It is magical, beautiful and a super special…read moreplace for littles (and their families, too). ***Please don't be alarmed by all the old reviews from 5 plus years ago. I've heard that LVPPP was indeed a very different school back then! Totally different leadership and teachers.*** First off, a little background on me- I have a degree in childhood development and early education, but first and foremost, I am a parent. And I want to be as involved and connected with my child's life as much as possible. I also fully understand that every child and every family's needs are different. So for us, LVPPP was an ideal fit and we are so happy with our decision to send our daughter there. This preschool fulfills all my wants and prayers for my child's first school experiences outside of our home. Some main highlights: 1. Teachers who are loving, nurturing and care about every single child's life and sees them as whole individuals and unique. My daughter absolutely LOVES her teacher and that's saying a lot for a child who is extremely attached to her mother and has separation anxiety. LVPPP teachers help prepare children and their parents for the transition being "away" from their families for a few hours at a time. They are so patient, so empathetic and really take the time to honor each child's feelings and individuality while modeling cooperation, co-regulation and communication. It is a very warm and home-like environment. 2. Community of caregivers, parents, families who all are working together for the school and the children. LVPPP is a co-op school and is part of the California Council of Parent Participation Nursery Schools, which is a network of organized co-ops focused on the principle that the best education will result from an active partnership among parents, teachers, and children. Being a volunteer in my child's classroom 2-3 times a month really has allowed me to get to know the people who actually see my child- I know the teachers very well and also know every single parent and child closely, much like extended family. We have playdates and help watch each others children outside of school as a result, and this has been invaluable benefit being part of this school- where lifelong relationships are fostered. 3. Child-directed, PLAY and inquiry based learning philosophy. PLAY is the work of the child. LVPPP is Reggio Emilia inspired and we love that. It follows my child's natural curiosity and focused on the process versus end product in learning and development. LVPPP's director is extremely knowledgeable and passionate in this area and empowers both students and families to be active agents in their environment. The environment is set up to invite play and exploration. Children engage in messy play, engage all their senses, challenge their fine and gross motor skills, and really tinker and experiment in open-ended play. There's also a big emphasis on social emotional development and regulation. The campus itself is beautiful and every detail has been well thought out to provoke exploration, discussion and creativity. 4. It's a non-profit that's trying to serve the community, providing high quality early childhood education to families in the area. It strives to be very accessible, diverse, inclusive and welcoming to all. All backgrounds are celebrated and family structures. I appreciate the fact that the tuition is quite reasonable and allows families from various levels of means still be able to access a preschool with the bells and whistles you may find at higher end preschools, but it's due to the joint effort of hard work that the families and teachers have contributed from their own time, effort and dedication to make the school what it is. 5. Health and safety is taken seriously especially during this COVID era. The director and leadership stay atop local health authority recommendations and goes above based on the input of the families and what they're comfortable with. We have been very happy with the pragmatic approach that LVPPP takes in trying to ensure the students stay healthy but also understanding that nothing is perfectly avoidable.

From day one, the staff has shown so much warmth, patience, and dedication. It's clear they genuinely care about each and every child, and they create an environment where kids feel safe, supported, and excited to learn. One of the things that stands out most is how **flexible** they are with scheduling. As long as you give them a week's notice, they are more than willing to work with you--something that's been a lifesaver for our family's ever-changing routine. Our children are thriving here. They're not just being cared for--they're **learning, growing, and building confidence** every day. We've seen such a positive difference in their development, and it's amazing to watch them come home happy and eager to share what they've learned. **Special shoutout to Ms. Monique**--she was a lifesaver during the potty training phase with our son. We were feeling so frustrated, and her patience, encouragement, and consistency made all the difference. We can't thank her enough! We truly can't recommend Bright Beginnings highly enough. If you're looking for a preschool that blends caring staff, thoughtful structure, and a fun, educational environment, this is it!

Our family has appreciated the excellent care our kids have received for nearly nine years. The teachers are warm and caring, and develop strong relationships with the children. Kristy, who has been running ECC for many years as the director, is responsive, attentive and a pleasure to work with. ECC teachers enjoy the work they do, and plan engaging and enriching activities. They do lots of age appropriate activities every day: arts and crafts, singing, reading stories, outside/inside free play, walks, circle time where they focus on letter and number recognition and for the older preschool classes Spanish Circle. There's a good mix of activities and my kids have had fun while developing skills that prepare them well for the transition to kindergarten. I'd highly recommend ECC to any parents looking for daycare or preschool for their kids. They do a fantastic job and create a warm, welcoming and caring environment for the kids and parents alike.

