he was in distress and bleeding and left him unattended as she went to the back for an ice pack. He could have fallen off that "box" if he decided to come down. I did run over when I saw her sit him there and I realized he was crying and his mouth full of blood. I did receive a text later that day and a phone call a 2 days later to follow up on him. Nothing can be said that would make the situation better. I do hope that the owner will review the incident with the staff member so it doesn't happen again to another child. On another note, I noticed the curriculum at this gym does differ greatly from the gymnastics classes we have experienced. Usually the classes we have attended in the past consist of a fun warmup, followed by routines on a course the coach has prepared. The coach models the routines and then the kids try it with support whether from parent or the coach. Mygym has some activities like match the color ball to the correct color circle. Then they sit in circle and chat - I could not fully understand what the game or chat was since I was sitting far. There were kids who strayed to do other things by themselves such as climbing the wall ladder etc and they had NO SUPERVISION while doing so. I think that class is too big for this age group (3.6 months to 5yr 11 months) and there are only 2 staff to attend to the kids. In looking through the "about us" section there was NO reference to actual experience/ training with gymnastics from the staff members. I should have researched better but also I feel misled since they literally say they teach "basic forms of gymnastics." The only pro of my gym is the ease of using their online booking system. If you are looking for a safe and professional place for your child to learn actual gymnastics look elsewhere read more

Jahday and her sister were phenomenal, not only could we not have asked for more but our guests were so impressed by the two of them. His party was everything I wanted it to be, and I absolutely loved that he got to join in and have fun with the rest of the kids and we all got to sit back and enjoy watching them have a great time. We'd only been going to the gym for 2 months before they switched to online live classes to accommodate the stay at home orders and we still love it! They have a broad range of classes and their monthly price is reasonable. Each class has the same basic format. Every class has a different group of activities to help with motor skill and development. We've been coming for several months and there is always something different. My daughter has been attending My Gym LaVern for the past four months and we've loved every minute of it. We actually started off at a different MyGym location when my daughter was younger, but we weren't very happy there -- the energy of the parents attending class was a bit negative. Well, I'm sure happy we decided to give MyGym another go, because all the staff and all the parents and kiddos attending this location is beyond nice, happy, and full of fun, energetic energy. In all honesty, I was a bit hesitant about signing up here at first due to some of the less-than-stellar reviews regarding cancellation, but my experience canceling has been quite the opposite. I submitted my 30 day request via email and that was it, so simple! I quickly got a response to verify my cancellation and details regarding my final class. I appreciated how quick and easy and efficient the whole process was (and in case you're wondering, we are sadly quitting because my daughter is starting preschool). Lastly, a big shoutout to Coach Ellen. Don't get me wrong, all the coaches here are amazing, but Ellen is definitely special when it comes to working with toddlers. She's funny, full of energy, and knows when to push or walk away from a toddler having a difficult day. She's seriously the best! read more

They are the best, I've been taking my son here since he was just over a year old. I wish I had brought him sooner, then I think he would have learned how to walk earlier by watching the other kids. We come both for a weekly class and for a few of the open play ("practice & play") sessions during the week. I love how they change the arrangement of the space every week, keeps it fresh and exciting for the kids. The employees are very attentive but not overbearing, they let the kids be kids. BEWARE! This gym is NOT clear about pricing, sneaky in their tactics and DO NOT put the customer first; quite the business model! Prices rise without notice from an "introductory offer", they have a "30 day cancelation policy", and it seems the so-called "management" can never issue a refund. It seems these people are more interested in milking every cent they can out of a customer instead of putting the customer first. Very unfortunate but one day when their doors are closed they will realize that customers are the backbone of ANY business. Besides their crappy business ethics the place is clean, has nice staff (except "managers") and a decent set up. Just remember, their are plenty of places your child can go to play that are probably just as fun/nice that are FREE and are not just concerned about getting your money. read more

My Gym has been a wonderful experience for all three of my children. We have been at the gym in La Verne since my middle child was 2.5 and started Little Learners, their preschool program. I was going to move him year before kindergarten so we could secure a spot over at the private school but we loved the gyms program so much and my son was learning so much from the wonderful loving teachers that we kept him there :) He was qualified to graduate kindergarten before he even started! My littlest guy started in the Bundles class when he was 4 weeks old. It was a great way to meet other moms and we also learned infant massage. He is now in the Little Learners program and about to graduate and move on to kindergarten. I'm going to miss the girls and guys who work at the gym dearly but we will have both boys in summer programs and camps. Everything is always well thought out and the kid to adult ratios are always great. My oldest daughter was allowed to volunteer in the summer programs her freshmen and sophomore year. This was a great experience for her as a service project and helped her learn to ways of the gym. Overall I can't recommend another preschool more highly. I love all the teachers and staff! Oh and Kids Night Out is the best thing ever for date nights ;) You send your kids to the gym and get to have some adult time on a Friday night! read more

I put my daughter in My Gym at the age of 1 1/2 in the Waddlers program , absolutely loved the classes and Coaches...especially Coach Ellen . She is so attentive along with the other staff. My daughter is now 2 yrs old in the siblings class and her motor skills have only been growing along with her interaction with other kids.
