Had a hallway to guest room and office that wanted to add a French door to provide that area some privacy when had visitors. Ordered a French door from Home Depot and had it delivered, the description said prehung but door came in three separate cartons. Needless to say it was not prehung as described, G had to router out hinges, drill out holes on each door for handles, then precisely put the frame together and assembly the doors. Was amazed of the experience and how methodical G worked to complete the job. He even left and opening above the door so that we could add a transom to allow more light into that area. I struggled on posting a review, but to save someone else money if they're doing doors, I felt like I should. I had put up a new door jamb as the old one had cracked from the weight of solid core doors and short screws that were used to install them. I had installed and leveled it, but didn't feel comfortable with the mortises for the hinges on the new door jamb. I've included photos of what was done. There was also an inch gap left at the top of the door, rather than the bottom, putting it at a different height than the other three doors in the hallway. The floor was also damaged by the multitool used to cut the shims. Super nice man, but I would have rather been told that it couldn't be done than have to restart from scratch. I guess I'll be doing it myself and using the door hinge jig I had to ensure they look clean and not having filler put on the black door hinges and screws. I felt obligated to pay once he came out, but if I do hire in the future for doors, it will be from a licensed, insured business that specializes in doors. read more
