Our favorite place to go every July. Just consistently amazing, staff are so welcoming, helpful and friendly. The grounds are super clean and when you arrive it just feels relaxing....quiet and peaceful and it seems like the people that camp here all want the same thing...a nice, peaceful vacation away from everything. And we love it! We have 2 kids 11, 17 and it is something they look forward to and talk about so much. My 11 year old asked to come here for his birthday and we are currently celebrating with this view! Short distance from all the classic trails and the beach. This place is underrated. Beautiful, clean rv park with plenty of wildlife around. It's literally in the woods, we saw plenty of skunks, raccoons, and a few black bears. The owner Gary was extremely welcoming. The view was beautiful. We stayed 2 nights while visiting the Redwoods, which one scenic drive is without a lie, right down the road from this park. If you go, I recommend spot 75, it has what I think is the most beautiful view of all the park and it's tucked away in the corner so you don't hear much noise from potentially noisy neighbors. Word of advice, don't leave anything out overnight, cases of water, food, etc., the raccoons are bold, they will come and take your stuff. Had to save a neighbor's case of water from a raccoon. This place a heaven! We booked our week vacation here after looking at their website. The views looks spectacular and the campsite looked clean. So, while we were driving up the coast, we saw a ten of shameful looking RV parks and we kept hoping that ours wouldn't look like that! Wow! Just like the pictures on their website! Our campsite is right on the water. Easy check in, a gracious camp host and a very clean park greeted us immediately! I am not one to just sit and do nothing, but this trip I can! Well, if fishing in my front yard, watching seals play in the river, routing on the battles between the Bald Eagles and the Ospreys or watching a beaver build his den is nothing! Just beautiful nature all around! I can't wait to book my next trip here! I haven't left yet, and I already know I miss it! Great spot for a big rig! We have a 40' 5 th wheel and another 22 feet of truck. Easy to get in and out of, the staff was super friendly, we did make reservations. Klamath River RV park is a beautiful and peaceful place to stay, the scenery there is just breathtaking. We have been traveling thru different states the last two summers, stayed at different RV parks and Klamath River RV park is definitely one of our favorite. We stayed there twice in the last month and can't wait to come back. Its located near many attractions, but the park itself is in such a beautiful location you don't want to leave, my son said "can we stay here forever" Ocean is only short drive away, then there is fishing, hiking and much more nearby... There are about 6 rv camp grounds along the banks of the Klamath River, but this one impressed us with its natural setting, friendly and helpful staff, cleanliness and demographic fellow campers. We will be making this our spot when we come to this area( Golden Bear looked good too when we checked them out. What we liked better about them than Klamath River RV was cement pads and larger spaces and 50 amp electric. What we didn't like was a location right off of 101 and a more working class rough around the edges clientele. they were definitely geared more to fishermen as they had a dock on the river-- the other camp grounds looked more run down and had a druggie looking clientele) The cost is reasonable. With a good sam discount, the rate was $38.50 per day. For an additional $10 you can have a river front space-- definitely worth it, though the middle area would be ok too. the third area doesn't really have any river view- but there are communal sitting areas along the river bank and a communal fire pit--along with fish cleaning station and horse shoes. The sites along the river front have full hookups. They do not have 50 amp service- just 30 amp. The cable hookup was poor- a few very snowy stations. hookups for the sewer were a bit low so you may have to slowly open the valves when dumping your tanks. the sites are on grass, but amazingly level. be sure to have your legos or wood pads to place under your landing legs. wifi is free but very slow snd spotty-- and we were close to the office. the entire lawn area is well trimmed and litter free. The bathrooms are clean and well cared for. they have three stalls with toilets and two showers in each building for men and women. They are not wheel chair accessible. water pressure in showers was good. the plastic curtains provided privacy and each shower had a plastic chair available. showers are free. the only downside is it gets very steamy in the bathroom. The staff is amazing. You are guided to your spot and hookups are explained so that all are using their appropriate utilities. Staff is friendly and informative about letting you know about local sites and services. Our electric cord was equipped with automatic adjustments for different amps, but wasn't working correctly so staff let us use one of their plugs while we were there. Other campers are in the 30-mid 70 year age in well maintained fifth wheels, trailers and coaches. there are also two small areas for tenters- one right on the river bank. All were friendly, the few kids were well behaved and it was never noisy in the park. there is no traffic noise- even though you can see the bridge crossing the river on 101 from the camp. The road behind the camp is not busy so also quiet. This is a really feel good place to stay. It is understandable how there are many regulars who have been coming here for many years. read more

