    20oz Rib Eye
    Maria D.

This is the best hidden place ever! The rib eye was the best I ever tasted. We ordered the 20oz ribeye dinner and paid 9.00 more for share a meal, they double all your sides and we split the ribeye! Huge portions, so delicious. The atmosphere is nice, owners are nice. Only drawback, seems like they may have had family or friends there so they were a little too familiar with the place, in other words table manners not good, the girls were talking about throwing up Sushi and other disgusting topics along those lines, not exactly appetizing. Later some guy talking to our server kept dropping F Bomb. I just don't like that type of language. Other than that it was fabulous and will definitely return.

This was an exciting trip that I wanted my in-laws to take. This was the first time they've ever been on a reservation which made the trip even more exciting. However the real treat was the amazing barbecue that we had. It was a great experience. You can't go wrong with whatever you pick there. The service was Prompt, receptive and friendly. I am Looking forward to my next

Enjoyed our first time dining at the Steelhead Lodge. Had heard only positive things about it for years, but never made the 50 mile trip before... wish we had gone sooner. The place is adorable inside, and the food was perfect- lots of it. We all left with a doggie bag. Ribs and steaks!

Very cool place off the beaten path, well worth the extra effort to find! The food was amazing (half of a chicken and two racks of pork ribs + salad, rolls, baked potato w/fixings & ice cream), more than anyone could eat, think man vs food portions! The service was prompt and kind. We also stayed in one of the rooms for the night, affordably priced and they had new mattresses. Cute and rustic, even had a little kitchen! No cell phone service here, but the wifi works! The owner operator lady was very helpful and polite. We would stay here again and recommend to family and friends!

We ate 2 nights in a row at this nostalgic, lovely restaurant and bar. The food was delicious! We had the ribs and chicken 1st night and the fresh caught Cod the 2nd. The huge grill is where the chefs do their magic. Our servers were delightful!

We visited redwood state park and stayed at Klamath, Ca. We decided to come here due to positive yelp reviews. The restaurant has a rustic feeling and has a bar area. We were met by a friendly owner and waitress. We ordered their famous pork ribs . They were delicious and meat easily fell off the bone. Each meal comes with salad and sorbet. The 12 oz rib eye was good but not impressively tasty. This is a place where you must go when craving for ribs when in Klamath, Ca.

Dining room. Make reservations if you're bringing a big party. Giant margaritas and daiquiris.

An old local favorite- I just returned to enjoy a Giant, juicy, tender steak. Friendly staff, quick service, crisp salad. Huge meat portions are cooked on an outdoor grill. The building matches the location- rustic, relaxed and casual. It was busy enough for a party of 4 to wait a few minutes on a Sunday night in August- so book reservations if you're coming with a group. Famous for their great bar and fishbowl sized strawberry daiquiris.

This was very tasty food, perfect after a day of hiking through the redwoods. Yes, the ribs were every bit as tasty as the other reviews mention. Don't expect any frills - salad was a large bowl of iceberg, carrots, etc. with a trifecta of dressings to dip. The meat, perfectly cooked, arrived with my potato and another carousel of sour cream & chives to scoop. The dessert was a cup of ice cream or sherbert, plain and simple. Yet the quality of the food and interior decor made this one of my favorite meals in Klamath. If you have the time, take a look at the details in the interior - from the redwood framed serving window to the river tiling on the bar floor - fun details abound.