Ms. Elin was my son's Pre-K teacher, and he absolutely adores her. Under her guidance, he learned all the alphabets, shapes, and colors, and can now count to 20 -- skills I know are often taught in TK. Beyond academics, Ms. Elin always incorporated fun, engaging activities that the kids loved. She also helped my son become more independent with eating, which was something he really needed encouragement in. In the afternoons, when Ms. Elin left, other wonderful teachers stepped in to provide care -- Ms. Silvia, Ms. Christine, Ms. Mary, Ms. Marie and Ms. Nour. My son knows and loves them all. When I once asked my son if there was any teacher he liked the least, his answer was, "no," which says it all!) Last but certainly not least, Ms. Virgine is an incredible director. My son was both a Covid baby (super shy) and a preemie, so I had extra concerns as a first-time mom. One of the main reasons I chose LPG was the smaller class sizes, so he wouldn't be overwhelmed. I was nervous at first, but my worries quickly faded as I watched him grow and thrive. By the time he graduated, he not only had friends in his own class but also knew the names of kids from other classes. I am genuinely grateful to everyone at LPG for giving my son such a memorable preschool experience. You truly can't put a price on that!

The teachers here are truly wonderful. They are warm, caring, patient, and so loving with the children. My son is looked after extremely well every single day -- far better than many other preschools we've seen. Their communication is excellent. The teachers share daily updates, photos, and videos, which gives me so much peace of mind. They also respond very quickly whenever I message them. They take amazing care of each child's needs. If my son doesn't eat well during lunch, they will gently try again after nap time. And since he started here, he has never had diaper rash -- which shows how attentive and careful the teachers are. This preschool truly goes above and beyond. We feel very grateful to have found this place, and I highly recommend Learn, Play & Grow Preschool to any family looking for a safe, loving, and supportive environment for their child.

He adores his teachers and looks forward to coming every day. He has a big personality that can sometimes be a lot for adults, but the teachers here are incredibly patient, kind, and understanding. They've helped him learn independence while also showing compassion and guiding him to slow down when needed. Ms. Fameeda, the director, is outstanding. She not only checks in with us regularly but also makes my son feel special by letting him be her little helper. When we were expecting our second child, she went above and beyond to support him in adjusting to the idea of becoming a big brother--working at his pace so he never felt overwhelmed. The teachers are wonderful--caring, funny, and always communicative. He especially loves Ms. Tami and thinks it would be the coolest thing to hang out with her outside of school (he doesn't, but the thought makes him so happy!). The school also does a fantastic job of creating community. They host the sweetest holiday events, where the kids get to perform and celebrate--it's always adorable to watch. They also hold parent-teacher conferences to keep us updated on progress, and they were a huge help with potty training too. Overall, I couldn't recommend this school more. The environment, the staff, and the care they provide are unmatched. We're excited for our 6-month-old to join once he's old enough, because we know he'll be just as loved and supported as his big brother.

She genuinely cares about the kids and their long-term success, not just what they're doing day to day. The teachers are also great--patient and kind. What I really like is the community feeling. My older daughter made friends here that she's still in touch with, and now their younger siblings are classmates with my younger one. It feels like a big extended family. The Montessori style is a big plus. It's not just about the academics--it's about sparking curiosity and independence. I saw that with my 6-year-old, and now again with my 2-year-old. The first thing I noticed that it was an old building and it had this very heavy musty smell. I was double masked and the smell was really strong. This could be a sign of mold, mildew, things like that. Who knows? But, if I was a parent, I wouldn't want my child smelling this all day. The second thing is, in the infant room. I saw the teacher holding an infant and rocking them to sleep. I also saw one toodler just playing by himself. He was just climbing on a foam and making eye contact at us as well. That poor kid, I thought. There were no other kids to play with him. He didn't seem like he was having fun. Well, on the plus side...there'll be less chances to get sick since it's at low capacity right now. This is understandable since they're quite short staff. Tuition is $310 a week for full time and $185 for full 2 days. They close at 4:30pm. You provide your own food. The playground has shade over it, which is nice. It's great that it's very convenient for me, but also I wouldn't want my child to not be very happy here being that there's only one other kid here. I do like that they warm up the cow milk for you. I also like their sleeping layout. But, I'll definitely be touring more places before deciding!
