Stanley

Brought Stanley to grab a drink and a snack after a hike. They allow dogs on the deck and we enjoyed Brussel sprouts with an adult beverage out in the sun. Our server was phenomenal, very friendly and attentive. The Brussels were amazing! We will definitely be back!

Fried Brussels w/whipped Ricotta

OMG - BEST BURGER And the fried Brussels sprouts I've ever had!!!! This opened up 3/12/26 - we came on their second day of them being opened & we're FLOORED by the Double Smash Burger! So we came back one week later & had the same burger & the fried Brussels sprouts!!!! Service is awesome too!!!

This is one of the 2 plastic plates we were given to have our burger.

The burger was delicious, the fries were way too abundant, but these plates gave me a big thumbs down. That and my digestive track after I ate there. I hope you can do better. Manzanita needs this.

Steeple burger with sweet potato waffle fries and Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich!

I have to give a little update to Times Theatre & Public House because I finally figured out the…read moremystery of the screen being up during the daytime. Turns out they keep it raised until about 4 o'clock while they brew beer behind the theater, then the screen comes down later for basketball, games, and movies. Honestly, that just made me appreciate the place even more. I walk all over Seaside trying different spots, little hidden places, tourist places, all of it, and somehow this still ends up being my favorite lunch spot in town. The food never disappoints. Ever. The prices are shockingly good for what you get, and they somehow manage to get food out fast without sacrificing quality. What I love most is the space. Even when town is packed, you are not jammed in elbow to elbow with people. Families, kids, locals, everybody just looks comfortable there. Big open historic theater, great food, quick service, sports on the screen later in the day, and good atmosphere without the chaos. Screen up or screen down, this place is one of my favorites. Thanks guys for always being awesome.

I am into lagers and they had more than 1! Yay! I usually am only finding one at different places. I had a sampler tray and got all of the lagers. The place has a huge theater-sized screen and they were playing a game on the screen. The lights are kept on so don't think it is an actual movie theater style. They have tables. The drinks were good and the atmosphere was nice. I will go back. ... .. ..... .. ....

On a recent trip to Pacific City, we found ourselves returning to Pelican Brewing Company more than…read moreonce--and that says everything. While there aren't a huge number of dining options in town, we never felt like we were settling. In fact, we looked forward to coming back each time. If you're a beer lover, you'll be in heaven. Their selection is extensive, with everything from crisp pilsners to rich stouts, making it easy to find something that suits your taste. The location is simply unbeatable. Nearly every table offers a view of the Pacific Ocean, and if you're lucky enough to grab a seat on the patio (my favorite spot), you're practically sitting on the beach. Watching the waves roll in while enjoying a meal is hard to top. Despite being incredibly busy, every server we had was friendly, attentive, and worked incredibly hard. The only minor downside was that the restaurant appeared to be a little understaffed. There were times when empty tables were visible, yet the wait was still 20-30 minutes. Honestly, though, we didn't mind. Any excuse to sit outside, people-watch, or simply stare out at the ocean is time well spent. The food was consistently excellent throughout our visits. We sampled the clam chowder, fish and chips, Backyard BBQ burger, cheeseburger, oyster shooters (both the Mignonette and Spicy Mary), and the cheese curds. My favorites were easily the clam chowder and the fish and chips--both were outstanding and exactly what you hope for when dining on the Oregon Coast. Even if beer isn't your thing, the cocktail menu is worth exploring. I ordered the Tsunami Warning, a refreshing blend of rum, pineapple and lime juices, ginger beer, and Pelican's Tsunami Stout. It's definitely a unique cocktail that won't be for everyone, but I'm glad I gave it a try. My biggest regret? Never saving room for dessert. Every time I saw one pass by our table, it looked incredible, but I was always too full to order one. That's just one more reason to come back. If you're visiting Pacific City, I highly recommend stopping by the original Pelican Brewing Company. Between the incredible oceanfront setting, excellent food and drinks, and welcoming service, it's a place that's easy to return to again and again.

Unfortunately, the way we were treated made us feel anything but welcome. Our 3-year-old was playing with the toy bin they provide for kids inside, while we were mainly gathered outside. Like any toddler, he made a mess, but I was mindful of it and cleaned up after him when asked. About 15-20 minutes later, I noticed the entire toy bin had been removed. When I asked the staff member (manager?) why, her response was curt and dismissive--essentially saying she was tired of cleaning up after kids. She even said she "had kids too," but the tone felt more like scolding than understanding. I explained that we come to places like this because they advertise themselves as family-friendly. Instead of hospitality, we were made to feel like a burden, as though children weren't actually welcome. The worst part was overhearing her continue to talk about us to others while we were still there. That crossed the line from unprofessional to just plain rude. We ended up leaving and taking our business elsewhere. For parents constantly searching for places to enjoy a beer while their kids have space to play, I can confidently say Heater Allen is not it. If you don't want children there, don't advertise as kid-friendly--it's misleading and creates an experience that feels hostile for families.
