James and Kimber are A+. In this day and age where it's almost impossible to get contractors and handymen to respond, Stellar Garage was unique in that sense. They pick up the phone, they follow through, and do what they say they'll do at the time they say. James showed up on time and installed two overhead storage units I had previously purchased without any problems. He was very professional and did a great job! I will recommend them to everyone. read more

The process was simple and easy. They installed both racks in a couple of hours. I would strongly recommend them.

This is the second home we asked James to work on. James is a master technician that takes his time, doing things right. We are extremely happy with the three racks that were installed. The product is well worth the price and we will fill them quickly when our move is complete. Give Stellar Garage a call, you will not be disappointed. BTW, Kimber (James' better half) sets up the appointments and keeps you informed until it is go time. Professional, reliable & personable. read more

If you are looking for someone to install overhead storage or epoxy, look no further. James is the real deal. He does all the work himself. He doesnt outsource any of the work. He's honest, timely and does it the right way the first time. Price was good as well. I waited a few month to make sure the floors held up.... perfect. Heavy traffic in and out of the garage everyday... no problem for this epoxy. He even does a moisture test on the floor to make sure he uses the right epoxy. read more

Can't say enough great things about Kimber and James! Our home did not close on the projected date and we had to reschedule and Kimber was very understanding. When we finally were able to close, James worked tirelessly to put up our garage racks. We had originally planned to buy two 4x8s but added a third when James explained how it would all fit and showed us how it would work well with our space without blocking light. He placed nails where the racks would go and showed us for approval before he started installing. Any holes not being used were filled in. I thought that was very cool. James is an amazing craftsman and so very friendly and polite. He knows his business! Great prices and great work! read more

James recently installed a ceiling rack in our garage. He was punctual and professional. The rack was of high quality and it did not take him long. Very personable and detailed. He even asked for input where we wanted to install it and gave us some good ideas prior to installation. Very pleasant guy. We will definitely call again if we need more work done in our garage. Both Kimber and James were first class to deal with. I was given their name by a 2x customer. If you use someone a 2nd time you believe in them, therefore I called. I understand using Stellar Garage again, they performed exceptionally. Kimber understood my needs and relayed everything accurately to James. James showed up prepared late on a Friday afternoon to get started and allow me to do some "clean up" over the weekend. Thanks. He returned as scheduled the following week to complete the job. Clean, neat, timely, reasonable, job well done. read more

James just completed installing two ceiling storage units in my Rancho Mirage garage. The workmanship is beautiful! Not only does the installation and the framework look flawless - he left the job site cleaner than when he got there. Thank you James! We were lucky enough to get a referral from a neighbor for Stellar Garage, and we could not be happier with their service and quality craftsmanship. We had 3 4'x8' ceiling racks installed in our garage, which are much sturdier (and better looking) than the ones we originally purchased from a big box home improvement store. Our experience with Stellar Garage began with a friendly call to Kimber. She was very pleasant and extremely professional in her communication and follow-up (rare these days with home improvement companies). James and Cody showed up on time and made the installation process easy and painless. It is clear they take pride in their work and want to make sure their clients are satisfied. We initially discussed the placement of the 3 racks and James had helpful suggestions on where to place them and why. Upon agreement of the placement, they "mocked up" the rack spacing on the ceiling so that we could visualize just how big the racks are and the spacing available for loading them. The installation was completed quickly and there was no mess left behind. The pricing was extremely reasonable, as we had received bids from other companies and Stellar Garage's bid was by far the lowest. We view the price as an added bonus, the real reason to choose this company is the quality of their products and services. Kimber, James, and Cody . . . thank you, it was a pleasure doing business with you! read more

James was great. Called on his way so we knew he was coming. I needed some more storage space in the new garage we had remodeled. Couldn't possibly be happier with James' work. I had looked into several affordable racks online so I had an idea of what was out there. What James installed far, far exceeded what I had shopped for and had in mind. The rack is awesome. Looks great, and he was able to fit a slightly larger one than what I originally thought. For this project I'm so incredibly glad I didn't decide to "do it myself." For the quality, his price can't possibly be beat either. Do yourself a favor and get him to do this for you. read more

After reading all the stellar reviews on this business, I decided to give them a try. I couldn't be more pleased with this husband-wife team. First, Jim arrived punctually at my condo. Second, the shelves are excellent, solid, and sturdy. He took an extra 15 minutes helping me decide the best location in the garage for the shelf, which would have worn anyone else's patience thin. So if you want to support a small independent local business and get the best value to boot, then call Stellar Garage Storage. By the way, I seldom review a business but wanted to help these reputable folks. read more

5 Star Service. When I called the first time, Kimber was kind and thorough about answering all my questions. We agreed on pricing and a few days later they were out to us for installation. Just had two 4x8 storage racks put up in the garage. Nice and sturdy!! Had been fluctuating a little between times because of a couple prior appointments he had, but James was prompt for the last time we were given. Made the appointment prior to the holidays but never received a confirmation call (something I prefer). I called a couple hours prior and that's when I was told an approximate time (wife runs the calls). She had been quite pleasant prior, but was CLEARLY very annoyed when we weren't at home when he got there (had to run out and admittedly failed to call and let them know, though we were given a little window to work with). Was concerned and feeling very bad heading home because of how upset she sounded, but James was the complete opposite - phew! He was very professional, providing great suggestions of where and which racks to put in, which we really appreciated as we were wavering. He was also super nice and personable. Prices were comparable to others we had called. Racks seem very sturdy (petite female, but I was able to hang on them with no problem). The racks (4x8) ended up bigger than we had envisioned, and James was super nice, helpful, and supportive in whether we wanted to stick with two 4x8's or do one 4x8 and one 4x4. We appreciated that as we were making a possible last minute switch. All worked out though! Only issue, we had requested gray. Other places were charging more for gray, but when she said they were same price - great! Problem: they aren't gray. The rack bottoms are technically gray because they're galvanized steel, but the rails/bracing/sides all around (sorry for improper terms) are all white, so really, the racks appear white. Went on to their site afterward and found pictures of all gray racks, so not sure why we didn't get what we requested. Was already evening by the time he came and we just wanted it done. That said, no biggie to us after all, they blend in with the white walls of the garage anyway. Just make sure you emphasize what color you want so you get it done properly! So aside from that (which really is a big deal and usually we'd be a lot more annoyed and probably would have cancelled the service) and the attitude I got tonight from the wife, all is good. This last part has made me waver between 4 & 5 stars...Giving the 5 because of the good work done. Very happy with the service and work that James provided and would definitely both recommend him and return for future work. read more

After seeing an advertisement in a local magazine, I contacted James and Kimber at Stellar Garage Storage. Less than a week later, James installed two 4' by 8' upper storage units. He made sure they were to code, which meant cutting each to the proper specs. The results were even better than I imagined. Hopefully, they still have their Holiday Special available. $598 included everything, including the tax, parts, installation, etc. for two solid 4 by 8 units. James and Kimber are a pleasure to deal with. They keep you informed as to time and what the process will be. I will always use this company for any storage needs! read more