I truly cannot say anything negative about this place as it really made our Redwoods trip much more memorable with how cozy the Requa Inn is. I was sad to leave. We were looking for a place to stay during our trip to the Redwood National Park and had planned to drive all along the coast, so needed a base for a few days. We found The Historic Requa Inn in Klamath, which seemed to be a good location as it was central to everywhere we wanted to go, which was key. But I didn't expect it to be as outstanding as it was. We arrived to the hotel before the concierge left, just in time, too, as the hotel doors lock at 8pm. We had no idea until we arrived and were told this helpful information, along with everything else. Since we got into town late, we didn't realize that everything in town was closed for dinner. The kind staff saw us trying to find a place to grab dinner, so he offered us his sandwich. Way too kind of him! Of course we politely declined and ended up eating snacks on our first night, but that just shows you how kind the staff are here. We had breakfast here the following morning, which was delicious. Even locals come here to this hotel restaurant for breakfast, so it's not just guests. The food is very tasty, hearty and is freshly made. I never ate anything here that I wouldn't get again. It was a great way to start our long day of hiking and adventures. Because the hotel was built in 1914, it's historic and charming. All of the hotel rooms are uniquely decorated, so no room is the same. It had antique furniture and decore. The lobby area and bedrooms do not have a TV, encouraging guests to enjoy the simple and classic, as they have puzzles, board games, and books in the lobby area for guests to use. I loved that. I especially loved reading out on the deck, looking out to the river and road. They also offer free coffee, tea and hot cocoa for guests and put out in the middle of the day port that you can pour yourself a glass of and freshly baked cookies. PLUS, since we visited during the Independence Day holiday weekend, the hotel offered guests a complimentary BBQ meal on July 4th! And it was not just standard burgers and hot dogs, they made grilled chicken with different salads, sides and fresh fruit. It was a great way to connect with other hotel guests over this shared, celebratory meal. Our bedroom was very comfortable. It had everything we needed, with wifi, a fan, night light in the bathroom, handmade soaps, a complimentary bottle of wine, tons of blankets, etc. Even though the room didn't have AC, we had no trouble cooling down with the fan and open windows that had fresh air coming through. I also loved that the hotel was in the town of Klamath, with no traffic noise or city lights, so the nights were quiet and peaceful. We really did not want to leave this wonderful hotel. So glad I was able to stay here and learn about the area. I would happily stay here again.

Just an email telling us what room to go to, and key was in door. When we got into our room, our box spring was broken, mattress so worn couldn't use the bed at all. Floors were extremely loud and loose boards. Contacted manager, they verified box spring was broken, and told us there were 5 vacant rooms to choose from for our 4 night stay. Picked a room, and thought that was that. Our basic Room was tiny. No TV, No microwave, no frig. Squeaky floors, can hear everything, no sound proofing between units. Next day we left for work. Around noon, we recieved a call from manager informing us they were going to move our belongings back into the original room, because they had new guests coming in. I informed them they didn't have our consent to touch our belongings, and we were not going back to the original room because of previous issues. They said, either I take the broken room or they'd have my belongings at the office for pick up, and I was being unreasonable. We had to leave work, Lose money and time, and drive over 30 minutes back to hotel to get our belongings. I informed them we just wanted our money back at this point, I'd rather sleep in my car. The manager said they changed out the broken bed in original room, we went to go inspect it, she tells us the box spring wasn't broken (3 witnesses to confirm it was) yet, they changed it. She said the entire bed was replaced. She was accommodating us on her lunch break, and going out of her way even when the "box spring wasnt even broken". She then says the room change was only for last night, and now the hotel had no vacancies and we had to take our original room, or she would contact her boss. I told her I needed a moment to think because i was very overwhelned by all this. Once she left the room, we saw she kept the sunken mattress which was unusable, and replaced the box spring. . They had no other rooms available all of a suden, and were unwilling to put new bookings into the room we switched out of, becasudden, she said "that would be unfair to the other guests" I informed them that I was unsatisfied by how they were treating us, especially paying the type of money this place charges to be inconvenienced by broken beds, room switches, and the attitude we recieved because of their mismanagement. Manager became rude, hostile and kept changing her story to suit her best interest. She lied to the owner about what occurred and we informed them we were checking out and due to the experience, expect a refund for the remaining 3 nights. Manager said they would consider it a "cancelation" and I would be responsible for 50% of the entire 4 nights. After staying less than 12 hours and having to deal with what we did, that was a shock. This place doesn't care about their customers or have any customer service. I say, keep driving to bigger a town, or you're better off sleeping in your car. For your sanity, don't go here, they don't deserve to be in the hospitality business. So sad.
