In April, Steel Horse completed several projects at our home. --replaced vinyl siding around second story window with Hardie board and painted --replaced rotting trim around garage door, painted trim and garage door --painted front door and arch vent --installed a new full glass storm door (not pictured) --repaired a loose piece of vinyl siding in the back of the house --replaced rotting back door with solid wood & glass door and painted --power washed all brick and cement patio/driveway/entryway areas Jeremy and Heather were very easy to communicate with and rolled with our decisions/changes. The estimate was accurate and the work came in on budget. During the ~10days of the projects, Jeremy was here often overseeing the work, communicating with us, and double checking with questions to make sure everything was done correctly. We always felt informed of what was happening next. All of the subcontractors were equally easy to talk to and made us feel comfortable with the work being done. We were lucky to find Steel Horse because they were willing to do work for us that was deemed too small by other companies we had out to give bids. Come out after a reschedule and talked more about himself and business instead of taking interest in the work my wife and I wanted done, telling me 'oh you don't want me to do your work", referring to I couldn't afford it. I wasn't impressed with what little work I did see on their page, btw. Told me he would be sending me over an estimate, handed me a card and never heard from ol' Blu again. read more

Zak Mohundro with Steel Horse Constructors was great to work with. We had a water leak into the wall that caused some damage and the start of mold. They came in and treated, repaired and repainted. You can not even tell where they took the wall out. They communicated very well and showed up when they promised. Great job.!!! read more

Visiting friends while they are having their tiling installed is not always a great idea but something that just came up - and hey, free room and board leaves me little room to complain! I was in Buda (Ha. Love typing that) for a get together, but my friends were in the middle of having thier tile updated and repaired. I noticed the Steel Horse team was curtious and worked hard (unlike me the entire weekend). They did a great job and I just wish I lived closer so I could have them over for some home improvement projects myself. Keep up the great work! read more

Jeremy and Enrique of Steel Horse Constructors Buda came out to fix the drywall in my ceiling after a malfunctioning toilet upstairs left a good sized damaged patch. Enrique did a great job removing the damaged drywall and repairing the hole. Got the texture on the new patch to match and the ceiling is now good as new. Wow! I'm totally thrilled with the bathroom remodeling done by Blu and Jeremy. They took an old master bath and changed it into a stunning updated (and safer) wonder. I have sliding glass "barn doors" plus a bench in the shower. The tile work is phenomenal. They also redid my guest bath, leaving the tub, but updated everything else. I have more room now in these older bathrooms and appreciate all the details they added. Trim pieces, mitered corners, gorgeous paint and caulk work. Totally professional and dedicated. read more

Owners Jim and Jeremy and their crew did an amazing job replacing 90% of the flooring, stairs and trim in our house and painting the vaulted living room, stairway, and hallway (including ceilings and window wells). They worked with our timeline (to get it done before we got our furniture moved in) and were flexible with our start date (we were stuck out of state for an extra day). I chose to work with them based on reviews and was not disappointed. One of the reasons I chose them was other clients' comments about how clean they keep everything! They did not disappoint. Every evening they left our house as clean as possible and all of their tools stored for the next day. There were very few issues along the way but each time the issues were resolved quickly, professionally and above our expectations. The owners checked in frequently and even checked in on my job hunt. I felt like they cared about their work, my house, and me!
