So I recently got a Tesla and needed to find an electrician locally to get my home setup for home charging. Another house member already had a NEMA 14-50 outlet installed in our garage. But I needed a 2nd outlet. I created a Project here on Yelp and several contractors responded. However Jonny (electrician/owner) responded very quickly offering to come by the next day to discuss my intentions and provide a quote. I also of course had a 2nd contractor come by as well later in the day to do the same. While both were excellent, I appreciated Jonny's personable, down to earth attitude. He did not appear rushed and took the time to answer my questions and ensure that we were on the same page. He sent a quote to my phone within an hour of leaving. I scheduled him to come back and he offered to drop by the next morning. He installed outlet quickly and professionally. A few days later I decided that I also wanted to install a wall charger but outside of the garage to reach the car if I parked in my tandem space. I reached back out to him and asked if he minded coming back to discuss a new idea that I had. He responded quickly like usual and said he could come by later that day after another job he had had. When he arrived, again we went over the plan and he sent me his quote within an hour or so of leaving. I explained that I needed a couple days to figure out the day I would want him to perform the work as it was a bit more invasive. He said no problem and for me to take my time. Within the week, I reached out to him and asked when he would be available to come back to install the wall charger. He explained that he had a few jobs in the morning but could make time for me in the afternoon. He came back that afternoon performed the work, cleaned up, stayed a little after to test the wall charger to make sure all was working fine. After we discussed the project and have done some work, he promised to come back and finish the remaining work once I had the Strip lights. I made the full payment for the project as agreed. However, when it was time for him to come back and complete the work, he canceled the appointment with a valid reason. I had to reschedule the entire project for the next day. A week later, I tried contacting him several times, but there was no response. I even sent a text message asking for the status, to which he replied that coming back to my project for free is not his priority at the moment. Charged me for trouble shooting 2 time without giving me the truth reason why the system is not working. As someone who runs a business and values building trust with clients, I believe this kind of attitude is not acceptable. Seeing clients solely as dollar signs raises a red flag for me, and I do not appreciate being treated in such a manner. This experience serves as a lesson for me to not make full payment until the job has been completed. read more
