All I can say is that Stef fixed my father in 30 minutes. My father is 85 years old and has been suffering from some pain in the left knee for over 10 years. As Stef put her hands on that knee, it was as if she knew exactly what to do: I guess, for what I know, it is about having the blood flowing back evenly in your body, and you got to unlock that part which is hindering that from happen (but I won't go further than that with my technical explanation...:). Wow, I just read the previous negative review and normally I don't write reviews, but I feel like I have to address this person's criticism. I've never had an issue making an appointment and she's willing to work with me to accommodate me. I've seen Stefania several times for her to work on my back pain and if anything she is very knowledgeable and friendly and sincerely wants to help you feel better. I'm not sure the person that wrote the negative review fully understands the kind of bodywork Stefania does. Also, I'm not sure exactly what happened that day, but the experiences I have had with Stephania have been friendly, professional and very helpful in regards to my pain management. She's very passionate about her work and when she says you may not be ready for the massage she is going to give you, it's because she's thinking of your best interest. She isn't someone that's just going to take your money. She truly wants you to get the most out of her sessions. I love that she cares that much about helping people. When she says it's not a massage, what she means is it's not a relaxing I'm going to temporarily make you feel better. I've gone to spas where I feel great afterwards, but hurt again the next day. After I went to see Stephania, I didn't hurt for weeks. Part of her technique is working on connective tissue that surrounds muscles and sometimes tissue is what is causing the pain. So the technique is working with these tissues to help the muscles they surround operate better and ultimately not cause you pain. In short that can hurt, but in the long term it feels better. The entire session isn't painful and she is very cautious and listens to when she needs to apply lighter pressure, but her goal is very different from other massage therapists. Her goal is to not see you on a regular basis and to work on your muscles where they don't hurt or you have a better range of motion. Because her goal is to give you a better quality of life, and it's for that reason that I choose her methods over all the spas in the DFW area. read more

Stefania knows the human body, and how to speed it to healing. After one session, I am already starting to feel better!

I was referred to Stefania by my fitness trainer who thought she could help with mobility in my hips (which I didn't realize was a problem). Stefania has definitely helped with that and my workouts and yoga poses have benefited (a lot of what I thought were knee issues were actually hip issues) but she was also able to give me back complete range of motion in my shoulder (which I thought was lost after breast cancer treatment and wasn't even aware could be fixed) and worked absolute wonders on my lymphedema (which also developed after breast cancer treatment). We are taught as lymphedema sufferers to avoid deep tissue massage but with Stefania's background in both lymphatic massage and bodywork she has been able to safely work the scar tissue without damaging those delicate lymph vessels. I have noticed a huge improvement in just one session! I'd never even heard of bodywork massage before and although I so wish I had found Stefania sooner - I am so grateful to have found her now! Stefania saved me from getting an MRI and gave me immediate relief. Recently I injured my knee and spent two months hoping it would get better with little improvement. I had jumped off a boat onto a concrete dock and the best way to describe what happened was that I jammed my leg--my knee didn't flex and it took the full impact of the jump. An X-ray revealed that there was no break or crack, but after two months, I still could not walk without a limp or straighten my leg completely. I was considering an MRI but thought it might make sense to give some therapeutic massage a try. I had heard that Stefania had a lot of good experience and had helped many people. I have to admit that it was not a "feel good" massage, but she worked the muscles that seemed to have griped and frozen around the knee. Even after one visit, there was a remarkable difference. Stefania had loosened those tightened muscles and I could straighten my leg and walk more normally than I had been able to since I "jammed" my leg. Two days later, I followed up with another visit and Stefania continued to work out the tightness in the muscles which just made it all that much easier for me to get back to my normal stride. This lady is a waste of time. I scheduled a first-time appointment with Stefania 2 weeks out for an orthopedic 60 min session massage. I called to confirm my appt and they acted like they did not have me on the schedule but said to come anyway. I filled out the paperwork, undressed and was ready for my orthopedic massage. Once on the table, Stefania, asked me if I had read the brochure and understood what she does. I didn't read it word for word but did see the words "massage", "sports massage" and "Swedish massage" throughout the brochure. I've had those before. She repeatedly told me this "was not a massage". Not sure why she kept saying that... So then she started pressing on the soft tissue on my leg. it was painful but I hoped it would help with my aching back. As soon as I said "ouch" as it did hurt, she stopped and said I was not ready for this and that I needed to "go home and read the brochure and then come back some other time". are you freaking kidding me?! she said "I'm tired anyway". really lady? my time is just as valuable as yours and I was not going to come back another time. I rushed after work and dinner to drive over here. then she said "and you just ate dinner". so what!! she has a major ego and pretty much just didn't want to be bothered. then once I got redressed, I went to leave and she rushed towards me at the door and yelled at me because I didn't want to come back. she waved the brochure at me again!! and said "You don't even know what I do, touching you was like touching a porchipin". what the hell does that mean?? I shaved my legs! ha!! sorry lady, but you are a glorified masseuse whether you want to face the truth or not. get over yourself. I would never go here again nor recommend any of my friends. Maybe this is normal behavior in Italy, but it's not the way you treat clients here in America. I've never had someone be so rude. very unprofessional! Good luck crazy! read more
