I ordered take out from this location on August 14 while my family and I were on vacation. Three of our items were raw when we ate them; chicken fingers, buffalo bites, and fried shrimp. My three year old nephew and I bite into this raw chicken finger. I called multiple times about a refund. Was told a refund was submitted to someone who does the refunds. Haven't received any type of refund. Now when you call the location is closed until further notice. Also waited an extra 20 minutes in the restaurant after my food was supposed to be ready from the order pickup time.

Stopped on Sunday morning and it was a pleasantly surprising amazing breakfast! It's small and quiet but had a spot for us right away. It's across the street from the water so it's be great for a to go order too. The staff were very friendly and took our order right away. The portions are pretty big at a great price and the food all was very good. I got the big breakfast and it was in fact big. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the waffle was large and the home fries (extra crispy) were very good. Their wings were a good size with great crispy outside. Definitely recommended!

The best thing about this place is that you can take it to go and walk across for some killer water views. Now..what do pizza and pancakes have in common? ABSOLUTELY N-O-T-H-I-N-G! Seriously. This is the worst mix ever. Super confusing. Confusing menu. So many options but you're not really sure what they're good for. Naturally pizza is one of them and you can never go wrong with pizza, right? Pizza was fine. Just grabbed a couple slices to go. I would NEVER dine here. Covid or not. The ambiance is not appealing at all. You have a killer view outside with a vibe killer inside. A menu so large you get lost. It's basically a diner? But a pizzeria? But a pub? But you eat here? So you can get spaghetti and meatballs? I think? But also chicken and waffles type of thing. Super confusing. Not my fave. At all. What's also not my fave is the fact that they have a plexi glass to protect themselves from us (while we're wearing masks) and masks ARE required but apparently not for employees. Hmm..also super confusing. The person that helped me had no mask on, no gloves, yet she was handling our food. As i peeked to the kitchen, several people were not wearing masks. SUCH A TURN OFF. When I went to leave I decided to grab myself a little to go container of hot pepper flakes (that was never offered to me nor did I want her to handle it after touching her face and my card and the register while wearing no mask). I was abruptly stopped while she said well you know "covid" as she's there without a mask and I am. Funny. Lol. Anyways. This place is probably the only place open. And yes you can have many options of food. Not exactly sure I'd come back here but give it a try YOU might actually like it.

Very disappointed with my meal, I had to dish out my plate that I got for delivery and cut the broccoli. The stalks were huge and tough and the chicken was just big chunks. Bet very happy . Very good taste though!

nice hot greasy oily pepperoni pizza with a soft, easy crust. just the way it should be lol

Good food at great prices. Pizza is constantly good and there is a lot more on the menu. Try it for breakfast too.

Outdoor dining in the summer is perfect. Food is consistently delicious. For Valentines Day they had a regular menu and a special menu so you weren't forced into expensive food. Didn't have a reservation but it was the middle of the afternoon so we were able to get a table right away. We were sat in a back room which is part of the dining room. It was a little small but it appeared that there was another dining area downstairs. Bernie was our server and super nice. She quickly came over with breadsticks which was a happy surprise! We ended up splitting the Gorgonzola Stuffed Figs -- small bits for sure, but good for sharing. We also ordered the baked clams oreganata which was my favorite. I typically don't go out of my way for a Cosmo but started out with Ceil's Pear Cosmo - it was SO good. For dessert, I ordered their Valentine's special which was a Chocolate Covered Strawberry Martini. This didn't hit the mark for me with the strawberry chunks. I wish I had ordered another pear Cosmo. Savona's was not the overall vibe I wanted for Valentine's Day dinner so I am glad we came here the day after for lunch. This would be a great place for a big family dinner! Wait staff including Bernie were all super friendly.

Our table was in the same room as the bar but next to the fireplace. The bar doesn't have actual seating - they have tables in front of it which is nice and keeps the intimate, moody quiet vibe. It definitely had a romantic vibe with the fire, the lighting and lots of flowers throughout hanging from the ceiling. My only complaint is that there was a table with kids who were pretty noisy in the beginning. Not exactly what I was expecting for my Valentine's Day dinner but that's what I get for an early dinner! The food was excellent overall. We had a sense of what we wanted but then the server came over and told us the specials which threw us for a loop! I was dead set on getting pasta because Feast & Floret is known for their homemade pasta but we ended up ordering a few different plates: Quail Special - This was my first time ever having quail. The plate came out with 2 whole birds and to say I wasn't nervous would be a lie. It was a little salty (not sure if maybe it should be) but tender and delicious. It came with creamed Kale and nuts. Chilled Beets with Mint - Weird having with a hot meal but still so good. Butternut Squash Arancini -- A must try. You can taste a hint of butternut squash. It wasn't too overpowering. Affogato - The simplest dessert on the menu but worth it. Regarding drinks, try their Honey Old Fashioned. I'm not a whiskey drinker but always try my girlfriend's drink when we go out. Their Honey Old Fashioned was so good that it made me want to order one for myself! Feast & Floret also sells their own honey. Before we left to get to the show, I had asked about making our own bouquet. Grace, the florist, allowed us to pick what we liked and she arranged our bouquet

Ate a quick breakfast at The Athens Rooster this weekend (01/13/2024)…read more Cockadoodledoo! This out of the way corner cafe in Upstate Athens is very homey, open, clean, welcoming and has lots of off beat offerings that a regular passer by would not necessarily expect. It has big windows. For one, they hotly cook-up pizzettes, hot and very flavorful sandwiches, soups, coffees and tea. Right next to the register is a clear glass window box with all sorts of scrumptious sweets, muffins, cakes, tarts, choco donuts and cupcakes - that are made each day, I might add. The display is quaint and spot-on and each dessert is elevated on a tiny cake platter on a doily. Next, all the menu boards (above the counter and to the side) are easily legible, for elderly too. The menu that was handed to me was also not too complicated (2 sides) and was laminated, to avoid Covid. The staff was professional, bouncy (music), well prepared for groups that came and friendly. Some staff even remembered what some of the elderly in line wanted, before they ordered. How is that for manners and style?! Go kick rocks down an alley Starbucks! Lastly - the food and drinks here are simply very outstanding. I do not say that often. My cheese panini-style sandwich had layers of molten and hot cheeses, seared onions and somewhere in that mass also herbs and some dark mustard! It was scrumptious. They serve other classics like turkey, salami, ham sandwiches (some already wrapped for quick sale and go). The Athens Rooster is off the beaten (egg?), no track; (just kidding) but the parking is easy, there are lots of seats and even just simply placing (it's a small gesture, for sure - but chefs like me take note) a large jug full of free lemon water with clean cups on the bar counter at the front, really: makes all the visitors days. Cafe go-ers love those water jugs. Believe me! The Athens Rooster is a well maintained, bright and friendly late breakfast and late lunch spot. The grilled cheese and coffee stayed hot longer than 15 minutes after the sale. Very delicious! Top notch cafe - expertly prepared cuisine. Review: 5+