Stayed a few nights over the Memorial Day weekend. Reserved a river site ( all grass) which is about 20 yard from the water. W/E/S with cable (16 channels). Advertised internet. But couldn't even check emails. Cell service in the area isn't that good (Verizon). The view at the park was beautiful. The river looked great.(no river access). The park is very clean and had a coffee shop in am and did pizza Saturday night. Laundry facility was nice. Bathrooms were ok. Front office/store had very little supplies. ( shop before you head up not many stores in area). Very sharp turn to get into the park. Small town with good access to Redwood and the coast. Wanted to give this park a 4 but the lack of internet and parking slab or stones parking area. Solid 3.5-3.75. Very nice and quiet park. read more

We just pulled in and was quite surprised at the gorgeous view however, they would not let us back in so that we had a view out of our fifth wheel. There is also a two night minimum. Had I known this would be my view, I would have left if I could. There's also sprinklers on not only in front of our rig, but in back of us too. I'm just sad. read more

Wow! I hope next time I can stay longer. This is a gorgeous gem right on the river. We stayed in a river view full hook-up site. Basically It looks like a postcard from all the spots here. I think even the sites that back into the trees were wonderful too. Also If you have a tent there are some amazing areas for tents: sunny right on the river or shaded in the forest (still on the river). Pros: * Close to Prairie Creek State Park * Close to jet boat cruises * Close to Trees of Mystery (Take your dogs with you) * Big spacious grassy sites * Nice/helpful staff (owner is very nice and is on-site) * Coffee shop (even had coconut/soy milk options) * Views for miles * Good mountain bike trails near by * Well maintained and clean! * Relaxed, positive atmosphere * Fishing Cons (more an FYI): * No AT&T service in this spot, BUT they do offer wifi read more

Simply the most wonderful RV Park ever! The grounds are immaculate, the owner and property managers provide superior service to 5 Star Luxury resorts. It looks like a story book. The bathrooms are as clean as my home, and I clean daily. In the mornings, there is even a cafe to buy muffins and fancy coffee drinks for $3! Half the price of Starbucks and I can sip it at the edge of the river! Drive up the hill, about 2 miles beyond here for sweeping bluff views, whale watching, or go down to the beach and see the seals. We took our plane to get there, and the airport was so wonderful and nice people too! Trees of Mystery are only a few miles... thank you Klamath River RV Park! Pulled in here late at night as we had driven way further than we planned. This stop was the cheapest on our road trip but easily the best in terms of value for money. Right on the banks of the river and very close to the Redwood national park. If you are driving through in an RV, Campervan or with a good old fashioned tent you can not go wrong with this place. The owner even drove us to our spot in a golf buggy, awesome. read more

We stayed here 2 nights in 30ft TT. Ended up with a middle site behind the river sites but could Still see river and Had more space than river sites. There is no river access. It was clean and quiet, lots of bigger rigs. But didn't feel like a cute woodsy campground. We chose to try the Kamp Klamath in return stay and preferred it's more camping type woodsy feel bit their sites seemed tighter and it was more rustic but super friendly. I'd prob return to both. read more

