We were extremely excited to have 3T Fence install one fence in our backyard and three gates (one…read morein the backyard, one for our neighbor, and one in the front before our front door). We also had plans to use them again in the future for additional updates. The owner came out to provide a quote and discuss future projects. He was thorough, showed us all the available options, took precise measurements, and answered all of our questions--which we really appreciated. The fence between our neighbor and us was done very well, although they accidentally hit our neighbor's sprinkler line, which caused some flooding. Fortunately, they came back right away to repair it, which was great! Both our fence and our neighbor's, along with the gates, looked phenomenal and still do. The issue we're disappointed about is the gate before our front door. We originally requested a closed/slatted picket gate, but while we were out of town for the weekend, a solid vinyl gate was installed instead. Even though it wasn't what we asked for, we didn't mind the look of it. However, after about two weeks, it stopped latching properly unless the gate was physically lifted about an inch before closing. I emailed the company (since we have a warranty which is also a plus), and they responded quickly with a date and time to fix it. While the latch was fixed--which we're grateful for--the job was done very sloppily. When the worker left, my husband called 3T Fence to report the issue, since the workers are subcontracted. That specific worker called us back and said he would return to fix the appearance, but it's been a couple of months now and nothing has been done. We really do like this company, and the owner was great, but we're disappointed with the final appearance of the front gate--especially since it's the first thing people see when approaching our home. We also feel a bit uncomfortable following up again, since we already have multiple times but we did pay good money for this to be done correctly. The subcontractor was also not very professional, which my husband relayed to whoever answered the phone that day as soon as he left. While we're happy the latch works now, the workmanship is sloppy, and silver screws were used in some spots instead of black ones to match the rest of the hardware. We also came home last week to two screws on the floor... they somehow fell out of the gate and my husband had to put them back in. Mind you, we had this gate installed at the end of November 2024 and redone/fixed in February 2025.

Our two neighbors who share the property line were very happy to pay their respective 50% bills. I have to give props to the crew who showed up early on the scheduled work date and got things prepped quickly before the rest of the guys got there. On the first day, in extreme heat they completed nearly 80 feet of posts and privacy fencing. The remainder was done the following morning and they worked to early afternoon until it was 100% done, they had cleaned up and I had a chance to walk the fence and inspect it before paying our share of the bill.

I am also happy with how they routed my irrigation system. There are the occasional weeds growing through the weed guard, but I think that's inevitable. The bad: Most of the trees they planted ended up dying because they were planted incorrectly. All trees are on the same irrigation system that they routed, so they all received the same amount of water. 7/10 trees died. I pulled them out and saw that they didn't prepare the soil correctly and didn't spread the roots out after transplanting the trees. The ugly: The gate install was a complete disaster. They put the gate frame on backwards which cause the gate to have uncontrollable sagging. Also, the gate lock was put on backwards.

UPDATE 11/19/25: My neighbor wanted to replace the fence…read morebetween our yards using his fence guy but since we were splitting the cost I decided to call my fence guy (Dave the Fence Specialist) for a quote and to give him the opportunity to win the project. Just like the first project, Dave was extremely responsive and his quote ended up being much better than my neighbors fence guy. My neighbor also wanted to perfectly match the vinyl fence he had installed previously on the other side of his yard and Dave just took one look at a photo and instantly knew the brand name and color and was able to get that material while still honoring the quote. So we went with Dave. While Dave was completing the fence my neighbor was having some major renovation work done in his home and he had a lot of contractors out there at the same time. Daves work and professionalism impressed the other contractors who were out there too, so much so that my neighbor said they (the other contractors) plan on calling Dave for their fence work as well. That's how you know Dave is good - he's the contractor that other contractors call when they need fencing done! Thanks again Dave!
