We are so grateful to Stephens Brothers Construction for helping us build our backyard pool house. The quality of their work speaks for itself, and seeing their projects on Instagram gave us confidence from the start. In person, we were even more impressed by their care, precision, and attention to detail. They helped us get our foundation poured and ready to go quickly. They showed up on time, worked hard, kept the site remarkably clean, and helped us navigate Riverside County permits and inspections. Even though we didn't hire them for every stage of the build, they continued to answer our questions and stop by to check on our progress. That meant a lot to us. We could not have done our project without their help. They were kind enough to refer their subcontractors to is- so we could do our project as an owner builder. We wish we would have hired them to build the entire project. It would have been done so much sooner! Jeff and Joe are wonderful to work with. They both are extremely knowledgeable with all aspects of Construction on any project. They all know their stuff! Especially building things to code and navigating permits.. Zach is an incredibly hard worker, a true jack of all trades. He can do any job, and Mike is a legend--we were amazed by his energy and how much he gets done. The whole team is personable, honest, and clearly passionate about their work. They began our project without a deposit, and we paid only after their work was complete and we were satisfied. It can be hard to find contractors you trust, but we would gladly welcome this team back for any work on our home or yard. We felt lucky to have them involved in our project and highly recommend them. You won't have to micromanage this crew Or worry about anything. They will do the job well, keep things moving forward, pass inspections, and complete the job on time. No surprise costs or change orders. We are looking forward to having them remodel our kitchen in the future. We have worked with many contractors over the years and these guys are by far the BEST. They stand behind any work that they do and they always make everything better than they found it. Literally no mistakes with their work. Extremely satisfied customers! You will not regret hiring them! We only regret not meeting them sooner and using them to build our past projects. They would have saved us time and money! The lumber order was perfect too! No extra materials. read more

We recently hired Stephens Bros Construction to turn our dining room and powder room into a complete mother-in-law suite (bedroom and full bathroom with a shower), and I cannot say enough good things about them! Here is why they easily earn 5 stars: -Super Fast: From start to finish, the entire project only took about three weeks. The speed and efficiency were amazing given the scale of the job. -Wonderful Crew: The Stephens Bros team and all of their subcontractors were absolute pleasures to have around. They are honest, upfront, hardworking, and genuine people. - Respectful of Family Life: We have small kids, and the crew went out of their way to always warn us before they started using loud tools. -Great Problem Solvers: Like any major remodel, there were a few unexpected challenges along the way, but they tackled everything with confidence. If I had one tiny piece of constructive feedback, it's that I wish the documentation breaking down the individual costs of things had been a bit more detailed. However, they are a five star company! read more

We are currently using Stephen's Brothers Construction to build an ADU in our backyard. I watched them through social media for about 2 years before we called them, and so happy we did! We have been extremely impressed with Joe, Jeff and their whole crew! We could not have made a better choice in choosing Stephen's Brothers! The communication has been awesome the entire process! They are always on time, very hands on and thorough! We really appreciate how clean of a job site they've kept! They are super knowledgeable and always explain everything going on! I cannot say enough great things about them, and cannot wait to see this finished project ! read more

I work with many of the general contractors in our local area, and the Stephens Brothers are the absolute top-notch cream of the crop. They are the only ones that are actually organized and put out the work on time. They are honest and give you honest feedback. We LOVE OUR ADU!! We reached out to the Stephens Brothers after an experience had gone awry with a different ADU "specialist". The Stephens Brothers listened, understood our vision, were upfront, and explanatory. They really put the wind back in our sails, their work ethic and commitment to quality are second to none!! They are customer focused, communicative and solution oriented. Our only regret is that we did not reach out to the Stephens Brothers before we initially started the ADU process. Attention to detail and craftsmanship is in their DNA and we look forward to working with them again in remodeling our primary home. Yolanda & Duane T. read more

Wanted to move out of our house and get into Meadowview or Fallbrook- something with property... but with the market where it is, interest rates... and someone telling me "invest in your home- you won't be disappointed, and you'll appreciate your home..." Without a doubt the BEST experience during our Kitchen Remodel. The level of professionalism, communication, and project completion is better than any contractor experience I have ever been involved with. I say it from watching them on IG- QUALITY, QUALITY, QUALITY!!!!! I have been following these guys on Instagram for years, there work is amazing. I share their stories when I see people interested in remodels, and for the first time in my own life- we had the opportunity to pursue a remodel of our own. While I feel corny the photos are from their IG, I don't know a better way to show you the before and after photos. I highly recommend seeing yourself (link to our remodel from their IG below). Things we had done: - All new flooring (vinyl) and base boards (white) - Tore out all old cabinets & high-top counter - Had new cabinet installed to ceiling (so much new space) - Kept all same appliances, but purchased a drawer microwave now hidden, and replaced with luxurious hood vent - Added a wine fridge (half wine/half fitaid/fitness drinks lol) - Quartzite Counters (Mont Blanc) & Backsplash - Replaced high-top counter with Waterfall counter - Black Farmer Sink with gold faucet - Gold Handles - All cabinets/drawers have soft-self-close features - All lights updated to LEDs - Added a "junk counter" next to our double oven that is now out of site and collects our wallets, keys, etc without taking up kitchen space I'm sure I'm missing features/changes-- but we can't thank the Stephens Brothers team enough. Joe and Jeff are awesome, and they take pride in who works with them, as well as what subs they use. Jeff was in constant communication. Made the process simple- gave us a list of things we needed to decide on and simple as that! Oh-- and it was 7 business days for everything!!! When we are ready to do the bathroom next, you know damn well who we're calling! Link to remodel: https://www.instagram.com/reel/C7AkIYUJogT/?igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== read more