We came upon Klamath River RV Park just off 101, easy on and off 101. The site is immaculate and sits right on the Klamath River. The grounds are well kept, and you park you rig on plush grass. Very affordable. Buildings include immaculate Restrooms with showers, and a Camp Coffee shop. Free coffee is set up on the porch and cappuccinos, lattes, expressos are only $2.00. There is a variety of fresh pastries as well. There is a playground for the kids and a koi fish pond. Gary the owner is a great guy. The location is close to several sites worth seeing. Beautiful. Friendly. Heaven on earth , in fact, God must vacation here because this RV Park is perfect. Surrounded by trees, flowers, Redwoods, and the owner's landscaping, we are in the midst of the best park we have ever camped in. This park has been our vacation destination twice, from Washington State. The staff and owners treat us with kindness, respect and give us our privacy. The restrooms, showers, laundromat and grounds are clean, tidy and sanitary. Imagine yourself sitting in park provided Adirondack chairs in front of the slowly flowing river. Eagles, Osprey, Turkey Buzzards and more soar in the blue skies over you. The wind whispers against your face as you look over picnic tables, horseshoes, and lawn games. Evening comes and the campfire begins as other campers join you in discussions about that days fishing. Or perhaps you all join together for a potluck dinner. A mile or so down the river - which the road above the camp takes you to is a mile long beach, the ocean, 50 or so seals sunning on the shore. Orcas dive and spout as they chase the salmon . On the way back, you may see a bear, elk or glimpse an otter. WHO could ask for more.? We will be back, again and again. Thank you so much Klamath River RV Park. We stayed here for 4 days while touring around the Redwoods last week. Overall, this is a very nice RV park with decent amenities and a super friendly staff. The spots are level and grassy and there are nice fire rings located all around the park. The location is stunningly beautiful, especially in the morning when the fog blankets the river and surrounding hills. The bathroom and laundry facilities are decent. I do wish the showers had an door instead of just an outside curtain. Every time someone entered or exited the men's room the outer curtain of the shower I was using would blow open a bit. There is still an internal curtain, but when getting dressed anyone else in the restroom may have gotten a good look at me. And believe me, that's not an image you want in your head... My only complaint is that some of the spots are very close together, especially the pull-thru spots facing the river. We ended up getting spot 75 which, in my opinion, is the best back-in spot in the park. There is a wooded area behind this row of back in spots and our front door looked out over the Klamath river. You'll pay a slight amount more for the river view spots, but they are worth it. If you are visiting the Redwoods by RV, check out this park. In my opinion it is the best of the bunch in the Klamath area. read more

If you're looking for somewhere to stay near the redwoods, and the park campgrounds are always full, this is the place. Beautiful vistas, nice climate, short drive to the ocean/beach and the coastal loop drive is right there as well. Epic sunsets. Called somewhat last minute to several places, Simon was the first one to answer and speak to me without being put on hold at length as well as being very personable. He quickly set-up the booking for me, I should've done it online and saved a little but the service was worth it regardless. The tent sites are grassy with woods on one side and the river on the other. There's a sink for washing dishes at the end of the row of 7 sites. They are side by side which could be a privacy issue for some. We stayed there 3 nights and the camp host was good about putting people in spaces that would work best for everyone. The group sites further down near the boat ramp looked very nice, would like to stay there next time. Bathrooms were cleaned daily (11am-1pm) and were mostly clean at any time. Never saw the club house open but that wasn't an issue for us. Only downside and reason for 4-star instead of 5 is the non existent wifi. It shows up but good luck connecting. *Tips: -They sell firewood for 8$ a bundle or two for 15$, you can buy eco friendly logs up at the crescent city Walmart (think starter logs) for 3.50$ a piece and they burn for 3hrs. We did a combination of the two. -Get the coupon as well 45$ for 59$ credit. It's basically half a night stay or 2 nights of firewood. ***DO NOT BUY FIREWOOD IN ORICK, there's a 7$ firewood sign with an honesty box after the bridge and school leaving Orick north towards Klamath... Looks like a good deal as the piles are large. It's Redwood. It WILL NOT burn even with starter logs and lighter fluid, haha. Lesson learned. read more