In real eatate, we deal with lots of contractors and quite honestly, I have several that I love, but we had a really large project (for me anyway) that included moving a couple of sheer walls and my other buddies stepped back from it so I found my self asking for referrals. In walk the Stephen Brothers and not only did they take this on but they embraced the hell out of our project ! They had sleepless nights wanting to make sure their decisions were the right ones, down to even 2nd guessing the structural engineer until he could come by and confirm some things ! They do it right, do not take short cuts and are in this business for the long game ! They are an incredible group of men! Honorable, high integrity, crazy work ethic and have a great deal of attention to detail !! They are notthe cheapest but when something is this good, it's worth paying for it !! We look forward to working with them again and highly recommend them !! read more

Excellent construction services from start to finish! We recently had the pleasure of working with the Stephens Brothers on a major renovation project. (Our entire home had to be redone due to a fire) We couldn't be more satisfied with the results from the initial consultation to the final walk-through. Their team demonstrated exceptional professionalism, skill, and dedication. Jeff and Joe are highly knowledgeable and kept us informed at every stage, ensuring that our vision was brought to life exactly as we had imagine. The craftsman were punctual, courteous, and exhibited outstanding attention to detail. They went above and beyond to ensure that the work was completed in a timely manner. Stephens Brothers Construction - Kitchen - General Contractors Near Me - Murrieta, California

I highly recommend Stephens Brothers! Don't let those tattooed faces fool you these guys know what they are doing. We chose them based on the fact that during our estimate they knew the answers to all of our questions and concerns with building our ADU. There estimate also was one of the better ones as far as price and was more detailed then the others. The hardest part of the whole process was waiting on the city for approval and permitting which is out of there hands and they had communicated that with us and this would be the case. There communication was acceptable to me during the almost 1 year it took for the city process, you have to remember it's out of there hands and these guys are super busy with projects that are already under way and in the building process. Once the permits were approved and building could start these guys are all over it, I was a little worried about them having only a 4 man crew but these guys are so efficient with there planning and building and there communication during the build was excellent the time frame for our build was about 3 months to completion and we had issues on materials due to these crazy times and they were still able to complete it in the timeframe we had talked about. The thing I like most about Stephens Brothers Construction is there finishes, there trim work and attention to the details are the best I have seen. I want to add that the biggest worry most people have including myself with contractors is money, believe it or not this was not the case with them. They stuck to there payment schedule and never asked for advance on payment and to be honest most the time I had to chase them around my yard and make them take my check. You can tell they pay there bills and subs because we never had any material issues from the suppliers and all there subs had nothing but great things to say about them, you can tell they have family like relationships with them. I should have wrote this review a lot sooner but I'm lazy. It has been a few months since our project with them has been completed and this morning I woke up to a water leak at the shut off valve for our ADU so I called them just for advice on what to do and within an hour Jeff was pulling up and digging up the front yard to help us out and see what happened. Let me say they are in the middle of building a retaining wall on another project so he left that to come help our family. This is a different level of caring for a customer let alone a past client. The issue ended up being a defective schedule 80 valve that split open from the water pressure so it's just a freak thing that happened. For them to come back and even just care is awesome and sparked my lazy ass to write a review and let others know how good they are at not only building during our project but also having my family's back when we are no longer clients! I Highly recommend Stephens Brothers Construction they will be the only contractor I higher from now on for any projects we have and also any projects my friends and family have. read more

We hired Jeff and Joe to do a room extension on our bottom floor room; we wanted to take square footage from the garage and create an in-law suite for my elderly parents. They did an AMAZING job! Everything from communicating to project scope was laid out and they were super meticulous about all the details such as painting, dry wall and electric. They always left the house clean and communicated exactly what time they would show up each day. It honestly was the best experience we've had with working with contractors! They're good guys and mean well! We would definitely hire them again and again for any project! read more

My wife and I can't thank Joe and Jeff enough for all they have done for us and our new home. Upon remodeling the house they discovered multiple problems that were significant from the original builder, which halted the remodel immediately. Being the honest, professional guys they are they let us know about these problems which in all honesty, most other contractors would have covered up and finished the job so they could get paid and let us worry about it later. It didn't matter to them that it was going to mess with their work schedule and they wouldn't have our project to work on as planned, they knew that it had to be fixed before we could continue with the original plan / remodel. This is where they really went above and beyond. When we needed to meet with other inspectors and "professionals", they met with them, on their time, on multiple occasions, and would often question and demand an explanation from these other companies to ensure we wouldn't be taken advantage of. I have since used them to remodel my office building as well and there are no two better guys that anyone could possibly use for any type of construction that may be needed. Oh, and their quality control is second to NONE. If you are considering any other company, I suggest you think twice. Use California Property Solutions and you will definitely not regret it! read more

Joe and Jeff came out to our house. We told them we needed to get the job done right away. We were needing this job done so we could sell the home, and we really needed to get it listed right away. They were very nice and seemed on top of it. I called and texted them 3 times within the next week with no response. The last text I sent they responded and said they would have the quote to us by the weekend. No quote arrived, so I called and texted multiple times again over the next week, saying we would have to choose someone else if we didn't hear from them, and that we liked them and really wanted to use them. We never heard from them again. We were very disappointed, and now out another month's mortgage since we were waiting for them to quote and do the job. read more

Earlier this year, I called Cal Prop Sol for estimate on cabinet and bathroom remodeling based on the positive reviews. They came out as scheduled and spent about an hour taking measurements and notes. They seemed sharp and said they would have the estimate in about a week, which was fine. I called after a week to let them know I was anxiously awaiting their bid. After another week I called again. I called another two times and then gave up. I don't understand a business not calling back even if it is just to say they can't do it. I am giving two starts for starting the process on time. Very disappointing. read more

When I bought my first home two years ago, Stephens Brothers (and dad!) did my remodel which included total demo of kitchen and bath, all new kitchen and bath, demo and clean up of tile flooring throughout, and removal and installation of a new wall to reconfigure the kitchen layout. They finished within the promised time frame despite it being the holiday season and a necessary pause for a roof repair after they discovered a serious leak. Jeff coached me through many decisions to make sure I was happy and stayed within budget. My friends and I installed the new LVP, baseboards and subway tile backsplash ourselves for a little cost saving, fun, and experience, and the guys were super supportive, offered us advice along the way, and generally cheered us on. Their subcontractors were so good and produced high quality work. Jeff was incredibly communicative with expectations and when people would be coming and going through the house for work, so there was never a surprise. Having heard horror stories about contractors and home remodeling, I couldn't help feeling like these guys took such good care of me. It was a great experience, and we kind of missed them when the job was done! I would only want to work with Stephens Brothers again. read more

We can not say enough good things about Joe and this company. They saved us from a very large mistake. Unfortunately, Trimworx is probably hit or miss. It took a few days to get through via a call to their voicemail and then an email via their business contact email. Samantha called me back a few days later and scheduled Joe (her brother in law) to come out to my home. Joe came out to bid on crown moulding, a built in wall unit and window casing. He was very young, polite and efficient. I received the written Estimate a couple days later via email and emailed back that I would like to go ahead and proceed with the work. Oddly enough, I did not get a response or a call to schedule. I sent another email to Samantha, and also phoned the office (there is only one phone number on the business cards, which appears to be a landline.) The calls go to voicemail every time. So here we are 2 weeks later and still no return call or email. How very odd to bid for work and then not have the professionalism to call back when the client wishes to schedule.. can't quite figure this one out? Anyhow - my guess is they are a very young company and have not quite figured out the "customer service" piece. I don't doubt their trim work would be of good quality if you are fortunate enough to have them follow through with you. read more

I have to be honest, when I contacted Joe and his team, I was a little apprehensive. Joe and his brother are young and heavily tattooed. I had received two bids and both were in the ballpark of each other. I really debated using Joe but then I decided to take a chance because he just makes you feel like he knows what he's doing and what he's talking about. Boy am I glad I did too. Joe and SFC construction did an amazing job on my new 650 sq. ft. Casita/Pool House. Even dealing with the NIGHTMARE that is the City of Murrieta. What a complete joke these people are. All they do is drag out the project and get in the way. What a shame! Joe was quick to provide a drawing design along with a detailed estimate. After a long and exhausting planning approval process, we were way behind schedule. Joe showed up the very next day and jumped on the job with an all out effort to complete the project on-time. He kept we well informed during the entire building process. He did not just assume that I wanted something a certain way, he asked detailed questions with a real interest in making sure we got exactly what we were looking for. His attention to detail is 2nd to none. A true perfectionist and craftsman. Joe accomplished everything "As Promised". On time and On Budget. There was ZERO nickel and diming involved. In the end, we got exactly what we asked for and what was promised. I'd be happy to recommend Joe on any job no matter the size. He and his crew are the real deal. Lastly, I'd like to comment on how Polite and Professional Joe and his crew are. They never made my wife feel uncomfortable while interacting with her when she was home alone. I wish I could say these same comments about all the contractors I have used in the past. Sure would have made my life a lot easier. In the end, I also learned a valuable lesson. "Never judge a book my its cover". Joe's tattoos through me off in the beginning but what a fool I would have been if that was all I had seen... read more
